OoC| Dropping off Nikki for a continuation And Maggie.. just cause xD
Nikki continued to walk along in silence, even falling half a step behind the demonic mew, though whether he really meant to or not no one would really know unless they asked. He lightly watched the sky, wings folded at his back, arms barely moving at his sides. He didn't at all seem bothered by the silence, though occasionally he did look over to Ethra, if it was only for a few moments.
Magdalena huffed lightly as she wandered, arms crossed over her chest as she fumed. She was still angry of walking in on Engel with some strange man, that she hadn't even meet before. Engel was her 'daughter', it was just so rude to not ask her permission about a possible suitor. And then to find out that they were technically engaged, Magdalena had been completely infuriated. Though she was still mad, some of the fire had died down with the help of a couple bottles of fine wines. That and she hadn't run into the panther male again, so that had helped heal her mood.

>>Her wings low she didn't break the silence, infact, she was a lover for these types of walks with people. They were the best kinds. The female though did flick her eyes over to the male once though. Once. Her crimson eyes lighting upon his form before going back infront of her. It was then the unthinkable happened. The most apalling thing of the week, nay, month, nay, YEAR! The noble slipped on a small slope going down, a gasp slipping from her.
>>a hand in his pocket, ratch took the 'shortcut' to the shop through the woods. Like hell was he going to take the normal, crowded, completely open and unprotected road leading there! The mere thought of it hadn't even crossed his mind, a rookie on his first day of training should know better to avoid them when possible. Especially when they knew that there were a few...hostile anthros about<<

Nikki hadn't noticed her looking at him, though if he had he probably wouldn't have said anything, after all that kind of thing would most likely make the woman mad. His eyes had been just drifting down from the sky again when he heard the gasp and, frowning, lightly turned his head to look at her. When he saw her slip he acted more on impulse and instinct, rather then on the thought that he might end up getting slapped for helping. He took a few quick steps forward, wings seeming to spread of their own accord as he reached out with both arms, instantly wrapping them around Ethra and pulling her to him, holding her so she wouldn't fall.
It was while the female rabbit continued to fume when her ears twitched lightly. Footsteps? She lifted her head lightly, eyes sharply and quickly scanning the surrounding area. It wasn't hard to stop Ratch, after all he wasn't decked out in some kind of ninja get-up. Then again, nor was she. She couldn't help but let her eyes run over the male's... very nice figure, a light smile curving her lips. For a moment she thought of just watching him, though she thought that engaging this rather interesting male would be much more fun.
"Hey there..." Her voice was just loud enough to carry, and she couldn't help the hint of sultry smugness in her voice.

>>The gasp had just ended as she fell towards the ground, one hand reaching behind her to help absorb some impact...not quite. Crimson eyes wide, she slowly looked up at the male that held her so securely. And for the first time in years...she blushed. It was faint to be sure, but with her fair skin it was definatly noticable; amplified. Besides embarrasment, it was hard to tell what else she exactly felt in her deep eyes. Not because she hid them so well, there was just too many! Horror, shame, that old embarrassment, confusion, sadness, a hint of fear and many, many more. But as quickly as it had come, it was gone again, a master at masking her emotions<< Do you mind?
>>It was hard not to notice the female, them being the only two anthros around and his paranoid -he prefered the term, cautious- way of looking at every single tiny detail around him. Even if he was just relaxing on a lazy day such as now. Though the surprise came in when she actually spoke, and the tone used in it. He hid it completely, not one for showing things of that sort. His free hand lifted slighty, bright violet eyes lighting briefly on hers<< Yo. >>He walked right on past her<<

Nikki wasn't at all surprised by her not bothering to thank him, though what did startle him was she was... blushing? That and the sudden shockwave of emotion that washed through her eyes as quickly as a wave on the sea; there one second and gone the next. Though in the sea of Ethra's eyes it did not come back.
When he suddenly notice that he had, in fact, been staring at her for some time after she had asked to be let go he blinked lightly. He removed his arms from around her, quickly taking a step back, wings tightly folded against his back.
"I'm sorry...."
Magdalena blinked... blinked again... then turn to watch him go. Did he just... pass right by her? She was completely stunned, that had never happened to her before. Too surprised for that moment to be angry or annoyed she turned, following him.
"Are you just going to leave a lady stranded out here?" She pouted lightly, finding herself watching the man's... very nice backside.

