Habba-what now? eek

Zero's Adventure at X-Games XI

So my dad, brother, his friend, and I all leave around 9am and get to the Staples Center around 10:45am. We walk around for a bit and I sign up for a bronco bull-esque, except it was a surf board and there was a bounce/moon-jump thing in the shape of waves. You had to stay on the board for 40 seconds and you win a skateboard (don't ask). I went on, lasted three seconds because I had no traction due to my socks, the guy offered me another try... And they couldn't get the machine to work, so I "broke a surfboard." xp

So we all head to the Mountain Dew booth and each drink about three of those mini cups of Mountain Dew; after that we had over to the set-up of the only competition for the Staples Center for Sunday, skateboard Big Air. While waiting for the set-up I caught some of Pennywise playing, I had no idea it was them until I heard someone call out their name, pretty good concert. After seeing some of the practice for Big Air and Pennywise concert the competition started. Around this time my brother's friend, Luis, started complaining every three minutes about how he wanted water and was hot, my brother complained about Luis's complaining. I tried ignoring it for a while then finally said something.

So back to the competition, it was ******** great, I am absolutely astonished by how people willing skate down a steep 65-foot ramp and then jump over a 50-foot gap, then down a small hill and up a quarter pipe 20 feet into the air. Seeing Bob Burnquist crash hard was a pain, but we knew he would pull through. Danny Way was the crown pleaser, everyone was cherring for him and when he finally pulled of the Body Varial (I believe that was the trick, can't remember) the crowd went up into an uproar; the crowd only got louder once we saw that he jumped in first because of it. Last set of jumps, we all wanted Bob to hit something big, but due to his fall the round before, he probably wasn't up to speed and ended up falling after going up the quarter pipe. Danny Way also fell after jumping over the 50-foot gap, but he still got gold.

Afterwards we all went around to check some other things out, we each must have had about 25 of those little cups of Mountain Dew; hey, free Mountain Dew. We also checked out Spearhead playing, this was around 1:30pm, my brother and Luis were bitching about the music and how they hated it, so we had to go around 2:20, which kind of irked me because I loved the music that was played, I wanted to see the end of the concert. Before we left the venue we had a bit more Gatorade.

So this year was good, don't think we'll bring my brother and his friend next year because they can't handle being outside... Well, Luis can't and my brother complains about it; my dad and I wondered if they had any fun. This year wasn't as good as the last two (the first being my favorite) but it was still a kick-a** time.

Well, as far as I know, McFarlane drew Venom first, I dont think he wrote them. I dont believe Carnage was in McFarlane's run with Marvel either, but I'm no expert.

One of the kids from class of '07 isn't coming back next year. She was my bowling friend with, like, an insanely high average. Like, higher than mine.

I don't want to work.

I want a couple days off this week and all next week off. So, I guess I'll try for that today! surprised

In other news, I have to wear my Incubus shirt because it sorta covers my neck... sweatdrop
