Miriam The Bat I wouldn't call them pretty... splintered trees everywhere... With out the splintered trees.... just the piles of snow on top of everything.
*shrug* then again I've mostly seen the light fluffy stuff that just stacks really high on trees and stuff.

The list of closings in the area is huge. it keeps listing "State of Emergency" for all of the towns in the area.
It's raining now and melting all the snow, causing flooding. My mom's basement is practically a swimming pool. The melting is even more dangerous, since the trees that were once weighed down are suddenly snaping back upwards when the snow falls off and whiping the downed power lines with them.
My Boyfriend's gonna get on a train to Buffalo in half an hour. Then we'll have to go drive out and get him.

OMG
I have to share this on the topic of babies learning to talk.
My cousin is a bussiness woman and is almost always out jetsetting here and there for work. Her husband tests games and I'd say about 4 years ago now there daugther was like 2 or 3 and just starting to talk.
Now the father played alot of videogames, and fighting games were one of his favorites, the baby is quite often with him alone for long periods.
Long story short, the child's first words were " victory is mine " almost perfectly clearly. Which is quite funny because it's father says that everytime he does something productive in a game.

50,000 words...
50,000 words, and I can't even convince my friends to read some of it even if I offer them free art for doing so.
Gweh...
