"Healing, construction, costs more then destruction!"
Corbin's words rang true, and he intended to drive this fact home with his next assault on Roan's body. The mist was growing thicker and thicker, and for some reason, it was growing darker and darker. He was mixing in the abyssal shadows with the disintegration molecules of his body. He was going to not only disperse the molecules and atoms of her body, but at the same time, gather abyssal molecules around certain parts of her body, like arms, and legs to condemn them to the endless abyss.

*She had wasted blood just maintaining her form under the current onslaught, and though she appreciated his efforts and how smart he was being, this wasnt the lesson. Not yet. To that end... she stretched out*
Void's mantle!
*Darkness flowed over her until only her eyes showed, Void's Garden counteracting Corbin's attack. The longer each of them kept this up, the more it would tax each of them, and that she knew was something Corbin could ill afford at this stage.*
Weak!

Fianlly, Corbin re-formed across from Roan, sword in hand and his body left side on to her as he glared with that poker face of his.
"Weak. I suppose thats what comes from the shotty training. For all your whining about being betrayed by every man in your unlife, I suppose I was going to be the ring around. The son that didn't get his in. Instead, you were going to beat me to the punch, in all your parnoid glory. Pathetic."

*Where his physical blows had failed, that cut STRAIGHT through her. Gritted teeth, blood leaking from her lip as she reopened the cut there...
She touched the floor, growling menacingly. Corbin was damn lucky she knew he was being tested, and damn lucky she looked at this as his solution, else Phoenix would have been out, rules or no.*
How. Dare. You. Have I not given up EVERYTHING for you?! Have I not learned to be what I am NOT for you?! Everything I have done has been for YOU and THIS is how you repay me?!
*Her sword seemed to shrink, then split in two. Two Ferago's, one each hand. It was with a lack of grace but also less predictablility that she came in after Corbin now, furious and terrifying with it*

Without a change in his expression, Corbin waited for the last moment, and peeked into the future for a split second, and with that knowledge, he evaded, however after being forced by Roan's sporadic unpredictability, to wait for the last possible moment, Corbin took a cut across his neck just below the collar.
Rolling under her blades, aside from the near decapitation, Corbin then leaps away, and as his feet hit the ground once more, they were those of Roan's past lover, the silver haired b*****d himself, Kaiser.
Corbin had shifted into Kaiser, and altered his appearance with such precision, that it was impossible to find a difference, save for the weapon. Even his voice was the same, and all this cost him near his end in vitae.
"PaTHETIC whench. You surround yourself with all of these horrid little peons, simply to sit pretty over them. You torture them, then claim to love them...When your simply stepping over them to look all the bigger fish in the pond. ADMIT IT! Your just a foul wretch of a woman. No, your not even worthy of the title woman. Your just a paranoid old corpse."
'Kaiser then raised his weapon, regressing it back into a solid steel blade, and with all the speed he could muster, rushed in at Roan, aiming to predict her moves as best he could, take some blows in turn, just to get close enough that he could push his sword to her heart.

*She'd already been forcing her attack forwards when she realised what he'd done. A whole plethora of emotions racked her mind - anger, hate, fear, confusion, overwhelming grief and pain... enough to make her lose her focus.
The upshot? She gasped as steel pierced her clothing. Then her flesh. Then muscle, and finally between bone. She stopped just millimeters from the blade touching her heart, eyes wide with pain and fear... and hurt. Terrible, aching hurt.
And yet... she was a warrior. And proud. Even as Corbin's sword pierced her chest... her own had cut into his neck. Not too deep, but it was there.
For a few seconds, calm silence ruled, the crowd holding its breath.
Roan's eyes flickered to Corbin's face, teeth gritted against the false visage he presented*
... we trained you well... did he hurt you Corbin? Did he treat you as I think he did? Im so proud of you...
*A single tear, which only Corbin would see, her lips twicthing into a painful smile.
Then Ice was next to them both*
I declare this match.. a draw!
*The sound of cheering, though no one knew what this would mean, drowned out anything else*

As he looked down at his blade embedded in Roan's hest, Corbin's eye glazed over, and his form returned to him, banishing the horrid visage of that man, hopfully forever from his abilities. He drew his sword away as steadily, and gently as he could, not daring to reveal his own pathetic tear, as he sobbed under the roar of the crowed.
"I'm sorry, Roan.."

*She dropped Ferago, actually letting the epic blade fall as she draped one hand over Corbin's shoulders and turned him to face the crowd. She then took the belt from ICe and raised one of Corbins arms*
Champion of the Fang! Corbin DeSeer!
You did beat Malkis after all... wear it with pride.
That does not however solve the problem of letting your pet beast loose DeSeer...
Oh for ******** sake Reinholdt! You want me to prove to you how under control he is? Corbin. Grab that Kine waste of space and make him kneel...

Corbin smirked, not a smirk of amusment or pleasure, he just smirked, relieved that the entire ordeal was over with. As he took the belt, and draped it over his shoulder, and placed his hand on Roan's arm, he simply nodded as Roan commanded him to force kneel the kine, letting his tail whip out and loop around Reinholdt's knees, then pulling them down, into the ground, before pulling his tail back.

