Chris walked over to the edge of the water and put Ritens body totally under. Chris then grabbed a giant rock and set it on Ritens stomach so that Ritens body could sink to the bottom of the lake. Chris gave a little bow of gratitude and walked back onto the shore. Chris looked at Jennifer and said in a calm voice, " This journey is almost over. Once were finished, We can go back to living our peacefull live's."

Chris looked at Jennifer for a minute and said in a calm voice, " Fighting has brought nothing but sadness and fear. If anyone deserves to be sad then it is Kakorata because he is the one that brought hell upon us. He must be stopped no matter what the cost." Chris then embraced Jennifer in a gentle hug. Chris then thought to himself, ' Kakorata will be stopped, Even if it means me giving up my life to do it.'

Chris said in a calm tone, " I promise, But if it has to be done then it has to be done. Sometimes the only way we can save live's is by giving up ours."

Chris looked at Jennifer whos eye's were begining to tear up and said in a calming voice, " Yes, I know. I love you too much as well. In fact the last thing i want to do is leave you alone. I swear that i wont die unless it is absoloutly necessary." Chris then wiped away Jennifers tear's and kissed her.

Chris said in a tired voice, " I know, I wont die. I promise you that. I have this strange feeling that in the coming battle something is going to happen to both Kakorata and me. Im not sure what it is yet, But it might be a good thing."

Chris loked at Jennifer and said, " I wont die, If it is a bad thing then i can probably survive. But if i do die then i might be given a choice on wether i want to come back to you or not. I would probably come back anyways because i have friends and old teacher's here that i would miss alot. I have you as well, You have always been there for me and now it is high time that i am here for you." Chris then hugged Jennifer tightly.

Underwater, Riten shoved the rock off his chest, but remained underwater still holding his breath. He knew that Chris, Jennifer and the other chap he had never caught the name of were still above him. Hm, I alway knew surving without air for a long period of time would be helpful to living, but I never dreamed I'd use it to die, he thought amusedily. He rubbed his neck and realised that he had not made the illusion of a drak line across his troat the was usually accompied with a broken neck. It didn't matter now that they had sunk him, but that could have been a costly mistake. He would have to be careful from here on out for his plan to work. All he needed was Chris and Jennifer to leave the strange chap who had screamed his misery at Riten's "death" behind again ...
