So, I dropped my phone when I got home.. and it died. The touch screen refuses to respond, so I can't unlock it, which makes it altogether useless... I can't even connect the USB to get my files off of it because it's set-up to only connect for charging unless I select otherwise.. and since I can't use the touch screen, I can't select otherwise. And I don't have an adapter for the microSD ********, I'm so mad right now.. I can't afford a new phone -.-

[Gives you a big hug]. . I know it won't fix your phone, but sometimes you just need one. What Mew Mew just said; Send it to the company, or whatever, and hopefully you'll get a new one free?- Well, actually, does the Warranty cover this kind of thing? (If it came with one?)

I went to the Verizon store today and asked what I could do about it. I wasn't sure whether our insurance covered all our phones or just the main phone line (being my dad's). They said it covered all of them, but that I would need my parents to put in the request for a new phone since the account is in their name. Luckily, Foxi had her old phone (from before she upgraded to an iPhone) So she gave me that to use until I can get a replacement. I'm good now~
What really got me was the fact that I had a protective case on it, and the phone only dropped a couple feet.. the case didn't even break, nor did the screen or anything.. and it's happened before, because I'm a klutz. I don't understand why it would decide this time that it didn't want to work anymore.

@ Koji: The phone probably went out for the same reasons laptops can go out if you drop them from high enough or enough times: parts get damaged from physical (not electric, unless some wiring went loose enough) shock when dropped. Depending on the drop distance, the damage might not be there immediately or at all, but if you drop it enough...lol.
Protective cases, which I'm assuming are those flimsy leather and plastic ones, those chunky metal and plastic ones, or those useless rubber ones, don't do much to protect your phone from anything other than dirt, scratches, notches and maybe the incidental spilled water. The best nearly-drop-proof case is a roll of bubble wrap!

@ Mikey: Awwww. . [Hugs] Well, I'm glad you're happy again! And someone should buy little Foxi Cleopatra some roses, or something. She's so nice. .
@ Jay: But, Jay,. . . Bubble wrap isn't stylish!! D;
@ Mew Mew: Yeah, Bubble wrap is very effective!

@Koji: I got into it with the Verizon representatives recently about a similar situation. I get the need for protection. I do but I don't understand why, if you obviously use one of the phones on the account, they can't do it anyway. Especially for cases like yours. Yes, its in your parents names but they gave you the phone to use and you have insurance on it for cases like this. So what's the hold up? Anyway, I do hope you get a replacement soon. Foxi is sweet. =3
I like the bubble wrap idea. XD

@ Casey: Yes, the Bubble wrap idea sounds really good. I should invest in some, and whenever Gabe (my six year old cousin) wants to ride his bike I can just wrap him up in it. (He rides his bike, and he falls off of it at least thirty million times in one day. Maybe the Bubble wrap really would come in handy!)

@ Nariana: Lurking, of course.
Bubble wrap: Yes, bubble wrap. If it wasn't the best available solution, why would it still be used to protect fragile things being shipped to a retail store?
@ Styk: Lol, I'm imagining the brat in a suit of bubble wrap. Do we get to call him Bubble Boy? razz
========================= By the way... I had the prologue part of the RP archive finished. I decided to take a holistic approach to the cutoff points in between documents, so the kinks get worked out faster. The two issues now are 1) getting these things hosted, and 2) creating a supplementary manual that contains information on the canon, which I haven't even thought of until after I finished it.
For the first issue, I'm figuring I can make a Freewebs site where these will be hosted (I'll do that today, maybe now if TOR/school network can handle it), and my Dropbox account can handle the downloads. Done.
For the second issue, I'm still chipping away at it. I'm not sure if I should just put everything in the manual asap or try to keep the info on the same track as my other uploads. Like if I have the archival as far as the Zurg tournament arc, there will be no information about events, people, or places that took place after that arc inside the supplementary manual.
