Thank you guys. Appreciate it. xd Chingus Very nice Shin! I'll ask what's on everyone's mind, 'Do you do avi artwork for gaian's?' Well, yes, I do. I used to do it for free but it's just too much effort and time consuming to do it for free anymore. Between work, my band (I'm a musician), my girlfriend, and DMing I'm pretty busy but I'm sure if anyone needs some avi art done we could probably work something out.

Kali bakka a tishuf ahatt Al hudad alman dali It depends on the job, really. Sketching, finished line art, full color and shading, blah blah blah. Ya know. Also, I'd need to see or have a description of the character and how intricate it all is.

GoddTodd Lockwood (the artist for like all the DnD s**t EVER did a paintover for me of the piece I'm working on and improved the lighting, etc. So I'm working on recreating this scheme... but yeah... I'm all giddy. It always makes me really happy when premiere artists are nice people.

Todd's paintover makes her look like she's getting a sunburn from those mushrooms... did he purposely exaggerate to show vectors and surfaces for light diffusion?
You know my opinion Sere; I think you're as good as Lockwood hands down, but yes he IS a celebrity and that IS cool that he's nice.
One day though, I believe you must plant the sacrificial spider dagger in his back and take your place as Lolth's chosen. razz My crystal ball says you are WotC's most famous artist in a very NEAR future (except for Diterlizzi who I'm going to kidnap and put in my basement so you won't have competition).

O.O though admittedly, this isn't his best work, and i'm sure yours was better... this looks too oily.... To me it looks the opposite of oily. I get a sense of fuzziness towards the left side of the picture. And the hair looks a little staticy. And I'm not too fond of the lighting on her hands. They look a little washed out. I think more oily textures would have helped the piece. But that's just a personal opinion. I like to be able to see the character clearly. But that's still really cool that he did that for you. I'd be giddy and hold that piece of art with high pride to. ^^

Kay first of all, it's a paintover.. which is basically just a quick sketch over an existing piece to lay out lighting and composition; etc.
The hair is SUPPOSED to be static. Vierdah's lived underwater in a cave for hundreds of years eating drow. I don't really think she cares much about the frizzies.
Lockwood has been in the business for upwards of forty years now-- and his chief medium is oil paint. I think it's only natural that style would carry over to digital work. I will try to improve upon his example to the best of my ability, though.
