Sai had driffted off into the view outside the window to even noticed tegral had stopped talking to her. hearing Damien's name int he distance she snapped back softly as if surprised. Damien had made his way into the room and headed towards his mother and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, as he stood nearly a foot taller than her. She smiled, as she patted his shoulder. its nice to see that you changed your mind Damien... Damien smiled as she picked up the class of champagne that tegral had given Sai and sipped it lightly. heh i was bored at home and decided to keep you company, and make sure your safe...because its nice to meet the people you work with or, tried to kill, or haven't hit the sack with.. he took a sip from the glass and smiled at his mother, as he glanced at her with his green eyes through the strands of brown hair covering his face. Sai rolled her eyes and nudged him on the chest.

A small curtain would part at the top of the balcony, both a man and woman would come into view. One of them was the host, the other his 'date'. The man had long wavy hair, obsidian in color with one crimson, and one golden eye, his skin was also a light blue tone and he had pointed ears and fangs, also he had a finely trimmed and pointed beard. A vampire or a demon perhaps? His sense of fashion had a slight twist to it as well. He wore what appeared to be a classy tuxedo, but at the opening to the sleeves, a vibrant fire pattern extended up the outer portions of his arms. The man also appeared to have a golden cane with an emerald or jade setting in the middle, unfortunately it was hard to tell. Beside him stood a beauty, skin near white and smooth as satin, hair a dark shade of green, she had large structured earrings that looked like squares. There was also what appeared to be a white strap or fabric choker around her neck. Her eyes were also green, as emeralds and her dress-- what a dress! Matching the neck strap, the woman wore a white dress, very see through. Not to mention it was huge in terms of volume. Underneath it all a more simple looking slip, with jewels over the top and bottoms strategically placed.
(( Think of the Venus bathing suit from the Beach Ball Volley Ball games. ))
Finally, looking over the gathering the host would speak out to those below. "Greetings... I thank you all for attending my little-- introduction." A slight bow would follow, in good mannors before The Count continued. "I am, The Count of Monte Cristo, and it is a pleasure to meet you all here tonight." The Count sounded genuine in his tone and actions thus far. The night would be a good one. "Please, enjoy yourselves and mingle. I look forward to meeting and speaking with all of you." So, everyone would get a chance to ask any questions they may have had, and would get a chance to get to know The Count, the mysterious man who invited most everyone in the region, whether they be on good terms or bad. "Welcome to the temple." Another slight bow, and The Count would begin to wander the side of the balcony to a staircase several feet away. He was decending to the party floor. Meanwhile out front both Baptistain and Bertuicco could hear The Count's entrance, and had two others take their places at the door as they made their way back inside. "Looks like the boss has made his appearance.", "Mhn.". The pair would be at the back of the room, entering from where everyone else had. Once The Count had appeared the drumming became far lower, so that he could speak and be clearly heard by everyone.

The rather bored looking time lord was off by himself, rather disinterested in the Count's entrance. A glass of punch -or whatever he actually happened to grab- balanced atop two fingers and a thumb on his right hand, which he also seemed distinterested in as noted by the fact he hadn't touched it. What did interested him was no one in particular, but the interactions between everyone and the amusing disturbance in of itself. It was not that he was shy or anything of the sort, he simply did not care to mingle, with the obvious preference of people-watching taking precedence. Inwardly he let out a brief sigh, wondering about his firearms and hoping to god no one had touched the acursed mace, though he was sure no one had.

Now with the other guests The Count would mingle, starting off with young lord Griffin and his sister, the lady Bell, and their mother Kaiori. "It gives me great pleasure to see you attend this evening. Thank you for attending. This must be your sister, the lovely lady Bell and your lovely mother. Bonsoir." The Count would move his arm with the cane in hand to his torso, and would proceed to bow polietly to the group. Haydée would remain at The Count's side and would also bow her head a little. "This is Haydée, she is like a daughter to me."

Sai would turn her head a little to notice that the count had made his appearance, she glanced at Damien and smiled slighty, before taking away her glass from him and took a sip herself. Damien glanced at her, and glanced over to the count as he made his enterance. Sai would place the glass on the window sill as she would use her reflection as a mirror and fixed her curls. Daimen would lean against the wall slighty as he adjusted his tux. I wish Focht could of made it, it would of been nice evening out....I miss him terribly She mumbled to herself. Damien glanced over to his mother and frowned slightly at her comment. Though she is ever around him that often, he hated to see her suffer loneliness. he poked her side softly, as he heard music. he grabbed her arm and swayed her about as he brought her close and started to move around as if he was dancing to some unheard music in his mind. Come mother lets dance..this is a party after all Sai surprised by his actions fough against him and only laughed at his notions as they both were dancing in their corner of the party.

Slipping into the small group of party guests, both Baptistain and Bertuccio would work their way over to the tables. Baptistain would go for some wine and mellon balls, while Bertuccio seemed more interested in some fresh prawns and egg halves, filled with a vegetable pâté of some sort. Both men seemed jubilant after getting their slice of food and drink at the tables. From there, they'd watch the group interactions, The Count, Haydée and other things in and around the floor.

