Oh he is still around. After AI he became a huge celebrity in NC. News stations from the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) talked about him a lot. Then apparently he said something that made him lose credibility and a majority (not all) of the fans lost interest. He still goes to tours and you'll hear from him every now and then.
Speaking of AI, Kelly Clarkson just had a concert here this past month, now Daughtry is having a concert this month.
I can't help noticing that all the TN pairings we come up with are either Island nations or Coastal states. Andrew is scared of water.... >w> plus for whatever reason when I picture TNSey or TNHI I keep hearing Elvis music playing in the background. Maybe it has to do with Leo & Stitch.

I wonder what Aiken said... I don't really keep up with stuff like that but now I'm curious. Honestly, I thought he was better than the guy who beat him.
I ain't scared of water! I love my rivers, lakes and streams!
Yeah, freshwater stuff is fine. But the ocean is kinda... um...
Hehe. There's no real historical reason for TN disliking the ocean. I just thought he was a little too much of a bamf historically and wanted him to have a weakness. So I made him so he has trouble swimming in ocean currents/waves, is clumsy on boats and is a little awkward walking on sand.
Oddly, TN actually has a VERY famous Admiral from the Civil War who fought on the Union side. The Admiral is most well known for the (technically misquoted) phrase "DAMN THE TORPEDOES!! FULL SPEED AHEAD!! >_<" which is a very Tennesseean way of fighting. =u=;
Even if he was fightin' against me at the time I'm still pretty proud of him.
If I remember right it was Admiral Farragut? I think he also had a terrible case of Vertigo, too, so they literally tied him to the mass to keep him from falling down while he gave orders. xd *loves how derpy/ridiculous/crazy most of the Civil War generals were on all sides*

That doesn't surprise me to hear that he lost popularity because of something he said. I mean, look at The Dixie Chicks. They used to be HUGE! And then they talked badly about Bush and no one would play their music or buy it, they received many death threats from people who used to be their fans, and even their family had been targeted for attacks for a while.

*flings stuff for attention* Hey! Heeeey! This is the basic design/color scheme I was thinking of using for the traditionalish picture. I've taken a bit of creative license since the Dahlia didn't become her official flower until 1900's, but I thought it was cute so... What do you think? I'll probably draw it in legit size instead of chibi when I actually make it. DahliaMexiOh, yeah! I remember the Dixie Chicks. I used to really like their stuff when I was younger... They hated on Bush before hating on Bush was cool, but wasn't the main reason people got up in arms about it was because they said that overseas? I didn't know Frankenstein was the scientist until I read the book and even then I got confused a few times. Yeah. They were doing some sort of meet and greet thing over in Europe when someone asked them their thoughts of being from the same state as President Bush. They said they were ashamed to be from the same state because he was a poor leader and was pretty ignorant, which pissed off a lot of their fans who were either from Texas or were Republicans that had voted for Bush and claimed that anyone who listened to them were UnAmerican and basically betraying the U.S. That's why radio stations refused to play any of their stuff for years and why you almost never heard from them again. I don't blame them, though. They practiced their freedom of speech and were basically treated like witches for it. Sure, to talk that way over seas was a bad idea, but I honestly think they would have been treated just as badly had they said it in America as well just because they were the "all American girl" group of the time and so saying something unAmerica was just like a, "Wait, what the hell happened here?! gonk " I remember that even friends who didn't like country at all LOVED the Dixie Chicks until that incident.
