TvIaMsOqTuHeYz I thought that Linking seals were used in an array, and you'd have to make long distance linking seals to create the link. Kinda like a linking seal that shifts into the partial space of a storage seal, but is shared, and allows for the fast rapid transit of chakra. That's how I thought these seals would work. xD Kinda glad to know that the standard link seal would allow for simple use like that though. ^>^ I've been planning to make that change, and it's definitely going to be in the next update since the link seals really shouldn't have remote capability, but for the moment, that's how they work. It's an oversight in the original design that I've just never taken the time to remedy, and also quite convenient for stuff like this. XD On your actual post though, just to make sure you know, Raphael can't actually make a working explosive seal yet. It's a C ranked seal, which he's incapable of learning. Yasashii just wanted him to be able to recognize the structure of it in order to pick out what wasn't supposed to be there. The same applies to all three seals he showed. You don't actually have to edit the post though. Having Raphael think his seal will work is fine, so long as you know it won't. Might even make for an interesting point later where he wonders why it didn't work.

Ah, okay. I thought it would work like that, since that is quite a huge hole in functionality. xD Glad to see you've been meaning to fix it, since it could eventually have lead to the destruction of an entire village. xD
Okay, I thought that seals were able to be learned at any rank. Thanks for clarifying that. ^>^ Wow... It just dawned on me that Rapahel is going to be somewhat useless aside from Nara and Universal ninjutsu. xD There aren't very many good low ranking seals he can learn.
Yeah, I kinda hope that it'll give him the bluffing power he needs, or he get's grabbed by one of the thugs, and tries to blow the thug's face off, and then the thug just kinda laughs. Then gets the crap kicked out of him by Kye, or Martin's character. While Raphael gets the shock he can't even make an explosive seal go off. xD

I've been playing a lot of text games the last few days, cause I like to try some out every once in awhile, and suddenly I thought how fun it might be to recreate POTS as a MUD. (This will never happen.) Thinking on that eventually led me to a scene where some random player is browsing Yasashii's shop, when he stands up, says "I think I'll go for a walk." and leaves the building. The player finds that odd, since it's an NPC and they usually don't wander off, but ignores it as just being added spice to the game. A couple minutes later, there's a worldwide announcement. "'Final Boss' has been defeated by Nomiya Yasashii!"
It'd be hilarious to see the reactions to that.

Text games... Like something that functions like a Sim? Like it is just the images, then they have the text box and that is it?
Also, if I was playing that, I'd quote Taken, the scene where the Frenchman is holding the phone, and the dad gives that one quote. I mean, that would be like the biggest punch to the nads out of anything, even the final boss being a small female and being extremely OP, and one hitting you, so that the game makes fun of you for being destroyed outright by a little girl.

Never seen (Or heard of.) that, so, yeah. Dunno the quote.
And no, a text game usually has no pictures at all. You go into the game and get written descriptions of everything, and have the ability to enter commands to control your character. The better the game, the more commands you have available. Basic commands every game has are like examine, which shows the description of the object indicated, look, which shows the description of the room you're in, and a list of other objects or entities in the room, take, which picks up objects, drop, obvious, and so on. It's sometimes fun in a good game to just try random verbs and see what the creator wrote for them, or if they were included at all.
Most text games are puzzle based, and you have to use your verbs to solve various puzzles or mazes. The hard part comes when the puzzles are something only the author really understands, or when there's absolutely no hint given as to what you have to do. Those seem to be referred to as "Guess the verb" puzzles, because it seems like only one command can possibly move you forward, but it's not even hinted at. I played one once that you start strapped to a table, and have like five turns to get free before a mad scientist kills you, but it gives no hint as to how you get free. I never did solve that one.
Edit: A Text MUD is basically the same thing, but in MMO form. MUD stands for Multi User Dimension. They usually have less story and puzzles, but more areas, random verbs, and obviously, more people. Arguably they're more fun for that reason.
It's always fun to hang out in a gathering area and test out random verbs and see what they do in the usual three forms. One is to type just the verb - /Dance - Player dances -, Two is to use it on a player - /Dance Timmy - Player grabs Timmy and does a waltz -, and three is to use it on yourself - /Dance self - Player does a waltz all by himself -. The descriptions usually changes according to who sees them too. With the same three, the player would probably actually see - You dance in a circle - You grab Timmy and go for a waltz - You dance a waltz by yourself - While the target, in the case of the second would have their own view, such as - Player grabs you and takes you for a waltz -.
The available verbs and descriptions really depend on the game's writer, but they're usually quite fun to experiment with, both normal text games and MUDs.

Oh, the quote is this: " I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. " Naturally I'd change it around a bit, but you get the picture. xD
Ah, so it is those kind of games. That actually sounds really fun, I wonder if I'd be any good at them. =P

I'm still here. Cobra is likely enjoying the holidays with his wife and family though, if I had to make a guess.
Our characters can interact while we wait if you want, I can usually check in pretty often during the day unless i'm at work.

Cobra will most likely reply in the next couple days at most. He actually asked me a day or two ago when I was going to post, so he certainly hasn't wandered off.
That said, feel free to interact with each other a bit while you wait. I don't recommend straying too far from the mission though, since it'd be a bit, well, odd. A good tactics discussion is always beneficial though.

Ah, I didn't notice either of you two getting online, and for some reason I keep blanking the fact Cobra is married... Not forgetting, just not thinking about it. sweatdrop
Sure, if you've got the time, it couldn't hurt to talk to each other. Chances are good that we'll end up on the same squad, or at the very least working together on occasion.

Just a note, since you haven't referenced it in thought or speech yet, but Kye never gave Raphael or Enro her name. The only name they could possibly attribute to her is Kyoko, since that's what Yasashii referred to her as. Hey, it's been a few days since Martin posted now. I'm looking forward to seeing the fallout of this.

Fun sealing fact of the day! (Because I am a horrible horrible person.)
The thief doesn't actually need both hands to activate the seal.
Of course, you guys might not know that. Raphael might have an inkling, since he's used a few seals, but Enro isn't much better off than those silly silly civilians.

Fun RolePlaying Fact of the Day! (Because I'm mean like that)
If Raphael had simply done what he was told to do, (i.e. Destroy the link first, then once the links are destroyed remove the tags), then the guy would never have noticed that the tags were altered.
...as it stands however, he has. Have fun trying not to let the three innocent civilians get blown to pieces. heart

I thought I did only reference her as Kyoko in direct thoughts, otherwise I called her Kye because Kyoko is longer to type. He is 30 feet away from them and can see that one who isn't even directly facing him doesn't have a slip of paper on her mouth? He must have great vision. Oh well, I can always just cut his link seal on his hand. Since that wouldn't constitute as removing his hand, nor killing him. Heck, even removing his hand would work if you cut the seal.
