"Well there are other... normal people," Lin replied, "You just need to look. Celeborn is normal, but he's not here right now."

To her Celeborn was very normal, granted he tended to remind her of Yukito who wasn't that normal, but otherwise he was pretty normal. At least she thought so.

"But Arwen is right, Admir is pretty normal."

She motioned for Beren to follow her back out, he was probably in the training pen. Lin wondered which horse he was probably training now.

Arwen giggled and waved to Elberon. "We'll see you later!" she called cheerfully to him as she led the others back outside. She started off towards the training pen, putting one hand to her brow to block the bright sunlight.

"Yes, he's there!" she exclaimed, pointing. "Come on, let's go!"

Beren followed after her quickly.

Lin took a look herself, though kept on walking towards the training pen so she could say his name at normal tone. She had learned through Ahren not to yell around horses, and the last thing she wanted was to cause an accident.

Granted if she really had thought about it, it didn't take much for an elf to hear, but it was one of those adjustments she hadn't gotten to yet.

"Admir."

Amdir turned from where he was working with the horse, and a wide grin split his face as he spotted his visitors.

"Hello," he said brightly. "What brings you all out here?"

Beren smiled and bowed his head at the man. "My name is Beren, I was rescued by the people here when I was a child ... I had no family when I returned home, so I wanted to come back here when I was old enough and join in the rescues."

"What he said," Lin replied with a smile, "Arwen and I are giving him a tour and showing him around. Since Ulrich is away and he'll be here for a few days, it would be a perfect time to get to know people."

Though after the tour she wasn't sure what he was going to do, maybe just spend time with Haradhel, Elrohir and Mommy while everyone else was was out.

"And get used to the insanity," Amdir laughed. "Welcome to Haven, Beren, and I hope your time here is everything you hoped it would be."

Beren smiled warmly. "Thank you very much," he murmured. "So far it's been ... well, more than I expected, to put it nicely." He laughed.

Lin giggled at Amdir's comment, it wasn't that insane, but she supposed to those that were not use to Haven's strangeness it was insane. However that is what made Haven fun.. for her anyhow.

"Well.... it's just the gardeners left," Lin replied, "And they're very sane... well.. there is also the hunters, but they're hard to find."

Amdir chuckled again. As quiet and reserved as he had been when he had first joined the ranch, he was so used to it now that it had rubbed off on him, and he knew that he could at times be just as silly as the rest of them. But in their line of business, they needed some sort of release.

"Well, I look forward to seeing you around, Beren," he grinned at the newcomer. "Don't let anyone scare you away, they're really all quite nice at heart."

Beren grinned. "Thank you, sir," he said, nodding his head politely. "I'm sure things will be just fine."

Arwen tugged on Beren's arm once more. "Come on, we're almost finished," she urged him. "This way!" And she started tugging him towards the field where the gardners were working.

Lin hurried along the two towards the field. Taking a hold of Beren's other arm so she wouldn't be left behind. She looked behind her a bit and waved to Amdir before continuing on.

When the four of them arrived at the field, Vanya was just stepping out from between two tall rows of corn. She had a bag over her shoulder, resting on her hip, that was full of the green-covered ears. Her skirt as usual had spots of dirt on it, but of course working in a field all day, that was just to be expected.

She spotted the three of them approaching and smiled, waving with one hand.

"Hello," she called out softly when they were near enough. "How are all of you today?"

Lin waved back running up to Vanya, Vanya was probably one of the people she really knew about, but didn't get to interact with a lot. She wasn't sure why now that she thought about it.

"Hi Vanya," Lin grinned back up, "We're having fun showing Beren around."

Fun, but full of questions.

"Ah," Vanya smiled, turning to look at the man, her eyes examining him closely. "The young dreamer ... have you found the answer to your dreams yet? Or is that the reason you've come?"

Beren flushed slightly, a little embarrassed. "No ... and no, I've just come to see if I can join the ranch and help to rescue the children ... I've no family left, and I want to help others the way that I was once helped."

Now Lin looked very interested, she was sure this wasn't the first time those dreams were referred to. She wondered if Beren would be too embarrassed to answer her question.

"What sort of dreams?"
PostPosted: Mon May 26, 2008 10:55 am

"They're irrelevant," Beren shrugged the question off. "Nothing."

But Vanya didn't agree. "Don't be so hasty to dismiss premonitions or warnings," she murmured softly. "More often than not, they are important and have great meaning, even if you don't think so now."

Arwen nodded. "Ulani has lots of dreams like that," she agreed. "But Mama says she has a touch of Sight, so that's probably why ... maybe you do, too!"

Well... she supposed if Beren had only one gift it was possible, she didn't know if it was possible to have two gifts though. Then again anything was possible.

"Do you think so?" Lin looked back up at Beren, "Mommy says dreams are funny things, they know things we didn't even know we knew."
