Hey, I have a question. When are you considered to be "fluent" in a language?
That does seem to be a rather subjective matter, doesn't it? I've always heard that it's when you start to dream in the language. But I am no authority on this.
I don't think that that's true, because I've heard of somebody who dreamed in Polish after only 12 non-immersion hours of the language
surprised I think being fluent in a language is being able to think in that language. Like, when I speak French, I don't need to translate back and forth from English, I can just think in French.
Then again it is a subjective matter like you said, so I'm probably wrong.
