Ian felt really happy. He enjoyed helping people and making them feel better. When other people were sad it made him sad so he worked really hard to try to make everyone feel better. "Blue ears would be cool," he teased. "Imagine how different it would be." It was so easy to be happy now. He felt lighthearted and his eyes shone with a small happiness.
Ian got along so well with the people on the island. It was a first in his life and he felt that nothing had been better for him than coming to the island. He had friends, and that was more than he had ever hoped for.

Awen grinned at the thought. "Blue ears WOULD be pretty different..." She never really cared either way if she was different or the same as everybody else really. But she had to admit blue ears would be pretty cool.
"That reminds me of the time we painted my friend Joel blue for a comm tech video." She grinned broadly. "Way back in grade ten, it was runny we used the school's paint he washed it off but was stained for days! Man his mom was so angry...."
How random her thoughts string across by simple colour association. she didn't mind though she was having fun. She sensed that Ian was really a nice guy and he just radiated with happiness it seemed.

Ian just had to make another comment, he couldn't resist. Where had this side of his personality been hiding for years? "I had always wanted to have an abnormal color of skin. Never blue, but I wanted to have green skin, like the aliens on sci-fi books always seem to have. I am such a geek." His grin was mischevious, almost like that of a young boy. This was part of himself that had never been allowed to survive in his old world, but now was just as much him as everything else. "I never did get to go to a sci-fi convention though."

Awen grinned a little bit. "Geeks are fun though! I used to go to anime conventions all the time; I dressed up and everything! It was great fun really."
As Awen was laughing she suddenly was caught up in a yawn. Pausing from the lack of breath at first the yawn overtook her quite rapidly. She blinked a little bit afterwards and realised she had gotten really tired since earlier. She did have a full day after all...
She got up slowly and smiled a little to Ian. "I hate to cut the good times short but... Um..." She couldn't help it and yawned again. "I think I'm really about to pass out here."
She rubbed her eye sleepily and smiled to Ian. "It was great meeting you though, I'm looking forward to hanging out again sometime okay? We can totally Geek out sometime together eh?" She giggled again.

"I always used to get teased about being a geek, but at least I had fun. What people think never really concerned me." He caught her yeawns and realized how tired he had beenwhen he first arrived on the island. "I'll just be finishing my food now, but I would love to hang out again sometime. You should get some rest. You seem really tired." He smiled, "nice to meet you as well."

She smiled at Ian. "Thanks really... I think it has to do with the different time zones and everything why I'm so tired." She shook her head. "I never could get used to time zones.." She mumbled looking down a bit.
Still though her eyes seemed bright when she looked back up at Ian. "I'll be seeing you around then. I hope you...fix the problem with your tail and all." She snickered.
Turning to leave the cafe she gave a small wave over she shoulder before returning to her duplex for the day. She smiled proudly at herself. Not onyl did she stand by the ocean with Colche for a long time but she met a new friend too. This had turned out to be a pretty good day for Awen.

*New Roleplay*
Emerwyn stumbled down the stairs, cursing the fact that she was on the second floor. She tripped on the last few steps, falling nearly onto her face. Her body was sore all over from spending the night on the floor. Not to mention the immense pain from the night's transformation. All she knew, that no matter what the pain, she had to get outside. She couldn't bear it in her room, especially not now. She finally managed to get out of the door, but when she did all she could do was collapse by the door, not even closing it. Well, this is farther than I thought I'd made it. Emerwyn's original intention was to get into the jungle. It was the most soothing place for her here. Temporarily drained, she decided to catch her breath here. She wondered if it was this draining for the others, but she then reminded herself that she was sick. She probably looked even worse than usual after last night's ordeal, too. The trickle of blood still stained her chin. She leaned her head back against the wall, panting slowly.

Awen had been walking back from the Cafe when she saw movement by the duplex. She looked up fully and expected to see an islander walking out the door, maybe someone she hadn't met before. What she saw was Emerwyn collapsing. Her heart skipped a beat as she ran forward to the woman on the ground. "Oh my gosh.." She said quickly under her breath. She kenlt down beside the weakened one. "Are you alright?" Giving her a quick looking over Awen noted quickyl the blood still on her chin, that was not good. But she slowly noticed Emerwyn's changed features. "Oh gosh!" She said a little louder. "Um, are you okay?" The blood, was that the cause of the transformation? Lauren said it hurt but no one said anything about.... Poor girl she looked as pale as a ghost!

Emerwyn looked up quickly. It was pretty early, even for breakfast. She didn't think anyone would be around to see her. Why does this ALWAYS happen?! She rubbed a little bit of the blood off of her chin. "I've..... been better."

Awen nodeda little bit trying to be sympathetic. "Rough trans huh?" She really didn't suspect much else to be wrong. Lauren was happy and even bouncy when she first saw the girl transformed, but that was awhile after it seemed. Awen honestly just thought the girl was suffering from the transformation. She kept her concerned eyes on the woman before her. "Need some help up.../' She offered her arm out to help her up.

Sure, you take it lightly now, just wait... She saved her spite for people who deserved it, however. "Well, I think, because I've been ill, that my reaction was more harsh than others. I've seen people the day after... They seemed a little better...than..." She coughed a little. "I just need some air..." She thanked Awen as the blue-haired girl helped her awkwardly to her feet. "They're still a little shaky. My toes feel off balance."

Awen held onto the girl's arm still just incase. She didn't think Emerwyn was in that great of a mood. "Air?" She looked around a little. Best air was probably atthe beach or those cliffs she stumbled into before.... Awen shuddered a little bit. "You going anywhere Emerwyn? I could help you....?" She tried to smile a little bit but was still concerned for her.
She was glad she got up rather early that morning. Her sleeping patterns still haven't been going to normal. She...really hated this island weather... stupid thought of being surrounded by....what if it stormed while she was asleep? She could wake up to the island under a tidal wave or something.... She stopped. helping someone, can't help if you're hyperventalating....
She smiled to Emerwyn. "So?"

"I was going to go into the jungle. Around the trees.... the very source of air... that's the best place for me..."
She looked sincerely into Awen's eyes. "Thank you."

Awen returned the look a moment with a really warm smile before leading Emerwyn to the jungle. "Hey, no problem right? I mean we have to help eachother out, don't we?" She shrugged a little bit.
Awen's smiled seemed to grow heading towards the forest. She tried to think of something to say. Something to keep her from blurting another 'so you're sure you're okay' things.... "Um so..." She remembered the bookshe was going to give to Emerwyn.
"Read any good books? I saw you searching the shelves... uh I had a book i've been meaning to give you... Every read any Terry Goodkind?"

She kept a slow pace with Awen. "I haven't had the pleasure. But I know we stocked him at our bookstore." Emerwyn remembered every book that the store held. "I'd read practically everything they had in that pathetic excuse for a library. So I picked up Frankenstein to read again....." The talk of books reminded her... She hadn't even touched her memory book for days! That must have been adding to her strain. And now that she was thinking about it, she had to have it.... now. She even grew slightly panicky, and she stopped in her tracks, moving her hands about in a flustered way, slightly lost for words.
