Kinetic Dream So I went down to check the announcements forum, and read up on the Otakon thread and some how misread that they would be selling videos. First thought: Why is Lanzer selling his collection? Following thought: Why didn't anyone tell me we were having a Gaia casting cattle call!? gonk crying Teh Kin is coming to Otakon? If so, we (Morbid, dotteh, and I [and maybe Shadowix]) will have to track you down.
Lanzer talked about a Gaia meet-up during last year's unofficial Gaian gathering...

3.14 Tsukasa Elric 3.14 Mitsuwa is quite possibly the greatest place in the world. I bought a Japanese toothbrush. cool Is it different to an American toothbrush? Like, is it more high-tech and all that jazz? Does it shoot water in your mouth when you''ve finished? Is it magical? Can it grant wishes? Orrrr, is it just an ordinary toothbrush? It has black bristles, and crazy ducks all over it. But there was like, some kooky Japanese festival going on. I got a pikachu mask, and shaved ice. And some coconut pocky. I also learned that I do not like Saki. It''s strong, and tastes like grass. *sake. ^^; I really like sake.. a whole lot. Some friend of the family bought us soem amazing sake and it was so tastey crying

Lanzer talked about a Gaia meet-up during last year's unofficial Gaian gathering...I've considered it, but looking at the times and expenses needed back home, I don't think it's likely at all. Damnit... I'm just going to have to take a year off sometime, do some cheap a** jobs, and drift around the country to different AG cons, just so I don't feel bad about never going to one.

Little Indigo Streamjumper Little Indigo Wow.. that really sucks. People leaving stuff in the middle of the road are jerks, and people who don't strap items down to their car are idiots.
I love how one time my mom and I narrowly avoided a couch from smashing into the front end of our car because the person strapped the IKEA couch onto the back of their pickup, but didn't close the door, nor actually locked the couch in place. What a waste of a good couch. As the proud owner and driver of a pickup truck, I've gotta say that that person is a moron for not strapping something down right if they're going to leave their tailgate down. I mean, sometimes you've gotta leave the gate down due to the size of your load, but make sure it is roped or bunjied down right. ********, if you caqn't manage a full restraint with those things on your own, there are ******** cargo nets you can put in the end of your bed to keep s**t from falling out. If you can't even manage that, most stores will send their people out to help you tie your s**t ******** idiots.... the bane of humanity. It wasn't even that big of a couch, so I don't understand why the idiot forgot to close the tailgate.Things don't need to be all that long to prevent you from closing the tailgate. If it comes within three inches or so of the actual end of the bed it can prevent the gate from closing all the way. Beds average between 6 and 7 feet on an average full-sized truck and couches easily reach 8 or 9 feet in length when you take the outside dimensions. I don't think they forgot to close the tailgate, I'm gonna guess the couch was just too long. But leaving it improperly restrained is worse than leaving the gate open anyways. It implies that you knew you couldn't close the gate and then failed to restrain it... that's like the difference between shooting yourself in the foot when not knowing much about guns and shooting yourself in the foot after being warned that you could hurt yourself.

I'm afraid of accidents, my car dying in the road, other people, poor little skunks that get hit by cars.... T_______T Don't let it scare you. I have driven nearly every day since I turned 16, and have only gotten in one accident myself. Many people never get into an accident. Some people never even get a flat tire. When you do something constantly and only occasionally does something go wrong, it shows that the activity is actually pretty safe. And a little bit of fear will help you be a better driver, as it will help you remember that you are doing something that CAN be dangerous if you halfass it. It isn't very hard to drive safely, but it is easy to drive poorly.
