Nari just sighed as Sabe left the table. She propped her elbow on the table, her chin resting on her hand, and listened to Waffle. "Oh? What exactly do you mean by 'toying around with him'?"

"Oh, I like playing a few good mind games with him," Waffle said, smiling more as she thought about it in detail, "By the time I'm trying to sleep, he either attaches himself to me like chewing gum to hair or he rocks himself to sleep. Doesn't matter if he's crying, lonely, wanting 'something', bored or just cold by then. Just seeing him like that... it's adorable. I've never seen or heard him complain about anything, either."
Waffle paused for a bit, then realized something. "...that sounded terrible, didn't it?" she asked, a little ashamed, "I'm not being outright mean to him; I'm really just playing with him. He knows that, but he just gets touchy sometimes."

Pen listen intently to Waffle and Nari talk and as she did a smile began to grow across her face. She started to chuckle a little and sipped at her drink as Waffle went on. Once Waffle finished however Pen spoke in a very kind tone and with a sincere smile.
"You guys will be fine. Your perfect for each other."

"Thanks, Pen, but I have a feeling he's going to try to act out for attention and stir something up sooner or later," Waffle said, picking up her glass of tea. She sipped it and didn't like the now watered-down flavor of it, and reached for several more sugar cubes. "He's been getting plain whiny and needy for the past couple of days."
Waffle waited a bit before the metaphorical light bulb lit up. Suggestions! "Anybody know what I should do about it?" she asked, hoping for some amusing responses. Knowing her friends, she thought they almost never failed to do just that.

"How about tackling him to the ground and tell him to grow up. Touchy or not he needs to seriously lighten up." Pen took her last sip from the glass and then leaned slightly back in her chair. With a sigh she gave the question a little more thought.
"I'm not sure but maybe laying off the shock therapy would be good too."

Aly raised a well sculpted eyebrow and smirked as she straighten a little in her chair. She brushed a few strains of hair away from her face as she said, "Well...Science. I'm rather good at that. Healing, and that sort of stuff. Sadly, the list is longer when you ask what I'm not good at."

The conversation went on a bit while longer exchanging thoughts and laughs. The reception rituals went on, the toast, the speeches and of course the Newly wed's first dance. With a tired smile Pen watched as her two friends dance for the first time as husband and wife.
With the announcement of the opening of the dance floor the table became bare once again. A kind of giddy excitement that they could cut lose for once and do something a little more active fell over the gang. As the others went ahead to have a great time, Pen waved them off; glued to her seat. She watched and smiled as the others enjoyed themselves not wanting to upset the fun only dancing when they proved to be more determined than she could handle. Otherwise Pen gave lame reasons for not joining in, "I'm feeling a little tipsy," "oh I'll join you later", "I have two left feet," "go on without me, have fun." Though aware that she was with friends something nawed at her about dancing without a partner. Usually this was not something to stop her but she felt very melancholy all of a sudden. Not wanting to spread it to the others she sat and laughed as the rest of them danced.
It soon came to the last dance and Pen began to collect herself, only having two drinks all night; not really affected by alcohol. It had been a long night and Pen had enjoyed herself. A day of friends and good cheer was something she needed but her night wasn't going to end so soon. Turning around she bumped into someone thus causing him to stagger backwards catching himself.
"I'm sorry," Pen finished her turn to face the man waiting for a reply. The man stood straight again looking nothing happened. Now with both them staring at each other the figure broke the silence and gestured with his hand to the dance floor. Dressed in a black suit with his face hid in shadow by the brim of the matching fedora, all that she could make out of his face was the short blond hair that framed it. It took a moment to realize that he was asking to dance. Pen looked away some what embarrassed but the silent man didn't take this as a no and offered his arm.
Long after Pen could never explain what exactly made her follow this mysterious figure to the very thing she was avoiding but she did that very thing. Reaching the floor Pen found herself lost in thought in the arms in a warm familiar feeling.
(Thus the prolouge. Post fast for I will get us back to HQ in the next post. I don't want to take away from you guys a chance to post.)

Luciano was standing in a secluded area with Michelle, talking about Luciano's latest discovery; The letter Skotti left him. Michelle was in total shock about it, and very devastated, "Luciano, WHY can't we go look for them? What if Skotti's dead in a ditch somewhere? Or worse! DIVORCED!" "Because, I was told not to search for any of them. And knowing Skotti, things are more than alright. . Don't breathe a word of this to the group; I'll sit everyone down later and tell them about it. Ok?" Michelle let out a heavy sigh and said 'Fine' and Luciano kissed her on the forehead, "Don't worry about it. Everything will be fine. . trust me."

KD was tired... the last dance was happening now, and it was the only one she wasn't dancing. She leaned against the wall while other couples danced slowly. She heard someone yawn next to her, looking over there was a waiter leaning against the wall next to her. She gave him a small smile. He gave her a small wink. They continued to watch the dancers in silence until it was time for her to join up with the others and head home. She didn't give him another glance.

