The young man that just spoke to us, Tristan, has a crush on me. That's why he looked at you the way he did. It's hard to hide these things from a priestess."
Nebride walked so that she was facing Gwendar and stopped. "I am happy. You do know that, right?"

he saw gren and togan walk up to them.

"hey!" i said smiling brighter than i had before. . . not too bright though. i smirked. "i saw that" i laughed lightly and looked around. it was swarming with elves. . . that and they were staring at us. us and our flat ears.
"they'll. . . get used to us after a while. . . right?" i asked nebride nervously. being stared at the way her people were freaked me out. i hate being put on the spot like this.

Nebride looked around and the other elves began to go back to what they were doing. "Yeah, they'll get over it soon enough." She grasped Gren's arm. "You and I need to talk. Togan--stay here with Gwendar and....chat. Try not to kill each other okay?" She led Gren away from the guys.
"I need to tell you something and I want you to give me the honest truth. I really do value your opinion."

Nebride smiled at Gren's reaction. She knew exactly how she felt. "Well...Gwendar and I are going to....well---we're going to get married." She looked over at Gren expectantly.

shock covered my face. married? wasn't it a little soon for that? "well . . . ok." i said after calming down a little. "i think it's a little too soon for that. give it a week or 2. and theres lots of preparations. but other than that. . . congradulations!" i exclaimed brightly with a big smile on my face.

Nebride smiled with relief. "Thank you Gren. I was planning on waiting a week or so. First we need to get everyone moved back to the lake and settled in. There is of course the prepartions--" She glanced over at Gren. "I want you to be one of my bridesmaids."

Jane nodded then turned to Nebride. "Do you wish me to prepare a place for her and the boy?"
"If you don't mind Jane." Nebride answered.
"It would be my pleasure. It was nice to meet you, Gren." Jane smiled slightly and walked away.
"Well, that wasn't so bad was it?" Nebride laughed.
