Chris had spent a good portion of the day simply lounging around and enjoying the video-taped mauling over and over again. Buuut on one of the rare occasions Chef had his back turned Chris had snuck out for a few.
Now he was back, his own back turned towards the room as he fiddled with a package in his lap. Apparently wrapping wasn't something he had much practice with.

For the love of -- Chef balanced carefully on the step ladder he had nicked from another Audio staff member's office. His tail barely moved as he used it to keep his balance, reaching up to carefully adjust a couple ornaments on the tree. It appeared to him that the side he wasn't watching was being... Altered. Changed. Messed with.
Hell, someone was stealing ornaments! He had to break open another box of tinsel in order to cover the empty spots. Hopefully Chris wouldn't notice, but... Well, as long as it wasn't, say, his hair gel, Chef doubted he'd need to go through all the extra steps he was currently taking.
Once the last bit of tinsel was secured, Chef stepped down and folded the ladder up, hefting it up and over one shoulder. He walked towards the back of the tree and pitched it behind Maru's desk, then returned to the front. "Friggin' kids," he muttered, stretching. "Hrrragh. Hullo Chris, got any more plans for the interns yet? Heh heh."

Sadly, Chris had barely noticed the sad state of the one side of the tree. Between the video, his hair, and the present he was currently fiddling with he had been pretty occupied. Still it was fairly certain that if he -had- noticed he'd appreciate all the steps Chef was taking to fix it. ...Maybe.
At the other's voice Chris jumped, and quickly turned to face Chef while shoving the package behind himself to try and hide it. "The i-interns? Uhh..not yet dude! Workin' on it!"
Ohgodhewasn'tfinishedwrappingityet! About 3/4ths of the package was taped up, but one end was still quite obviously open and revealing a book inside.

"Workin' on it? You okay? Usually you'd have too many by now," Chef replied, frowning slightly and placing his hands on his hips. He looked concerned, then snapped his fingers. "Of course! I know, you've got so many ideas you're having a hard time pickin' one! Ha ha! That's how the host rolls."
Satisfied with his own incorrect deduction of events, Chef turned his back to Chris and looked around, surveying the room. "Sure is quiet tonight. Hmm... those interns must be up to something."

Wow...it had been a whole day and he hadn't really thought of a single way to torment the interns. He was a bit off in his game today, but he had OTHER things to worry about! "Uh yeah man...that's what I do!"
As soon as Chef's back was turned Chris hurried to tape up the last side. A few moments of crinkling paper later and it was done! Phew! "Dude...I seriously hope they aren't up to anything." No more garland or red bows PLEASE.
