Shadow smiled and kissed her gentle on the cheek. "I don't need a robe to stay warm. I produce enough body heat to warm an entire country." he said as he hugged her tightly. "I'll be fine." he told her gentle.

"Oh, ok.." Kira smiled and laughed softly. She shivered again and pulled the robe tighter, leaning into Shadow. She looked up at the sky and sighed, flexing her wings. Then she turned to him and laughed. "Want to teach me to fly?" She asked.

Shadow closed his eyes and listened to Kira's question. When he opened them, he nodded. "Sure why not?" he said as he stood up. "Though I think you might want to dry off. Here I'll help." he said as he closed his eyes and a giant flame appeared behind him. He then summoned a great gust of wind and shot it through the flames. The wind was warmed up enough to dry Kira nicely but didn't mess up her hair.

Kira stood, closing her eyes against the warm wind. After it was done she laughed, running her fingers through her dried hair. "Thanks." she smiled, handing him back the robe.

Shadow took the robe and put it back on. "Alright....I'm not exactly sure how to fly with wings...but I'm sure I'll be able to teach you anyways." he said as began to float up into the air.
"Alright, first, try out your wings, flap em a few times to get a feel for what it's like to have to move them. use a 1234 count." he said as he watched her. "Just count and flap. One is up, to is level, three is down, four is back up. Try it out."

Kira nodded and watched him float up. Then she closed her eyes and counted. "1..." The wings went up. "...2.." They slowly went level. "..3..." They flopped down. "..4." They slowly floated back up. Opening her eyes Kira tried it again, a small frown of concentration on her face.

"Good, but don't expect t fly from here." he said as he clapped happily. "In order for that to work, we ned to go back up to that rock." he said a she pointed up at the rock that was still floating above the lake.
"Come on. I'll take us up there." he said as he offered her his hand.

Kira cocked her head and looked at the floating rock. She laughed lightly, her tail wagging. "Ok." She said as she took his hand.

Shadow grasped her hand and took off towards the rock. He was excited about teaching Kira to fly. "Now, this might might be scary for you at first, bt you're gonna have to trust me." he said as they landed on the Rock and he had the wind under it push it even higher up into the air. "So do you?" he asked her as he held her hand and looked her in the eyes.

Kira grabbed his hand tighters as the rock rose higher but quickly calmed herself. Her ear twitched at his words and she paused, looking back into his eyes. "Of course." she said with a soft smile and a nod.

Shadow smiled, "Alright then. Please don't grow angry. This is the fastest way you'll learn. Just remeber the 1234 count and you'll be fine. If anything goes wrong. I'll be right there to help you." he said as he walked over to the edge still holding Kiras hand. "Remember what I told you." he said as he placed her on the very edge of the rock and let go of her hand.
He then called forth a great wind that knocked her from the rock and pushed her out into mid-air. "I love you." he said softly as he watched her fall off the rck. "I won't let anything bad happen he said as he rose into the air and followed slowly after her.

Kira went along curiously as he brought her to the edge, freezing as she was able to look down. "Shadow...?" She said in almost a whisper. She bit her lip to keep from screaming as she plummeted suddenly over the edge from the gust of wind.
1, 2, 3, 4... she thought over and over again as she fell, her eyes shut tightly and her hands over her face. Slowly her wings flapped and she felt herself slowing slightly but when she parted her fingers to see, she was still falling faster than she would've liked. She thought the numbers faster, willing her wings to move faster as well. After a moment they obeyed and she slowed even more, though still a bit too fast for her liking.
She opened her eyes wide and they flashed red as her wings slowed, instead taking longer, slower flaps. She rubbed her eyes frantically to get rid of the red haze and looked around, a sigh of relief escaping as she realized she was no longer moving but instead suspended in midair.

Shadow smiled as he watched Kira cathc herself in mid-air. He then flew down to her side and hugged her. "I'm sorry. I knew that the only way for you to learn how to fly quickly was to be in a situation where you were in danger." he said as he kissed her lightly on the cheek."But you did it. I'm so proud of you. Now you can slow the timing down. You won't have to flap so often once we get up higher. The air flow up there will carry you. You'll only have to flap once or twice a minute up there." he said with a smile. He was extremely happy for her.

Kira wiped her eyes and hugged Shadow back. "That really scared me..." she said quiety. She rubbed her arms lightly. "It gave me chills even!" She added with a laugh. She nodded as she took in what he said. "Alright. I'll keep practicing and get better." She decided with a smile.

Shadow hugged her lovingly and smiled. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to be scared. But as you can see, it was a very quick way of teaching you how to fly." he said with a slight chuckle. "And I'll be there for you every step of the way." he said with a smile. "But lets head back down to the beach." he said softly.
