Ali smirked.
How pathetic. She actually thinks she can handle me.
"And I thought I was selfish," she shouted viciously, picking up her MP3 player from the sink. "The difference is, sweetie, I know the meaning of compromise, otherwise I certainly wouldn't be sharing this mangy little excuse for a room with you." She placed the headphones over her matted hair.
"Fine, play all you want, but don't come to me when the "neighbours" start knocking," she called indifferently, and switched on her favourite song.
Ha! Angels. Childish, stuck-up, holier-than-thou losers, the lot of them. Who needs 'em, anyway.

After a bit Gwen put the violin down. She picked up a book and sat down on the bed.

The murky water, clouded with grime and pieces of grass, was swirling clumsily down the plughole. Rubbing a clean, pressed, perfectly pink towel over her newly resored blonde hair, Ali unlocked the door with one hand and walked into the bedroom. Her head swung sharply to the side. Gwen was laid serenely on the window bed, an aged book clutched in her tiny hands. Ali knew she was waiting for her. She smiled.
"You think you're going to get to me, Gwen?" she asked sweetly. "You think you're going to make me mad, going to take me down a peg? Hmm?" Her eyes began to twinkle. "Dream on, darling," she smirked, pulling her suitcase to her and rummaging through, occasionally picking out a few random possessions. With her back to Gwen, she added calmly, "Let's get a couple of things straight, okay?" She pulled out a sky blue silk nightie and began to get changed. "Other than when it's completely unavoidable," she said, pulling the sleek nightgown over her head, "I don't want you coming anywhere near me. Ever." She continued to smile as she collected a few of her belongings and stuffed them into a miniscule blue purse. "I don't want to have to deal with the likes of you anymore than you want to follow me around like some sort of sheep." Ali turned to Gwen, her eyes now positively sparkling. The calm smile was still tightly applied to her jaw. "So if I ever need you, I'll call you. Otherwise, leave me alone." Swinging the purse onto her slender shoulder, Ali walked towards the door. There was no-one else in the dorm hallway, and as she opened the door and stepped into the hall, her bare feet making a pattering sound upon the wooden floorboards. "Sweet dreams," she smiled, closing the door behind her.

Gwen got up, turning invisible. She followed Alli, floating over her calmly. She'd rather be back there, but she was an angel so she had to.

((Oh, quick fyi: it's spelt Ali ^^))
Strutting cooly down the hall, Ali's eyes searched the doors around her. Night was closing in, and she knew that a lot of the other pupils and their angels would be behind them. She wondered half-heartedly what sort of people lived in the rooms beyond them before her memory harshly reminded her that the girl she had met before would probably be only a few feet away -- that is, if she had been let out of the hospital wing. She quickened her pace.

Gwen patted Ali's head, grinning. Hey, if there were angels it wouldn't be much of a stretch to believe in ghosts. She wondered how Ali would react to being haunted, she giggled at the thought.

Ali paused at the foot of a staircase, her eyes searching the hall before her. When she arrived at the Academy, she passed through a reasonably cosy room filled with a lot of plushy seats and a large fireplace, which she took to be some sort of a lounge. Now, however, she was hopelessly lost.
It's got to be around here somewhere...
Even if she wasn't close, Ali was by no means about to head back up to her room. She turned to go through a long hallway to her left when she felt a light patting on her head. She shrieked.
"SPIDER!" she wailed, clawing at her hair. Her chest heaving, she pressed her hands over her head and looked up, expecting to see half a cobweb waltzing in the air above her. Although she couldn't see any obvious sign of the thing that had touched her, she could hear perfectly well. She knew who the giggle belonged to.
"GWEN, I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE!" Ali screamed, racing away down the left hallway, her feet pounding loudly against the aged floorboards. She didn't know how Gwen had found her, but she wasn't going to give her the opportunity to catch up again.

-skaterella66- He snickerd to himself. "Maybe your no angle after all.." He smiled at her. He started up at the door they where standing infront of.
((Lol, looks like Ali and Gwen are getting along SWELL! xd
And Michelle's charge hasn't posted in forever.......what happened to her? Just curious.))
'Well I guess this is your room.." He frowned slightly, he reached for her hand and kissed it lightly.
"Good night Michelle." He walke dodwn the hall chukling to himself. He walked out of Gabriel. He trotted over to lucifer, quite content with his first day. He sat down under the tree with the book he was reading earlier in hand.
As the boy suddenly lifted her hand in his and kissed it, she waited til he left before she blushed in confusion. "Good night, Matt." she returned quietly, then quickly went into the dorm.
She sighed in relief and was suprised to see...........that there was no roomie here. Her stuff was here (for guessing by going through a couple drawers of clothes, it was either a woman or a cross-dresser, and she figured it to most likely be option #1), but no sign of a human being. Great, she had no clue if she was supposed to follow her or not, but then again, she'd been saving one charge all day, and she hoped the other would show up.
Getting some shirt and pants pajamas out of her bag, she went into the bathroom and turned on the water, shutting the door behind her and locking it. What she needed was a nice warm bath, then some time laying on her bed by the window and watching the TV or something. That'd do the trick.
Once the water was warm enough, she got undressed and went into the nice warm bath, and sighed in relaxiation. This was nice, being in her element and all.

I'm so bored! Theres nothign to do here, besides what I'm suposed to be doing..Which isn't what I want to do. Matt sighed to himself and put his book back in his book bag. He staggerd to his feet, wobbling back and forth. He could pass for a drunk..
He began to walk forward, all the angles he saw had stepped away a bit.

As the water drained down the sink, Michelle got out to towel off, after a nice relaxing bath to get her mind together. Throwing on her monkey pink pajama bottoms and a light pink tank top, she went about to fixing her long purple hair with a blowdryer. She just needed some time to chill; everything had happened too fast for her to comprehend at the moment.
A half an hour later, she was relaxing on the bed next to Mr. Stuffy. The young girl had turned on the TV to a low volume and got under the covers, hoping that this would help her fall asleep like usual. Since school started tomorrow, her alarm was already set, and she figured since it was still a tad early, that a droning TV and a warm atmosphere would help her fall right to dreamland.
Still, she couldn't help but wonder where her roomate was; even though Michelle didn't know her, it was still worrysome since she had a charge who she knew not whom it was. Other than a yelling about Gwen coming from outside (Gosh, most be that Ali girl), it was nice and quiet.

Who does she think she is, following me like that?...
The glistening moon, climbing high in the velvet sky, was streaming through the large, misted windows of the entrance hall. Ali raced down the gigantic staircase that reached into the centre of the room and stopped short of the ornate wooden doors that led to the garden, gasping and clutching her chest.
How big IS this place anyway?!
As her breathing slowly returned to normal, Ali began to look around her. In the moonlight, the entrance hall seemed much less welcoming. A few lights scattered in the huge lamp swinging overhead threw dark, misshapen shadows to the floor. Ali was suddenly aware of how alone she was. She sighed.
I want to go home...
With a sad glance at the world beyond the dusty windows, Ali walked warily to the foot of the grand staircase and sat on the bottom step. Her tiny purse swung across her waist and fell with a heavy thunk to her side.

Gwen sank down beside Ali, appearing. "You're really tiring." She said, looking at Ali out of the corner of her eye.

"I'm your guardian angel... in training... I'm supposed to follow you." She leaned back, looking at the ceiling. "Basically, I'm supposed to get through school without you dying. If you die, I don't earn my wings."
