...alien hunting? o_O; What did I miss while I was in Florida?
*pounces upon her Padawan and cheekrubs* heart I'm going to need references and input from you for the art contest before November, heartling~ I managed to get grand prizes lined up so I'm basically ready to go. X3

Space ships (controled by development staff, apparently) are showing up in towns. The fountains in 1000, 1019, and 1919 are prime alien viewing spots, though you have to wait a long time for them to show up.
They sometimes ask you questions and answer your own, and sometimes scan you with beams. They like triangles.
The aliens also post in forums, PM people, and add people as friends.
I'm waiting in 1019 right now. It's getting laggy from a small crowd.

*laugh* That sounds like so much fun. XD I wonder if there will be any significant user-developer interaction, like when one of the LabTechs actually became the significant other of a user before the zombie infection carried him off.

They already have.
The aliens became triangle obsessed after seeing some towns people accidently sitting in a triangle formation, and now people are becomming triangle nazis and demanding that all towns people sit in perfect triangles to satisfy the aliens. I keep getting yelled at for not sitting on the right pixel.
The aliens have also gotten involved in the user-run "19" theroy.
It seems that Gaians are really shaping this event, and the mods are playing along with us.

I always seem to miss the aliens. Sunny told me there was one in one town and by the time I got there it was gone. crying

Very sorry to hear that, Jenannen. ; ; That must have been rough on you as well.
Miri: The user and the labtech exchanged PMs to each other while the whole storyline was spinning itself out, and then of course the letters just stopped once the labtech went zombie and then later died. The user mourned a bit and I think made a journal entry or GCD thread about it. *hee* It might even be in the Memorable threads forum...not sure.
