"Grunts? I can do this." Nick smiled, reaching for his Poke Balls. "Come on out, Hobbes and Ecto!" he summoned his Galvantula and Dusclops, watching them prepare for battle.

Two Watchogs stood before them ready to battle. "Hobbes, use Electro Web! Ecto, use Dark Pulse!" Nick ordered.

The Grunts ordered his Watchogs to focus on Hobbes, blasting Super Fang and Confuse Ray. Despite the opponent's considerable speed, Hobbes still struck first. The electric webbing coated both enemies, slowing them down.Shortly afterwards Hobbes found himself at half his stamina and confused.

Ecto focused for a second before unleashing a wave of negative energy upon one of the Watchogs. The nimble creature fainted, for the attack was a critical hit. "Good job!" Nick cheered his team on.

"Hobbes use Electroweb one more time! And Ecto, you use Round!" Nick ordered.

The Galvantula stumbled around for a bit before biting its own leg and taking damage. Before it could compose itself, Ecto was busy shaking off a vicious Crunch attack. Once it had gotten the accursed Lookout Pokemon off its arm, the ghost type responded by yelling profoundly with Round.

"Alright, hopefully things can go better this round. Hobbes Electroweb please! Ecto, Dark Pulse!" Nick bit his lip.

Hobbes snapped back into reality and spat another electric webbing coat on the Watchog. Due to its speed being cut to one fourth of the maximum, Ecto got the drop on the Normal Type with a Dark Pulse, knocking it out.

The Grunts cursed at Nick and fled. "That was lame." he commented before climbing the stairs.

Christian sent out Hooty, his Hoothoot, and Ducky, his Ducklett. The two grunts that approached him sent out a Drillbur and Scraggy.

Drillbur started the battle with a Metal Claw towards Hoothoot. Ducklett made the next move with a Bubblebeam. Bubbles attacked both opposing Pokemon. Drillbur suffered heavy damage from the attack, while Scraggy remained a bit neutral. Hoothoot then attacked with a Hypnosis towards Scraggy. Scraggy was unable to attack due to sleep.

Drillbur then used the move Protect. This caused Ducklett's Bubblebeam to only affect the sleeping Scraggy. Hoothoot then used Dream Eater on Scraggy, restoring it's own health and defeated Scraggy.

Drillbur then used Rock Slide, causing rocks to slide upon Christian's team. Both his Pokemon suffered heavy damage from this attack. Ducklett then used Water Pulse. A ring of water attacked Drillbur, causing it to faint.

Christian returned both his Pokemon while the two grunts looked ashamed.

At long last, Tommy and Swampert spotted Unova at a distance. "Yes!" Tommy yelled at the top of his lungs. "Mach speed!" Holding on for dear life, Tommy grinned giddily as Swampert plowed through the water, clearing the distance within five minutes. They were soon at the Driftveil Drawbridge. "Alright, straight ahead. Look for a second bridge, and we'll be done when we land.
"Aye aye, cap'n."

The two sped along at a decent speed toward the next bridge. They soon made it there, and made thier way on to the ground next to the water. Tommy patted Rugaji on the head, and began to make his way towards Iccirus, and then soon after the Dragonspiral Tower. As Tommy made his way to the city, it began drizzling, and then raining hard, the wind picking up to a raging howl, the clouds darkening to a dark gray, lightning flashing. The darkened clouds swirled around an obscurred Dragonspiral Tower.

Meanwhile, the two hidden grunts brawled with each other, making a small bit of noise near the staircase. As footsteps approached them, they quieted down to avoid suspicion. Seeing their teammates had fallen, they remained hidden to not lose a battle.

Rex followed after Maddy. "What now?" He asked. He recalled his two Pokemon.

As they entered the room, there was a loud clap of thunder and the tower shook violently. Maddy looked around the room they were in. There were some fallen pillars all around them, forming a mini maze.
"Hmmm... Proceed through here cautiously. If the tower shakes again you don't want one of the pillars to roll over on you."
As she finished speaking, some grunts began to pile in across the room.
"Ugh, once you get through, fight another grunt each with 2-3 Pokemon!" With that, Maddy glowed with a demonic light and her wings appeared. With that, she jumped and began to glide over pillars.

Rex groaned. "Ok Grunt, lets go." Rex sent out Joltik and Treecko. The grunt sent out twin Patrat.

Rex smiled as the grunt ran off, his tail between his legs.

A loud thunderclap echoed tremendously, for a second stunning Tommy. He began to run, now, to make it quicker to the tower. If he would bump into anybody, Tommy shouldn't wonder, a quick hello and a just-as-quick battle would need to occur for him to catch up with his teammates. At this point, the trainer wasn't sure what would happen next. Tommy stopped running, first panting, then looking up, up, up... and falling over, onto his butt from leaning backwards to far to see the top. " Wh--... Whoa. Dragonspiral... Tower." Tommy made his way into the tower, surfing quickly over the short gap of water seperating him from the entrance. Gulping, he entered.

Having seen the group of Aquans, and now another trainer, devestate their team, the two grunts waited for said trainer to pass before letting out grunts of frustration. At that point, Tommy had made it to the stairs. The two, thinking he was a random traveler in their fit of anger, jumped out and lunged at Tommy. Tommy, being highly reflexive, moved left quickly, then jumped back a few yards, skidding to a halt. The two grunts, angry that they had missed, charged at Tommy again. "Daikenki, Gill! Water Gun, Charge Beam!" The attacks hit the grunts, causing one to fall to the floor in pain, while the other was blasted backwards. Both grunts called out their pokemon in pained voice, revealing a Purrloin and a Watchog.

Watchog, being fastest, lunged at Daikenki with a Super Fang, quickly knocking away half of the Oshawott's stamina. On top of that, the Purrloin jumped and Slashed wildly at Daikenki, dealing almost enough damage to knock out the poor water type. However, Tommy's almost felled pokemon reared up landed a strong Razor Shell attack. What with STAB and Torrent, as well as a lucky Critical, the attack was just enough to knock out the Purrloin. Tynamo paralyzed Watchog with a Thunder Wave.

Now both quicker, Daikenki unleashed another Razor Shell, scoring a lot of damage. Gill the Tynamo a charged the looker with a Spark, doing some damage as well. However, also still up and fighting like Daikenki had, the Watchog used a Crunch to finish off the small otter. Gill used a Charge Beam to end the battle.

Tommy ran over to both grunts, effectively knocking them both out with a well aimed punch to the face, and ran up the staircase to catch up with his teammates, at last.

As Christian went through the maze with caution, a pillar started rolling towards him. It was a large pillar, so he didn't stand much of a chance running from it. Then, he had a brilliant idea. He sent out Mind, his Kirlia, and told it to use Teleport to get by the pillars. Mind, not being the best Teleporter, caused Christian to be Teleported all over the room. First he ended up on top of a rolling pillar, then the entrance to the room, and once he got a glimpse of a bustling city. Eventually, they got to where they need to be.

Then, a grunt spotted him and took out a Pokeball. Christian took out a Pokeball himself and battle commenced
