::Hodari took in a deep breath, nodding as they went along. That eerie light catching his intrests, all of his focus going into that light.... It was... so pretty... It was like the glow of moon light upon the surface of water...:: ::He quickly shook his head, looking away from the light..::"I'll go check one out sometime. I'll leave a trail of leaves or something so that I don't get lost... Maybe we can find a way to the top of the waterfall.. There's no tellin' what's up there!" ::The top of the waterfall.... Anything could be up there! More jungle, a wild plain... Who knew? Well.. The birds most likely knew but, there was NO way he was asking a bird to tell him!::

Ciyari's ears perk. She certainly hadn't thought of that..."But how'll you see 'em in the dark?" She querries, clearly puzzled. By now, their paws have carried them towards the light - they round the corner....
The cavern they enter is not massive; it's short and squat, reaching only about five foot at the entrance, perhaps six feet high at the tallest part. But almost every inch of it is covered in glistening stone, reflected off the sunlight from a small crack above. It's like a mirror effect - one stone shines upon the next, which shines upon the next, and so on, until the room is quite brightly lit, as if it were daytime in here, too.

::Hodari's soft red eyes fell upon one of the glittering stones, with all of it's wonderous beauty.... He did not speak, he did not move... He did not even blink as he allowed his eyes to rest upon it... So pretty... Even prettier than the mountains and the lake had been.. Even more beautiful than the twilight sky had been and the waterfalls!:: ::The cub quietly placed one of his small paws upon the rocky wall as he sat down, tail wrapping around him, eyes wide open....:: ::All of his thoughts seemed to fade away as he stared at thier colors, a solemn expression spreading across his maw...::

Layla had fallen asleep curled arouns Montsho's front paw and her small black figure melted in to the larger feline's. They'd been asleep for many hours in the upper branches of a large tree near the location of the encounter between the other cubs. This was where Montsho had lived before she'd gone out to hunt and stumbled upon this little ebony lioness. Back then she'd kept her encounters with other kinds to a bear minimum, wanting nothing to do with them.
Montsho stretched out in a nice little nook where the tree split into three large branches. As she moved and flexed her claws the tiny cub was jostled and awoken. She clung to the bark of the branch, righting herself with little help. The large leopard picked the cub up rather lazily and hopped down to the base of the tree, shaking Layla some bit, but the silence proved she'd taken no real injury.

Ciyari glances over to Hodari, and for a moment, the cocky little cub falls away. She knows what he's feeling - the sense of awe of this place. She felt it, too, when she came here for the first time...it's a stunning mix of beauty and nature at it's most incredible.
But she's seen it before, and she's anxious to keep moving, to show him the other things...the more perplexing issues, to her own mind. Maybe he can shed some light on what they are, or why they're here. She fidgets for a moment, torn between letting him experience the room slowly, and the pressing need to keep moving. Finally, reluctantly, she moves towards the other end of the room, where there's another opening - this, a short hallway, yet not lit up as the room is. Instead, beyond, there's light in the next room - less, to be sure, but enough to still see. She wondered, when she first came here, who set the stones at just the right angles to catch the sunlight or moonlight, but now that doesn't interest her.
"C'mon, I wanna show you the rest...." She mumbles to him, urging him on.

::His ears drooped a little as he stood up, one paw shuffling infront of the other as he turned around to walk towards her. He held his head up high, moving into a slight jog until he was up next to her, his eyes still lingering upon the stones and thier magnificent apperance.::

