I don't go to church. Its not just for the church. Screw the church for the moment. Its not just a specific denomination. Its like saying god is for catholics only. It just don't work that way. But its Handel's Messiah. Look it up. I can't help you much in describing it. I mean, its like trying to describe Beethoven's second. I just can't tell you what it is, you have to have a small understanding of classical music. I can tell you its famous though. You have the Ode to Joy, you have Messiah. I mean, look it up. http://www.minnesotaorchestra.org/audio/handel_messiah_hallelujah_chorus.mp3

*slams head into desk*
you don't go to sunday sermons and hear it! Damnit!
Its a spiritual piece tied to the church. Its not something the church would do on a regular normal basis.
You normally have to get tickets to see it. Its like a concert event... jeesh... you are uneducated...
next you'll ask who Handel is... then who was mozart..

Its not that. I've just never met someone who has never heard Hallelujah before.
And Technically, your statement is flawed. I am not in a military indoctrinating program. In fact, I do not plan to have any involvement with the military once I'm freed of my parent's paycheck.

Despite my catholic upbringing, i was bought up in a community of 300 people, all of an irish, polish, german descent whom all share a similar rual background. the big thing for us was the county fair in the next county over. Before the Internet all I had was our crappy library and the rare trip to the big city. so pardon me for not being an expert on classical music.

That makes it even worse... German and polish descent... Heck, in a small town, there's probably some uptight (assumtion, not fact) religeous nut...
know what? Nevermind...
I don't know what the hell to say. I only move every 6 months to a year. I've been in over 27 different schools for grade school alone.
Right now, since joining gaia, I've moved 4 times. I don't do diddly squat. I spend more time on a cattle farm then I do at my house.
And the fact is, they're a town of 120, german polock descent, and they've heard of it...
So nevermind.... I give up trying to tell you about it. I'm not going to waste time trying to explain it to you, something that's pretty much fundamental classical music, if you're just going to blow up in my face about it.
If anything, it should be the reverse. I'm the cityboy. I learned from farmfolk. God knows school is useless.
But I'm not going to quarrel over somethign as frivolous as music. I'm just trying to say that to not have ever heard it is like never knowing what Beethoven's fifth is, or anything.
But I see i've failed. Screw this.. I got better things to waste time on, such as translating this damnable passage for german.Heaven knows Hermann Hesse would kill me right now if he saw how badly I butchered his version of Siddhartha.

Nelowulf Do you know any good SW operas? otherwise i'll have to create some... If FP would just post in the RPs to get them rolling a bit.. Yep. *cough!* Em Squad *cough!* Unless, of course, you'd like me to puppet the team all the way to Hoth ... And, about the only classical I know of is Strauss's The Blue Danube. sweatdrop And Star Wars stuffs. ^^;;

Not tonight cale. This god damned translation is being an a** to me, and I only jsut finished my chem reports.
78 different points to plot on a graph is not a very fun task. And its all hand written, and all the computations...
I'm just stressed out tonight...
Oh, and you beating the hell out of me? There's not a licking I've ever had that I haven't given double back. I might be small, but I'm slicker than grease when it comes to wrestling and I pack a whallop. Trust me, you may win, but you'll wish you hadn't when you're pissing blood for two weeks.
Though I'd rather not try and get into that now. I'd rather drop it before things go to hell in a bucket.
And why is Hesse so hard to translate at this time of night? I've read the book twenty times at least, you'd think I'd know the famous lines by now...
Nevermind... I'm shutting up for the night before my head and temper both quit on me. G'nite.
Damned translations..... I'm going to kill that wench of a teacher.
You know something? She's really insane. I may be crazy, but she's insane.
Get this: She believes, that after speeding in a school zone (65 in a 15 mphzone) and multiple offenses, that she should get off of a ticket just by batting her eyes. Ugh...
I'd better shut up now. I'm losing it. Nite.

question, if you want to drop it so bad, why must you cram in the last word right before you say you're going to end the convorsation? kinda defeats the purpose of dropping it.
