I'm doing art trades with people with Lilo & Stitch OC's right now. This way I can make friends in the L&S community and get good at drawing it's art style at the same time.
I must have picked a bad forum to join, because the OC's are almost as bad as the artists.
Calling it an "art trade" is an act of kindness, since I'll be drawing art of my quality (I don't think it's good, but that's because I drew it) and receiving bad MS paint screenshot recolors in return. I don't really care about that, though, because I just really want some art of my new OC and I want them to like me.
The lack of creativity some of these people have is astounding.
For example, I made a Copy/paste form for people to fill out when they want me to draw them a picture. Simple things, like a description of the character's body, the kind of pose they would want, some likes and dislikes...
No one used it yet.
The first person to ask just gave me a recolored screen shot and that was it.
I asked her if she could go more into detail. You know, I can't blame a person for being a bad artist, so she may have wanted to make the OC look different than the Canon character, but lacked the skill. So I asked if she wanted me to make any of the body parts different (antenae, ear shape, fur pattern...)
She told me to make it look like MY OC.
Wuh.
I just hope I get some complements on my finished work and get some art in return...