The realm of the mist weavers was one of both mysterious beauty and haunting tales. The land had seen both golden ages and dark ages, it had seen times of plenty and times of famine, it had seen glory and it had seen misery. The lions that had once lived in the now lush area were almost as mysterious as the land themselves. They had been very unlike other lion prides that inhabited Africa’s various lands. They had been wiser, more peaceful in a way, and perhaps more beautiful than the others. They worshiped the bringer of the storms- proclaiming he to be the one who imbued the mist weavers with such a blessed land. Times of plenty were times of rivers flowing far onto the shore, bursting with fat fish, lush plant life which brought bountiful prey animals. During those times, the pride was at peace, hidden from their rivals of the flame and left to study the skies and make themselves wiser. They had been the only race of lions to create a written language and successfully record it. Within the deep and glorious caves of the lands were written in the nearly forgotten language of the weavers their history. From the tales of the pride’s creation to the fears and suspicions of the pride’s demise. The writings were in the stained colors of native berries - reds and violets mainly. A method that was also recorded in the vast history upon the walls.
This language, this method, this way of life- was considered well lost by the present time. The pride had recorded in among the very last of the records that the pride’s numbers were low and growing lower. In the writings was mentioned the mysterious illness that was looked upon as the wrath of the pride’s creator that had come into the pride. The king had only produced one heiress to his throne before succumbing to this illness leaving the pride without a male - or so was recorded . The story teller was murdered during the kidnap of the young princess and the remaining female had fallen ill- soon perishing herself. Of course- their tales were nearly forgotten for none were thought to be living that knew of the stories, that knew of the language, and how to both read and write it. The caves were perhaps doomed to hold their tales and secrets to themselves until the end of the world.
However- those caves had sheltered more than precious history and secrets within their dark yet fantastic chambers. The main cave - the one where much of the important history was recorded upon the walls - was home to far more than vegetation and small cave-dwelling vermin. In the deepest chamber - one filled with writings and the dazzling gems, which were perhaps used in the older days to reflect light from the sun at appropriate times of the day to light selected chapters of the stories marking events - lived perhaps the greatest secret and legacy to the weavers; a young cub, a male, bearing the coloring and markings of the ancient mist weavers. Having lived deep within the caves for much of his short life he had been kept safe from whatever had caused the rest of his assumed tribe to vanish from existence. A beautiful creature he was too. His coat was a stormwind blue color- almost grey if seen in the right light - streaked by runes and writings of his culture. A white mane atop his head and a flowing white tuff of fur from his tail complemented his white belly and paws. Eyes of the most spectacular cerulean bore no malice within them. An odd sense of wisdom shone in them, but also a bit of a playful mysteriousness.
Maji was a gentle creature. He had no desire to become fierce and powerful like so many cubs at his age dreamt of for their future. His good heart had led him to think differently about just about everything. The creatures that would normally be considered mere prey to a lion were his friends. The wild deer of the wood, the birds of the sky, and even some of the larger creatures that roamed the brush. It would almost be safe to call him a reluctant lion - though only a cub. He fed on the fish from the stream. It had been hard learning how to catch the fish -what with how the water bent the image of the creatures of make them appear where they weren’t. A fisher bird was kind enough to tell him of that secret and slowly he got better. Insects and large pest creatures (such as mice, rats, etc.) had been added to his menu as well. He wasn’t exactly a plump cub but he wasn’t ever terribly hungry. His figure was lean so a powerful lion most likely wouldn’t be produced from him. Instead he had become quick. His paws could snap quick as a bird’s neck when snagging a fish. To catch the scurrying mice he had to be able to weave well though the low brush and beat them to their den.
Presently he lay in the deepest chamber of the historical caves, looking up to a pair of moths that had passed through a small crack and danced in the shimmering light of one of the many gems. His head lay upon his paws and a gentle smile graced his lips. He had just only woken up from a nap, content in the cool of the cave but the warmth of his spot in the moss upon the ground. His eyes were parted only halfway as he still felt a bit drowsy from his rest but not enough to return to sleep again.

Moofuls "Never knew her," Kimbio repeated, shrugging slightly. "She either died or abandoned me not long after I was born. I'm honestly not sure. I can't even remember what she looked like." He paused and glanced sideways to her, chuckling softly and leaning over to playfully nuzzle her shoulder. "I don't mind you asking, don't worry. If I had any siblings, they're wherever my mother is, and we were never part of a coalition. I tought myself to hunt, which explains why I'm not very good at it. Hid at an oasis 'til I was old enough to really travel. Captured dune lizards for food..." Again he shrugged, returning his eyes forward. "It's not as bad as it sounds. I'm alive, and healthy, and happy, so why should I worry? It-" He abruptly fell silent, staring in awe at the print in the earth, taking a small step away from it. "What species...? Can you tell..?" Laio was still shocked that her companion never knew his family, and before she could become upset she shoved the thought firmly to the back of her mind and concentrated on the print. "Looks like... well, elephant or something," She answered in an awed voice, pacing round the track which was half her skinny bodylength. She looked up. "You've seen the elephants, right? The last ones I saw, half a season back, were really huge. Like.. really huge." She gave that nervous little hop-skip step again as she glanced up to see which way the track led.

"Elephant?" he echoed, somewhat confused. His eyes traveled from her back to the print, and he shook his head. "I've never seen an...elephant. But if this is the print of one, they must be as big as you say.." His eyes searched the ground for another print, and a few feet away he found it, all but identical to the first, shuddering slightly at the sheer size. "Elephants...don't eat meat, though, right? Else they'd rule, not the pride-cats..."

* A small while after kini caught his fishy dinner you find him still perched high up in the tree's.Slowly, he climbs down from where he was at.* woah.. im full.... *He licks his chops giveing a slight grin.* that was alot to eat.... maybe its cause i havent eaten for a small while. *Jumping down from the tree he was in once again he goes over to the lakes side. Instead of stalking prey though, he lowers his head into the cool waters and laps up the refreshing water.*

I've heard tales how one time an entire family of pride-cat smanaged to get a sickly elephant-child, but it took all of them. You've never seen one?" She danced a little on the spot, black-tipped paws marking the edges of the huge prints. "Let's follow these then, and I will show you! You have never seen something so big," She said with absolute conviction. "And they look to be heading mainly our direction. Will you come?"