As the song went on other couples began to retire, leaving Pen and her partner to continue. It was very clear that neither of them noticed or actually cared that they were being left for they didn't show any signs of stopping. The two danced to what seemed to be forever all the while slowly pulling each other closer leaving minimal space between them.
Though the others were ready to go, Pen didn't want the song to end. It was very perplexing to her even now that she couldn't pin point why she felt comfortable in this mysterious man's grip. Only a few minutes ago she was dead set staying off the dance floor as much as possible and now she didn't want to leave. Stranger still was the fact that she didn't want to let go even more.
Getting closer Pen was able to peer under the brim of the hat to find the face hidden in the shadow. What she found though was a pair of clear blue eyes that bore into her. Locked into those eyes Pen didn't see anything else. His features though close were all still hidden to her as she did not look away from those eyes. By the time she realized they were more of swaying in place then actually dancing the music had stopped. She quickly looked away realizing that she had been starring this entire time; a small case of blush ran on her face.
After a moment Pen began to let go of the man feeling rather embarrassed that she really did forget herself for a moment. Even though this wasn't a mission that was highly dangerous for her to forget what she is doing. It wasn't like her to lose focus like that. The man however only tightened his grip a little. Pulling her in close again, he leaned in and whispered in her ear. All of a sudden Pen relaxed again and turned a brighter shade of red as she face him again. Slowly raising his head, he paused looking into her eyes again. Before she knew it their lips rested on each other and held there for a few good seconds.
Pen, who eyes had been closed for the remainder of the kiss, opened them immediately. It was all too clear now who this guy was and pulling away she gave him a strong knee into his diaphragm. Falling to the ground, the man held his stomach letting his fedora fall to the ground revealing a pair of short, rounded ears.
"That was not funny", the human male looked up, twinging in pain and with a look of innocence, to the now angered elven woman.
"How did you get here anyway," Pen stood her fists clenched at her sides and sounded like she was about to blow. Looking down at the hat she saw hidden in its ribbon were a very familiar pair of glasses.
"Jade."
(Alright we begin. We can either go home or do a little action where we are. Either way the introduction of Jade is complete and we can move to the main plot.)

Nari decided to go find a restroom as the party winded down. As she passed through, she saw Pen standing beside a man on the ground. 'Hm, what's this? Pen doesn't look too happy...' "Hey, you okay?" Nari raised an eyebrow and asked when she walked over to Pen.

( I'm having my characters stay because they are not involved in your plot, because like I said much earlier I'll be busy setting up the bits and pieces that add up to the arc after yours. I'm also going to throw some things in that I forgot to put in here. )
Waffle had gotten bored of stepping on Sabe's toes as much as he'd gotten tired of being stepped on, so they both slipped away from the scene as it started to settle down. They bumped into one gentleman (in status only) with jet black hair and a smug face that made Norman look humble. However, the insignia on his coat made it obvious this guy was an ambassador from another country. It might not have been the country's strongest choice to send this fellow out for diplomatic trips, though.
"This wing of the castle is off-limits to guests. What are you doing here?" Waffle asked. The other guy told her that it was 'not any kitchen-dweller's business' and walked up to Sabe instead. Waffle twitched a little and was pondering whether or not she should kill him. "He's calling me a KITCHEN DWELLER?!" she blurted. Sabe looked back at her and said calmly, "Just leave and go to our room. I'll be there in a bit."
Waffle lingered there for a while, glaring at Sabe, but eventually retreated.

"Never mind." Pen turned away and started to head for the exit, "lets just go home." Trying to act like nothing happen she kept her fists clenched and walked very stiffly.
"Yea lets." Jade had gotten up and still breathing a little funny followed behind Pen. "I have to talk to the boss anyway to see which room I'll be staying in."
Pen kept her mouth shut when she heard that, hoping that it all become some sort of dream once they got home.
However once everyone was back it was no such dream.

(lol, only one post and I like how the new character's being played.)
When Waffle got into her room, she saw that same black and white puffy doll dress lying on the bed. She groaned. What part of 'I hate that dress' does he not get? She picked up the dress from the bed and stuffed it in the closet.
At just about that time Sabe came in, looking slightly puzzled "So what was that jerk wanting to talk to you for?" Waffle asked, not turning around. "He said that he wanted to talk to me tomorrow morning in the courtyard. He said he had a gift for me, but didn't get the chance to bring it with him." "Like what? A bomb in a box?" "Waffle..." "What?" she asked back, turning around this time. Sabe paused. "...nothing." Someone else was calling out Waffle's name. "Actually, I guess someone wants to talk to you," Sabe said, looking at the door, "It's likely my parents, because they've never talked to you before." "...fine," Waffle said as she walked out of the room.
Sabe was left to himself, and wondered what Colbur told him in the morning was actually true. He carefully checked each drawer, closet shelf, nook and cranny for something, getting nervous as he didn't find anything to the contrary. He did find the dress he set on the bed inside the closet and he sighed, but when he was done he didn't find what he was looking for and settled for waiting for his new wife to come back in. Colbur must be serious when he says he wants grandkids.
When she came back, Sabe dead-bolted the door, checked if the curtains were shut or not, and reluctantly went to bed with her.
