Kairi managed to smile back at Reno for a moment. She was relieved that he could forgive her for what she had done, though she was still nervous about having told him her feelings. Renata prodded Kairi's face with one paw to get the girl's attention, wanting to be let go so that she could return to playing with Tsuki. Kairi knew precisely what it was the female Nidoran wanted, releasing her from the hold she had had on her. Having one hand free now, Kairi pulled out Zeke's pokeball, returning him to it, and clipped it back to her belt. With both arms now empty, Kairi wrapped her arms around Reno, hugging him tightly. Oh how she had wanted to do that for so long, only now being able to bring herself to do it. "So, Reno... Where does this leave us now?" she tried to speak as calmly as possible, her face flushing red as she spoke.

Kairi felt comfortable resting in Reno's arms, but at his answer to her question, she felt she had to back up slightly so that she could look at him, still hugging him. The blush deepened in color, and she had to think for a moment before answering. "I... I think that would be nice..." she mumbled, burying her face back into Reno's chest in an attempt to hide her heating face. Although she had already stated her feelings towards him, she was still embarrassed about blushing so much. Her heartbeat seemed to quicken and she breathed in deeply to try and calm herself back down.

Renata went to look for her friend, and saw her as she entered the kitchen. Wanting to return to playing, she snuck up behind Tsuki, leaping at her back and from there climbing up onto her head. "Nii!" she called down from her position, smiling at the Sneasel happily.

Kairi thought for a moment, not quite sure how to answer Reno's question. She breathed in deeply and sighed. "I don't know Reno..." she mumbled, her voice barely audible. Right now she just wanted to be held, it had been so long since she had been this close to him, and even then, she had never truly been this close to him. Never in her life could she have imagined that she could be as happy as she was right now. She couldn't help but smile. For the girl who rarely smiled, she sure seemed to be smiling a lot today.

Renata squeaked in shock at being poked, but instead of jumping away, she continued to sit on her friends head, dangling one paw in front of Tsuki's face.

Kairi continued to smile, enjoying be in Reno's arms. At least, that's how it was until she heard what he said and asked. Her smile quickly turning into a scowl. "What, you think I can't handle myself? I do have my own Pokemon you know," her voice was uneasy, but still icy. She glared at him for a moment before she realized that she hadn't really answered his question. "So that's a no. I don't want any of your Pokemon," she finally finished, pouting at him for a moment before turning her head to look away from him. "I am actually capable of taking care of myself now you know..." she muttered under her breath.

Renata squeaked again as her paw was suddenly licked. Instead of staying on the Sneasel's head, she jumped down, landing in front of her, and stared up at the weasel-like pokemon.

Kairi sighed, one hand coming up to her face and rubbing her temples gently. "You're not the only one who worries, Reno... And besides, I've been taking care of myself for the past couple of years now, I can deal with things on my own. I don't need you trying to protect me all the time..." her voice trailed off, and she moved her hand back down. Her eye wandered back to looking at Reno's face. She wanted to show Reno that she wasn't really mad at him, but she wasn't sure how. She just stared at Reno for a moment while she thought, and that's when she realized it. Her arms reached up, wrapping behind Reno's neck, pulling him closer to Kairi. And ever so carefully, she kissed him on the lips.

Renata smiled, and after being poked in the forehead, she immediately went running after the Sneasel. Trying to keep up as best as her short legs would allow her to.

Team Snagem's HQ was decorated from floor to ceiling with various streamers, balloons, and signs saying 'Happy Anniversary Team Snagem'. There was confetti of various colors littering the floor and tables, and balloons rolling around in the confetti. There were more tables set up than normal, each one cluttered with food, drinks, and other various items one might find at a party. In the center of the room there was an ice sculpture of Team Snagem's logo, a fist clutching a Pokeball, and coming out of the pokeball's button was a stream of red liquid, which collected in the bowl that the sculpture sat in, it was fruit punch apparently.

And what party would be complete without a cake? There was also a massive cake next to the sculpture, also designed like the team's symbol, with each "'finger' being a different flavor of cake, along with other various pieces of the symbol. And of course there was many flavors of ice cream set up next to it.

Sub could be found wandering around the main area of the HQ, setting up all this for the team's anniversary party, he had even put on his old tux for the occasion! Normally he only wore it when he was out making trouble under the disguise of 'Mister Masquerade', but today was different, today was a special day to honor the team and its members. "Ah! I just love parties!" Sub declared as he stood back and admired all his work, sure, it was a little over the top, and probably cost a pretty penny, but he thought it was worth it all.

Tsuki walked in from the HQ entrance with a Magmortar. Maggy! He walked over and took a cup, quickly putting it in the path of streaming punch from the ice sculpture. A little got on him but he swiftly removed it. Taking a sip he passed a cup to his fire type. Charky joined in, walking around.

"Nicely done." Tsuki said to nobody in particular.

"Alrighty then. So anything else interesting planned out fer this?" Reno questioned, debating internally if he should see what he could make. Never know when he could find the supplies for fireworks.
