*An exuberant, raucous yell echoes through hallways of the laboratory*
YAAAAAAAHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
*Pvt. Mikhail bursts out of the metallurgy lab, plastered in what looks like a silvery paste from his waist up. The look on his face is the one of a man who has just won the Superfecta at the Kentucky Derby and he acts as though oblivious to anyone around him. After a few moments of looking triumphantly back into the lab, he cuts a very, very moronic dance move*
I did it. I did it. I did it.

*Hears an excess of noise coming from one of the laboratories and runs out of her office to see Private Mikhail running around like a maniac* What did you do private?

General Tso It seems he suceeded in ending the development of our spacecraft xp Heke? No, no, no. I've succesfully field tested a new alloy that can be used in weapon production! The model I tested was an older Wave Rifle, and higher amounts of heat dissipation and absorbancy allowed for a fire rate approximately 23.65% faster, and reduced the over-all weight of the gun by about 30%!

I'm actually the one completing the space craft. I'm just refining the interior, ships computer and O.S. and also refitting the bridge with the proper controls. The ship will go by the name of X.T.M.S. (Xi Tech Militia Ship...pretty basic) Dunerunner. It will be capable of speeds of up to eight times the speed of light without the disadvantages of light travel by using the system of folding and warping the space around the craft to travel great distances. It's no Infinite Improbability Drive...but it will do.

Introducing the first comissioned ship in Xi Tech Industries, and the Militia.
I give you the X.T.M.S. Dunerunner, the first interstellear battle cruiser.
It's a lot of firsts I know...but let me tell you...I've worked quite a bit on this one. I'll be getting some stuff on the ship later, such as visuals maybe, but otherwise, it's finished.
It has 35 decks with a maximum sustainable crew of 450. For now it will be run by mostly by the sentury androids until we can get actual crew to serve on it. It has divisions as well, including security/tactical, engineering, command, and medical. The bridge is where all sects represented by the head officer of each group tend to be, where they command the ship and all aspects of this.
The ship runs off a propulsion system that uses a system of antimatter-matter collision to produce enough energy to power subsystems in the ship which allow the folding and warping of space to allow us to travel great distances in a short amount of time. Relatively it will appear to go upwards of speeds that of eight times the speed of light, but since we are folding space, we technically aren't exceeding the speed of light. The ship also has a sealed computer core with voice only authorization, and has a sensitivity level to the point that it has to come from the human being, and cannot be synthesized via machine. Right now, only the Major and myself have access to the ships main computer core.
The ship is also equipped with sizeable quarters, two crewman to each, for all non officer personal, as well as mess-halls and recreational halls to help out with hunger and boredom, as well as a state-of-the-art medial ward, which I'm hoping that will be run by our very own Karazuma.
The ship also has an armory where all fire-arms are kept, as well as launch bays where shuttlecraft and suits are kept. The shuttlecraft are for planet land, however the ship can make planet land, it his a little trickier and more complicated than the much smaller shuttle craft.
The ship is also equipped with a complement of torpedos, missiles, and mines modified for the vaccuum of space, as well as vast array of high-yield particle lasers that are capable of cutting through 4 feet of solid lead. It also has a shield generation device, which will protect us from enemy fire as well as space dust when travelling at relative light speed. Trust me, a piece of space dust when striking a ship at those speeds would probably blow a hole in the ship the size of my fist.
All in all, the Dunerunner is a magnificient ship, and a valuable addition to both XTI and the Militia.

*perks up at the words "laser weaponry"* Could I see the blueprints of one of those? As well as a chemical analyisis of the focusing crystal you used? Or heck, do have any spares I can tinker with?

It will require a position in engineering in order to even peek at the blueprints. But I'll need the Major's permission before we start staffing the ship.

Guess I'd better get to work on some new close-range combat equipment then...

But very nice, the Dunerunner.
