Malik wanted a reason to get away from his sister and tagged after Ember. What the others had said about Bakura being a bad influence were somewhat true; away from the yami, he acted differently. More concerned about people, and not nearly as mischievous. "Something the matter?" He asked genuinely, not mockingly like Bakura would have.

Malik wasn't sure what to say. He didn't know what was going on with 'their' group, so he couldn't say if Atem was acting odd or not. "If you're not needed here, where else could you go? Even if Atem's acting differently, it doesn't mean the others don't need you." He offered, shrugging slightly, lowering his eyes. "I know what it's like to feel as though you're not needed, that's for sure."

Malik laughed softly. "On a plane? Lucky you. It's been a little hard for me and my sister to get through security. I mean, I could go into the airport wearing nothing but a thong and they'd still want to search me." bThe Egyptian ran a hand through his hair.
