I grab one of the pillows from the sofa and toss it in Machamp's direction. I'm clearly aiming to miss, but it curves mid-flight and smacks the pokemon in the face.
"See?"

It's a great ability, until you get a pokemon that's both faster and has an OHKO move. Like Rapidash. Speak of the..." Tommy turned to the television set to see a Rapidash going in for a KO on a third Machamp. The move misses.

Ever the strategic thinker, I give a brief evaluation of the matchup. "Hm, probably a Gutsy Machamp in this case. Rapidash's trainer better not try to burn this one.
"Anyway, it's getting kinda late. We'd better get going soon."

"Anyway, it's getting kinda late. We'd better get going soon." "What? Oh, right, Guts. No Guard is sure risky," Tommy said, sipping on a glass of milk. He turned the TV set off for the night, and stood. I suppose you're right about it being a bit late. Turning in for the night sounds like a good idea," Tommy agreed. He went over to the mission room to check if his report had been looked at yet. Seeing as it hadn't been dropped in the graded box below the submission slot, Tommy turned around and cleaned up his mess from the couch and the coffee table.

After making sure everything was either off or secure, Tommy made way to the light switch near the hallway door. Hitting the light switch to the "off" connection, Tommy made his way down the hallway. Soon, the hallway light was off as well. A few lightswitch flips later, all lights in Aqua were off. And thus, Aqua was silent.

In the darkness of the night, the teleporter flickered on. A group of Pokemon scuttled into the vents and the other inner workings. After all the shapes had made it into hiding, the teleporter shut back down, as if nothing had happened.

"We built the pyramids!" Ginji yelled as he watch the Big Bang Theory. Larvitar just sat there and watched the TV show the pretty colors and the nerd lingo made the little Pokemon happy.

Rex walked in with Corphish, who immediately jumped up on the couch, frozen watching the tv, not paying attention to anyone else. "Finally he shut up..." Rex sighed. He took a couple asprin and swallowed it with the help of some good ol' H2O. "Hey Ginji what's going on?"

"Pizza, anyone?" Tommy called from the kitchen area, having been in there preparing himself some dinner. He left five pieces on the counter, grabbed a root beer, and headed over to the couch. He froze up like Corphish while eating as he too watched the awesomeness that was Big Bang Theory.

"Pizza!" Ginji yelled excitedly and he shot up and ran for the pizza box. "Nothing much is going on here. Just watching some television." he smiled as he got a piece of pepperoni and meat lovers.

Rex smiled. "Eh sure why not." Rex said. He got up grabbed a piece of pizza and a bottled root beer. He walked back into the common room with his food and beverage in hand. He sat down next to his teammates and Corphish.

"Seems everyone is away." Rex sighed. The HQ was getting lonely. He missed the days of first joining when the HQ was always active.
Corphish was still watching the tv intently.
