"Of course I am, I know more about the human anatomy then most doctors." He took out a handsaw to safely cut the stick so she could move to a more comfortable position. "Besides this one, do you have any other major injuries?" He took out a lot of gauze, his sewing kit, and some pain killers. "I might have to sew up some internal injuries."

She coughed, face turning red slightly. "Internal injuries? As in...inside me? So, your telling me you're going to be inside me? Sounds fun." She laughed, tracing her finger along the stick. Then, she held out her hand. "Before you give me those painkillers...they aren't going to make me...loopy or feeling like a drunk, will they?"

"I am not sure, but it will keep you numb while I do this." He handed her two pills. "And they should work quickly." He then reached for a scalpel and gloves.

She quickly swallowed the two pills and wrapped her hand around the stick, pulling it out slightly so she could lay down. "Get to work doc."

Edward put pressure on the wound with gauze. Grabbing the scalpel, he made the insision bigger so he could see. The damage inside wasn't too bad, so he began sewing. "You know you are pretty lucky. These injuries are pretty superficial." He caught the last bleeder, and started sewing her side up. "After I get you up there, I suggest bed rest for a few days. Though I know your not going to listen to me."

She nodded, keeping her jaw clenched nice and firm. She really hoped he didn't notice her nails digging into the ground. "Your right." She managed to force out.

He put a bandage over her wound and taped it. "There you go Lydia." He smiled at her, then began to pack everything away. "Though you really should at least rest tonight, I have a tent and other supplies up top by the tree."

She eyed him suspiciously and sat up, hissing at the jab of pain she felt in her side. Then, made a face. 'Damn. Just gave myself away.' She thought, looking up at him as if she never cringed in pain at all.

He smiled again. "I should have figured that." He moved to her side. "I am going to rig the rope to carry the pack and you at the same time as I pull you up. Then once I have you secured in the rope Ill go up top, bring you up, and then you are going to rest. Thats orders from your doctor and boss."

"Hey, Edward..." She muttered, looking around. If she was going to do this, she'd make it fast. "This means nothing, just thanks." She grumbled, placing her hand on the back of his neck and pulling him into a kiss. She quickly pushed him away, then examined her now bandaged wound.

"Your welcome." He was smiling the biggest smile of his life. "Your still taking time off and resting." He walked over to the rope and rigged it up for it to carry her and the bag. "Are you ready to move, or do you want to wait a little. I know your still sore."

He walked back over to her and picked her up. "Don't worry Lydia, Ill have you up in a jiffy." he set her into the loop, and began to climb. Once he was topside he started pulling her up, while standing on the branch.

She nodded, holding tightly to the rope as she was lifted. "Doesn't matter what you do, I still feel like a damn pinata." She mumbled, watching the ground below her and suddenly feeling light-headed.

Once she was topside, he took her into his arms. "You ok? You look a little green." He carefully carried her to the trunk of the tree, and sat her down. "Stay here while I go get the bag." He made sure she was completely stable sitting there before getting the bag.