Reinholdt, Corbin is low on blood, sanity, and temper. And so am I. Either one of us could break you in two RIGHT NOW. And you know it. SO I suggest you stop this. Now stand.
*Reinholdt opened his mouth to protest, but one whip crack of Roan's tail dealt with his protests and he did so*
Now much as I hate doing this... Corbin? Kneel.

Corbin just smirked, it was good to have Roan back, and the trivialities of dealing with Reinholdt over with. Or atleast he thought as much, till Roan asked him to kneel.
This however, didn't upset him so much. After being forced to kneel for Ice for o long, it was good to kneel instead, for Roan. Thus without protest, he turned to face his Sire, and took a knee, lowering his head respectfully.

*The words were said with nothing short of familial love in them. When her gaze rose, its BURNED into Reinholdt and Ice, forcing the pair of them back*
I will not have you question me again. Nor will I have you harm my son. You will treat him the accord he deserves. He has outstripped my record by miles and you WILL reocgnise him as such. Your champion. King of the Pit.
*Gently, she raised Corbin up to his feet, then embraced him, burying he rface against his shoulder as the arena cleared and peopel headed out to collect debts and go home. Even Ice made a tactful withdrawal, as did Reinholdt, leaving the DeSeer's alone*
Bast I was so worried Corbin.. I am so so so sorry.. I should never have left you with him... I am SO sorry you had to go through all that... are you ok? I cant imagine what he did to you... watching you have to kneel for him.. my god, I am so sorry... please, forgive me...
*She knew she was babbling, but she was just so thankful he was alright, and that he had one. His pride had been shattered, broken into pieces, and the lessons had been learned. Yet curiously.. at no point had Ice or Roan ACTUALLY stated what the cause itself was... that was something Roan could reveal safely now with Corbin in the sanctity of THEIR home. For surely, that's what it was now. One of the things she had set into order on leaving Corbin with Ice was a slight change in ownership and roles at home for his return. The DeSeer mansion now was officially registered to Lady and Lord DeSeer, instead of just herself, as were nearly all the accounts and records that went with her name. No longer would Corbin be viewed just as her heir and childe, he was recognised, even in the Prince's eyes now, as a fully fledged warrior and member of the Camarilla elite, a name in his own right. To say she was proud was an understatement. He rfingers clung tightly to his shirt as she reassured herself that he was there, real, and it was over. The very aura of this place suffused her own head with memories of pain and suffering, mostly her own, and finally, she could seek the solidarity she had been denied back then. Unlike her Sire... she had tried to be there for Corbin. Had supported him. Shown her confidence in the ludicrous bet. Prehaps then, this had been training for both of them, not just Corbin*
You have a choice now you know... as Champion, you have the choice to stay on for as long as you wish to defend your title... else you will have to return it for a new champion to claim. A whole new battlefield will emerge now with Malkis gone... what will you do?

Sighing, Corbin Rolled the Ansuz in his hand, before holding it across his lower back, just above the rump and in seconds, the sword was engulfed by a dim glow, before it transfered to the sealed state of a sheathed, unremarkable katana, two belts running around his waist to fasten it there.
"There is nothing to forgive, mistress. It was all for the best, after all. Besides the fact, i know you had no choice but to hand me over to him. I'll recover."
Embracing Roan in return, he smirked, placing his hand on the back of her head and stroking his fingers throuh her hair.
"Let someone else have the belt, I have duties, and a family to look over, clan and otherwise. I'de imagine the ladies aren't at all pleased with my absence. Aside from them, I understand, there are some new recruits. Its about time they met the clan leader, below vengeance. I may yet come back one day, for the challenge of the pit."

*She pressed further into Corbin, fighting back tears. Having him accept her actions almost hurt more than having had to carry them out.*
While you were away, I had the clan files adjusted. You aren't below me as far as the clan is concerned - everything is OURS Corbin. You've changed so much since the day I met you. And you are all I ever hoped to achieve. In light of that, the mansion, the funds, everything I own, is now in BOTH our names.
I never want to hear you call me mistress again, nor do I ever want you to kneel for me. We are equals, Lord DeSeer, and if you ever require me to kneel, know that I always will. My blood is your blood, and your blood is my blood.
*She stepped back and bowed deeply, radiating pride*
It will be my honour to accompany you out of this hell hole...

Smiling, as he brushed the wild strands of hair from his face, after all of these fights, Corbin returned the bow, moved by Roan's gestures. To make him the lord of the manor, the clan, and everything that came with it. It was so far and above anything he had ever hoped for, back in the days when he first came to Roan, demanding she take him in, and make him stronger.
"You've made me stronger, just as I demanded back then, Lady DeSeer, so foolishly and out of place. Thankyou."
Corbin then raised from his bow, and as his tail scooped Malkis' skull up from the ground off to the side somewhere, he placed his hand on Roan's shoulder, nodding.
"Lets head home then, Roan."
Corbin then willed the shadows up around the pair, and as they shut around them like a clossing lotus, the pair were thrown back to the DeSeer mansion.