*The group would follow, bowing their heads. Griffin’s eyes seemed less judgmental, Bell seemed in high spirits and Kaiori seemed pleased. Griffin would be the first to speak.* Thank you for including our family in your hospitalities, unfortunately my father will be unable to attend. *Bell will stay silent, glancing at the pretty woman next to the man and wondering if her brother would ever let her wear a dress like that. Kaiori quickly glances to her son, wondering when he received this new information and holding a taste of disappointment in her mouth.*

*With the admiral and Co. now away and Kaiori with her children, Nana was left alone. As such she would start scanning for another guest to talk with, but the pickings as they were, were rather-- slim. Between people that wanted to kill her because she was Mastema's wife, and people who probably just wanted to kill her because they could, Nana found herself needless to say, alone in all senses. Twilight was talking with Mastema, KB was-- somewhere, and wanted Nana dead for what ever his reasons were. Sairys appeared to be dancing with someone, Thanatos was eating things at the tables. The man with the bird seemed to have stepped out, or perhaps he was hiding. The shape shifting man with souls crying out in pain was hopefully avoidable. For the moment the host was with Kaiori and her children. That left, the time lord? He looked a little bored himself, maybe he'd talk a little? If he didn't want to talk, Nana could always take up an empty spot on the back of a wall*

Tacitus felt as though he would be better suited perched atop a rooftop as some gargoyle watching the others, even watching the watchers. He studied Baptisian and Bertuccio for a moment as they took some of the refrshments for themselves, but lost interest in them. His eyes floated across those few in attendance, resting for a moment on the lone Nana, perhaps a moment longer than he would have otherwise. It was not a look of desire, or the same look of passive interest he studied everyone with, but somewhere between pity and reluctance. While he would not turn her away if she approached him for conversation, he was not the type to approach women in any setting, unless it was one of those moments where he could play the hero, which is why he enjoyed watching everyone just fine. Hell, he wasn't even much of a hero anymore, not that it much mattered.

*Approching other women to talk was far easier than approching men for Nana. As such she was a little hesitant, nervous, and timid. Then again some admiral just told her, he had been trying to kill her and her family just minutes before. It wasn't a wonder she had a bad taste in her mouth for conversation at present. If she knew that she was being pitied from a far, Nana would probably feel worse*

KB by now would have shrugged to himself a little, the Count's introduction seemingly finished. He had very lovely eye-candy on his arm, which drew KB's eyes some. After a few moments of appreciation he would wander towards the banquet tables, fetching himself a glass of punch. It was a mixture of keeping himself busy and blending in as he quickly downed the glass, gulp after gulp.
"No booze?" He questioned as one eye closed, the other peering into the bottom of the empty glass. "Phooey." He lamented, before shrugging and retrieving another ladle's worth of punch. Regardless of what was in it, it was delicious!

Kyslith sniffed the air. She caught the scent of old death. She had been traveling for almost two weeks now and hadn't come across a single corpse to feed on. She sniffed the air again. Their were many bodies buried, somewhere near. She quickened her pace, her odd lurching gait speeding up to a jogging pace. She came to a field of reddish flowers. A light mist of toxins hung in the air, an acrid smell to Kyslith. Further still was what appeared as a rennovated ruin of a bleach-white temple. Kyslith shuddered at the sight of all the guests arriving there. To her experience, mingling has always resulted a quick flight from death. Her stomach growled. To get to the graves she might have to pass near the entryway. Not to mention getting passed the flowers.
Kyslith tossed a rock into the flower cluster.......nothing. A small upset of poisonous pollen, but not the toxic burst she was expecting. Maybe if she walked slowly enough through them she might make it over to the buried corpses for a much needed meal.
Kyslith checked and tightened the dark leather belts and straps wrapped around her body. Poor armor, but it was exellent apperal for moving quickly and quietly. Besides, direct combat wasn't a preffered tactic of hers anyway. Her dark boots were covered in fine, deadly pollen as she inched her way forward. Kyslith kept as low as she possibly could without breathing it in. So far, so good......

News of Apollo not attending the party was accepted and processed with thought, before The Count would give any sort of response. "A pity, but I understand." The man was a busy king, he had many obligations and responsablilities. A small party such as this may not rank high up on his 'to do' list. In response to Bell, Haydée would smile polietly. The pair would likely get along with eachother nicely; Haydée had a calming aura around her, she was truly at peace along side The Count.
Elsewhere in the room both Baptisian and Bertuccio had finished off their refrshments and were now watching everyone for their own safety. The musicians had started onto some chello and light violin work, some light claironette was also mixed in. It was easy to start dancing to this type of music. As for KB's questioning of alcohol, there was an ample stock of spirits at one of the other tables. There was a server there to pour a glass or two when someone requested it. Outside meanwhile Kyslith would not be stopped or asked what she was doing on the grounds. She appeared to be avoiding the party and was far enough away not to be considered a threat. The bodies she was searching for where burried deeply underground a fair distance from where she was now, it would take a little while to get there.

...after what seemed an eternity, Kyslith emerged from the crimson field of poisonous flowers."Kahh.." she muttered, spitting at the toxic pedals. She moved in quick, jerky actions, wiping dirt, pollen and sweat from the pale gray flesh of her thin, angular face with sinuous hands that were equally pallid. She quickly shook out her long tangled locks of soiled pinkish hair that hung wildly from her head. "Huuur..", she grumbled, then coughed violently for a bit before spitting up a mouthful of blood, the dark ichor spattering over her many pointed teeth and dribbling down her chin.
She needed food badly, and only a festering body would do. She quickly snapped to a crouched position, as if suddenly awakened from a trance. She moved noiselessly, her awkward, loping stride resembling that of a wounded animal. She shadowed the temple wall, moving almost invisibly in the direction of the sweet scent of cadaver. The faint sounds of the party were now to her back as she made quick ground.

KB's nose wrinkled, and his pupils widened.
Slowly and casually he would drift towards the table O' booze, though he had an ominous eagerness to him. Like a jellyfish slowly creeping upon its unsuspecting prey! Eventually he reached the table and the server, accosting both with his punch-glass and cheerful disposition.
"You must be an angel!" He exclaimed happily, teasing the server. Gender didn't matter so long as they could poor him a drink. Something other than Kai's special bloody ceasar this time would go down smooth. "I need a drink, something smooth. Think you could fix me something special?" He asked, his left brow rising slightly.
