cardi: There's no guild thread (that I know of...) but we've been chatting in Bridge's minishop hangout thread, here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19046839Thanks to the superabundance of cows today, I've finished getting all four event items, but I'm a little saddened by the trick-or-treating. It seems the artists did not have time or did not care to optimize the Halloween-dressed shop NPCs so that their transparent backgrounds show up properly in IE. So the costumes look spectacular, but thanks to a big gray square, I can't see the spooky backgrounds. I suppose Firefox has gotten big enough that IE is not the norm anymore? At any rate, I still loved this year's event. Best ever. Hands down. 3nodding

Kimini: That grey square comes along when there's an alpha layer of transparency in 24-bit PNG files. Internet Explorer seems to be one of the only browsers that incorrectly display this as a grey blob instead of transparency like it's supposed to. Internet Explorer also slightly modifies colors that are used on fonts and objects that are applied via CSS. While the hex code does not change, the color looks a little off from what it should. Despite all of the quirks and downfalls of Internet Explorer, it still holds an above-the-water rating of about 86% of people using it, since the high majority of computer users are either uneducated or simply don't care. Firefox has been moving up the scale and taking users away from IE enough that it has about a 12% userbase. It's climbing steadily. :3
My favorite event was still the 2004 one. xD I so pwned everybody at that thing.

My excuse is that I'm on a Mac and IE for Mac sucks. Thus, I use firefox.
I hope this event ends with a bang. I got bored of it after day 1.

LadyD won the bonus points! =D
I love the whole cow-tipping thing. xD I think it's the best Halloween idea so far. And I love Sasha's costume, though I can't tell if it's Sadako or the woman from Ju-on (The Grudge).
and zomg I got my hair cut super short today. /random

Web/graphics major, remember? xd I just didn't want to go into the tech babble. I was just disappointed that they couldn't make them gifs instead of pngs so they would function in IE. I don't have Firefox (or like it much, for that matter).

Yay, got the event items, I still need the T-o-T items. First I need to head off and take care of the little one.

I can't look at "T-o-T" without thinking of it as an emote of some sort. *laugh*

Darn you Miri, you're gonna make me go against all my principles and make a DA account to get past that darn filter, aren't you?
Alex: Newp, Kimi has 5/6ths of a 2-year degree in Web Multimedia Authoring. Scary, isn't it? I may not be the genius you are, but I do know some stuff. wink
