Rex walked in. "Hmm, no one around?" He asked himself. He sat down and watched the tv.

Maddy walked in through the teleporter, chewing on what appeared to be a chunk of raw meat.
"Om nom nom."

Shaydas ran through the main room of the HQ fast enough for the wake behind him in the air to be felt on either side of the room. He slid under the coffee table in front of the couch and continued running toward the kitchen, jumping over other Aquans in his path. Ten seconds later, a competitive looking Pikachu dashed out the same hallway and followed the same path as the Lucario.

Rex sat on the couch, watching as Shaydas seemed to have run from a Pikachu. "Damn it Shaydas, you need to start fighting back." Rex threw a Poke Ball, sending out Cyndaquil, who got in the way of the other mouse Pokemon.

Maddy was now situated on the ceiling, gnawing on a bone.
"Hey, guys." She greeted.

A couple of Aquans were putting what appeared to be a finish line across the width of the common room. Dusk randomly walked in eating an ice cream cone. She clambered onto the couch to watch the finish line. Another Aquan leaned against the back of the couch to watch as well.

"Is he racing?" Rex wondered. Cyndaquil was doing his best to chase after Pikachu.

Maddy shrugged.
"No clue, to be honest. I'd like to think so. Pikachu's aren't much to run from."

Pikachu came barreling into the common room with Shaydas right at its heels. It was a close finish as both crossed the line at almost the exact same time. Pikachu jumped onto its Trainer's shoulder and celebrated its victory. Shaydas took a second to collect himself. After catching his breath, he put some cash in the Trainer's hand. "Serves me right for betting against Pikachu on a race," he smiled breathlessly. As the other Aquans cleared out, Shaydas flopped down heavily on the couch. Dusk, not taking all of her attention away from her ice cream, patted the Lucario on the head in consolation.

"I thought you were running from an Aquan interested in catching a Lucario." Rex laughed. Cyndaquil ran back towards Rex, Maddy, and Shaydas.

"Nah," Shaydas smiled. "Just a little wager. I bet that I could outrun that guy's Pikachu." He exhaled loudly. "Didn't go as well as I planned. Guess I should work out more. Same with my team." Dusk looked down at Shaydas and coughed a little, then returned to her mostly eaten ice cream cone.

"Could've been worse," Shaydas pointed out. "I could've been racing an Electrode. Now that would have been a disaster waiting to happen. Besides, that Pikachu cheated."

"How'd it cheat?" Rex laughed. "It clearly won easily." Rex began flipping through the channels.

"I don't know. Anything that has Quick Attack and Double Team should be fast enough to outrun most things." Ginji smiled as he walked into the conversation. The teen looked horrible, as if all the meetings and hearings and other stuff was finally starting to take its toll.
