"There's nothing to talk about, I don't remember dreaming anything. Actually ever since I became a lycan I haven't remembered my dreams. I am glad I didn't hurt you though. I don't think i could ever forgive myself if I hurt a friend of mine." he said a tinge of sadness in his eyes as he remembered the last time someone had been near him when he was having a nightmare.

Bethany put one gentle hand on his arm. "I don't know why... but I'm not scared Josh. I know you won't hurt me. And maybe you can't remember because... the dreams hurt to much. When you howled.. it sounded so sad. I just wish there was something I could do..." she said as she looked up into his eyes.

I grinned at her words. "You should never let your guard down near a wolf young lady you never know when I might just decide to gobble you up." I said in a teasing tone. Not wanting her to dwell on my pain anymore. Whatever the dreams where I could not recall them nor could I get rid of them, not even sure if I wanted to get rid of them. They were a part of me, just like the wolf inside me.

Bethany blushed as a small giggle escaped her lips. "I doubt I would make for that attractive a meal..." she admitted, looking down at the floor, only to realize how close they were to each other as they stood there. She wanted to just stand on her tiptoes and kiss him, but was far to shy and too scared that he wouldn't want to kiss her back.

"Trust me not only from looks but you have the scent of a very delicious meal." I said with a wolfish grin spreading across my face. It was true she looked and smelt so good it was hard work to keep the beast in me from getting loose. I shook my head to clear those thoughts and stepped back. The wolf in me began to growl inside my head telling me if I wanted her it too would have her. For all the things I was willing to share, I knew that if my beast came out now she would likely die. "Bethany....I think I need to take a walk." I said sadness again tinging my eyes. I silently prayed to the moon that she would not be hurt by this.

Her smile faltered for a moment, before she nodded her head. "Just let me get my shoes on." She was smiling again, but it was wary and fake looking. Like she knew that he was about to say something neither one of them wanted to hear. She quickly walked to her room and put on her sneakers.

I sighed as she went to get her shoes on. She had gone before I could say I needed to walk alone. While she was in her room I looked out my window to see people walking around. "Perhaps the multitude of people would mask her scent." I muttered as I pulled my last overcoat over my shoulders. It looked a bit windy outside and I wanted to feel the comfortable warmth it provided.Walking to the front door I waited patiently for Bethany. I hoped we wouldn't find any trouble on our walk, it seemed Blood Manor had chosen a pretty rough populace to be near.

Beth walked back to his room once her shoes were on, and caught the look on his face. "You... you want to be alone, don't you?" she asked him. She tried so hard to hide the disappointment in her face but nodded. "I'll... just go work on... something..." she said and turned to leave.

I grabbed her arm gently. "No that's ok, come on. It's a beautiful day and you look like you could use some air." I said not wanting her to be disappointed. I knew it was against my better judgement but I also knew that as long as I kept the beast in check nothing would happen. We would just be taking a pleasent walk. "Besides you've already got your shoes on and I could always use a traveling companion." I said through a grin trying to cheer her up.

She slowly turned and looked at him, feeling a little bit better. "If you are sure... it would be nice to take a walk, since I haven't done so the last few days... say... there's a city park... it's not big, but it's nice... have you been there yet?" she asked as she slowly and hesitantly slid her arm up until her hand was barely touching his.

I allowed her hand to get closer to mine and smiled. "No I haven't could you please show me it." I kept smiling as the wolf inside me began to growl again wanting to be let loose and have fun with Bethany. "I had no idea this place had a park I thought the forest was the closest thing you guys had to a park." I said as I opened the door feeling the cool air blow through and could hear the chatter of the people outside.

Bethany gave him another shy grin. "It's just a block past the coffeehouse." she said as her fingers slowly intwined in his. "Come on, I'll show you the way." she told him, feeling a little bit braver as she walked out the door. She stopped and let the warmth of the sun play on her face, and the light breeze ripple through her hair.

I felt the warmth of her skin, and saw the breeze through her hair and I bit my lip to keep from howling my arousal. I walked outside with her and looked around. There were more people outside in the day time than i've ever seen since coming to this place. "Then my course is laid out before me by you Bethany." I said grinning.

Bethany looked at Josh over her shoulder, not bothering to hide the grin and blush this time. She then looked back at the sidewalk, gently walking along so that she didn't drag him around like some... love sick puppy. She put her free hand on her mouth to stop herself from giggling to no avail.

I noticed the difference in Bethany's behavior gradually and began to wonder if it had something to do with what a vampire friend had told me about other werewolves. He had said that werewolves had a animal attraction to them that most women hard to resist. "Bethany are you feeling.....normal?" I asked as I began to worry.
