*Teleports in with Xatu* "Hio... what's going on tonight?" I inquire on seeing the buzz of activity.

"May as well," Shaydas shrugged. He noticed the other Aquan enter. "Hey, Thard," the Lucario waved. "We're doing something with the base defenses or something with Ginji."

"We're descending into the core of HQ to strengthen the barriers. I'm assuming that Archie will attack sooner or later, and if he does, I want this place to remain a safe haven." Ginji explained as he opened up the maintenance door and descended some stairs, Porygon following close behind on his heels.

Rex stored his Port-a-bubble, seeing as they wouldn't need it. He also recalled Crawdaunt. Rex followed Ginji down the stairs, but Joltik still begged for attention from Shaydas.

"Hm, sounds like fun. Plus it's a chance to learn more about this base we inherited." I recall Xatu (since I don't know how much room we'll have in the depths of HQ) and descend the stairs after Ginji.

"I swear this place changes every time I come down here. Last week it was a room full of chamber pots, the week before that gold was all over the floor. This week it's like bank security down up in here." Ginji complained as he stood in front of a giant door, latched and sealed tightly. Blue flames erupted along the walls, illuminating the room.
"I solemnly swear I am up to no good." The teen says while approaching the door, half expecting it to open on command. "Uh...that's the password right?" he looked down at Porygon who just beeped. "What do you mean you reset it?" he sounded a tad angry, because he knew what that meant.
"Are you guys ready for life or death riddles?" he asked, "Because too bad if you aren't, because here they come..." as a screen dropped down from the ceiling and started to scramble block letters on the transparent screen.

"Eh...." Rex rubbed his head. "There's only one person I know who's good with riddles." Quilava ran down the steps, wondering if he was referring to her. "No not you." He recalled the Quilava. "C'mon out Crawdaunt." Rex sent out the Crawdaunt behind him. "Even though he acts dumb he can figure it out."

Catching up with Rex and Ginji, I gaze around at the interesting decor. "I'm not sure torches are such a good idea. Even though we have a good ventilation system, they still use up oxygen. The smoke output probably doesn't help matters either."

Shaydas held up a paw that blazed with bright Aura. "There's the solution to your light problem," he said, seeing Thard's point.

Ginji read the screen in delight. "Good, three riddles. Shouldn't be too hard."
"1. I like the darkness, don't mistake me for a ghost, I like money if you see, me in the light. "
"2. We always travel in a cluster, Psychic power is what we muster. When we touch a Leaf Stone, folks get a real laugh, For when we evolve, the number of our heads get divided in half!"
"3. Tackle, Stun Spore, and Mega Drain, Are some of the moves I plant in my brain. My evolution can pack a real punch, And has poisonous spores on its tail in a bunch."
"O_o What? Who decided the password reset would be this ridiculous?!" Ginji said as Porygon flashed an LED arrow in his direction.

I mull the riddles over for a minute. "Hey," I whisper to Ginji, "Not sure about the first one, but the others must refer to Exeggcute and Shroomish. Think the first one's another Grass-type?"

I whisper back to Thard. "I don't know any grass types that thrive in darkness though... even Gloom and Vileplume have Chlorophyll as an ability."

"So it's not a ghost. Or a Grass-type," I whisper to the Aquans as we huddle around. "It likes darkness which suggests a cave, or ocean depths, or perhaps it's nocturnal."

The screen flashes with one red X on the first riddle and two green check marks on the second and third. "So, I guess we have two more chances..." Ginji thought while flipping through the pages in his spellbook, trying to find lore of money related Pokemon.
