Miguel shook his head, mainly at himself. "no... it... cant.... no..." he was mumbling, and these were the only intelligent words coming from his mouth. he wasnt going to accept the possibility of having any kind of feelings for a wolf.
((2 things. 1. i still havnt said that he is, rather, the thought of the possiblility hit him. 2, i dont think 'arousal' would be the best word, from an omnicient point of view.))

((i dunno, i was only saying it, because, regardless of what 'Echo' would be thinking, i wanted to make sure that you knew it wasnt arousal.))
Miguel continued to talk to himself, but something in his mind registered her question. involuntarily, he spoke louder. "theres... just... no way... id have...... feelings.... for.... a wolf." the 'wolf' part seemed forced, or just out of habit. almost like he was going the extra mile to convince himself. all and all, it was still at a mumbling volume, but loud enough to be able to understand.

Echo's eyes widened and she flinched, "W-what did you say?" she finaly relized the awkward position she was in.

Miguel thought to himself, 'oh no...' he spoke, in an embarassed/slightly shocked voice. "i... i said that out loud... didnt i...?"

Echo's heart started to thumb faster for some reason, "W-what the hell did you say!?" she repeated herself.

Miguel gulped. "i... i said... that i... might have.... feelings.... for...." he couldnt say the last word, 'you' but instead, gestured toward her. he added, "hypothetically.."

Miguel gulped again. "because... it seems like... at this point... the only logical reason..." he hated to admit it, but he was starting to consider believing it.
((i gotta go. im gonna be gone till like saturday night or sunday morning. i might get a few chances to get online, but thats probably unlikely...))

Miguel noticed her blush. "yes...?" he said this, surprisingly, with as little saracasm as humanly possible. he was hoping for something that wouldnt leave him dead or in pain.
