I actually thought of a better idea. Gonna post it here since I think the public needs to be in on this one.

Here goes.

First things first, Im not sure how I want to do it in the sense of. Should it just be "If you are a medic you can make the check." Or "If you have X perk you can attempt it" So for the sake of this example know that they can be used interchangeably.

If a player dies he goes to the after life thread, This is not an RP thread, this is simply a thread that will keep record of when people die.

Now that the player has died he/she has 1 out of game week to be revived before his soul is completely gone.

The check to revive the player will be based on how many times they have died x100. This check will be done with a healing jutsu. So maybe statx2 + Jutsu Level + buffs vs number of deaths x100. For every medic that is assisting the process you receive a +50 to the check. Note: Basically one person would need to actually be using the jutsu to make the check, and the others would simply be assisting the first persons check.

If successful the player is revived at critical 7 (which is the crit that they fall unconscious if I am not mistaken). If they fail, then the player is simply dead.

In addition, we can add in a village building "Hospital" Depending on the level of the hospital building upgrade rprically the doctors will be more skilled at revival. This will be reflected as such.

Level 1 Hospital has a revival PC of 100.
Level 2 Hospital has a revival PC of 200 etc.

These numbers can be changed of course, and of course the building would cost village ryo and would be up to a player kage to purchase.

So, if the player has died a great number of times, or you simply can not do better than your village doctors can. You can attempt to grab there body and flee to allow your village doctors to attempt it.

As the hospital is upgraded you will be revived in better stats. At its base level you revive at critical 7, however at better levels you might revive with half stats, or even full stats. Note: The hospital can still fail as you would still make the roll, it is not an automatic success. It simply means you are using the hospitals base PC instead of making the attempt yourself. There is no way to increase the hospitals PC other than having a kage upgrade the hospital.



I also have some things in mind for destroying village buildings etc but that is a discussion for the mod forum.

In addition to my idea. I think that it would work this way because it makes perm deaths Possible, but not so common that your basically running around scared to fight, I also think that it would bring in a since of urgency when someone you care about dies. If your team mate dies, then you would be less inclined to keep fighting, or go about your buisness, especially knowing that there is NOTHING they can do for themselves. They have to have a team that can save them. This would also bring in a since of realism in that being super strong, but not having any allies or friends, is a drawback because if you die, there is nothing you can do to save yourself.

Simple, if you are a Missing nin, then you can not use a hospital unless a player kage gives you permission to use theirs.

Thats true, but not exactly what I meant. It is more so, those who die without revival are dead.

Just because you have a village hospital does not mean you cant die. Someone has to get you there.

And yes, if both me and Sai did die at the same time. That would suck really badly.

In the event this does pass before my week is up... I might as well just change my name and such...

Actually, If my team were to kill them both, we would bring them back for some bandaids.

Wouldn't want to lose our village's demons to run away to the afterlife, would we ;D

I actually really like that Ele. Let's start hammering out some solid numbers in chart form in the Mod sub-forum (so it's easier to keep track of).
Also limiting revivals to one attempt per day obviously would be necessary. The afterlife thread could be like the players sub-concious, where it's just their dying brain ratteling off whatever thoughts they might have (such as seeing family or loved ones that have passed, perhaps talking to great nin, but really it's all in their imagination).

This way you can technically refer to death as "maybe" dead, like their bodies still have some chakra and a great amount of healing might be able to bring them back.

@Aizen:
No ones remaking a character, so far the idea that you simply change your name / background still applies. Stats jutsu/etc are all remaining the same unless perma death becomes a character reset (given by reset I just mean stat re-distribution and Jutsu re-making of option, not a level reset).

That's just really going to depend. I just don't see it as wholly realistic to request mods to do a level 100+ characters check all at one time.