>>Him staring at her, her staring at him...she took a deep breath and let it out slowly as his arms fell away. That was different. She turned and started walking again, this time with deliberate care. And only after a few minutes had ticked on by, all traces of the previous emotions gone within her...did the female at last speak again<< you have a quick reaction time. >>and that was as close to a thank you as nikki could ever hope to get<<
>>Yup, right on pass. He listened to her soft words and quiet footsteps, turning them around in his mind. Hmmm...The man stopped, looking over his shoulder at the woman<< You're absoluetly right. Sorry about that >>he lifted a hand and pointed to the right<< Main road is straight that way, you cant miss it. Just follow it down and you'll hit civilization in no time. Good luck. >>He started walking again<<

For a moment Nikki didn't move, then quietly he followed after her, though this time his eyes were locked on the ground. When she finally spoke again he looked up, blinking at her. "Thank you..." Normally he would have explained why, though at the moment he didn't really think Ethra would actually care. So he let his eyes fall back to the ground as he continued to walk.
She was completely amazed, so much so she actually stopped walking. Was he brushing her off? HE... was brushing HER off. NO ONE brushed her off, SHE brushed THEM off. And then they fell to pieces. That's just how things worked. She huffed, now annoyed, stalking after him with her arms crossed. "WELL. Aren't YOU the perfect gentleman."

>>and there it was. While before it had been a comfortable silence, now there was a big dark aura creeping at the corners of her mind, coming from the shuffling creature behind. What did he want from her? A pat on the back and a smile? Both things came with a high price from her, one that obviously enough neither of them wanted to pay. But, this was not the type of quiet she enjoyed<< If you want, you can leave at any time. >>another sentence from her! She was being quite the chatterbox today<<
>>That was the thing. He didn't care if that wasn't how things went for her, this is how things went for him. A very distinct difference<< How observant. Is there something you need? Besides an escort to the road. >>Yeah. He could be a bit of an a**hole at times. But it helped sort out who would be able to take his personality early on from those who would jus walk away<<

He blinked up when she spoke again, a little surprised really. ".... I... can leave.... if you want me to..." In all respects he would leave her alone if she wanted him to, he was still wondering if she was mad at him for catching her... and then staring at her so... Then again he was now in a rather depressed mood. "..... I think I will leave.... " He stopped walking, trying to smile lightly. "It was nice meeting you...." He had nearly forgotten that she had never given him anything to call her. His eyes lowered at that thought as he turned to walk away.
Magdalena glared at his back. "Yeah. A very strong drink." No, she wasn't angry yet. Though she possibly would be soon. Either this guy was gay, or completely blind to the pure beauty that was following him. Though her bet was on the former, and even with such people she had managed to turn their heads. This was just ridiculous, this was not a good day for her.

>>A sigh, as soft as the rustle of new fall leaves, back straight<< ...Ethra. It was nice meeting you...Lady Ethra. >>Oh god, did she honestly just...just...told her name to a...a COMMONER? Just because he caught her once, she felt it fit to give such an honor away to a man that could hardly comprehend its importance? It was like the queen of england giving a homeless child a smile<<
Ah, sorry. I don't carry alcohol on me. Highly flamable. >>No, no. He wasn't gay just bisexual<< though again, take the road to the town there, buy yourself some Vodka, knock yourself out. Though pretty as you are...stay away from dark alleyways or random Inns. And carry a knife on you. Have fun.

Nikki stopped lightly, turning his head to look at Ethra, blinking lightly. Had she really just told him her name? He couldn't help the smile that slowly crept onto his face. It was a weak one, but it was still there. "... Thank you... m'Lady..." He didn't really know what kept him from saying her name, probably because she had waited until just now to give it. He would have commented on how beautiful he thought it was, but he knew she wouldn't like it. So he simply took off, heading in the direction he had come in, now simply wanting to go home.
She blinked. Had he just complimented her? So maybe he wasn't a completely lost cause. "Why don't you just come with me then, to make sure I don't go wandering into trouble." She huffed at the thought of carrying around a knife. Where on earth would she keep such a thing?

She exhaled softly and started back towards the tree she had left behind. No...he didnt understand the importance of giving her name out. The mew carefully wove around the trees. If only he knew...She stopped by the old trunk, having not gone too far by the time he had left. If only he knew. Ethra leaned down and picked up her black book, slowly turning towards the shop instead of reading again. If only he knew, that he was only one of three people to know her true name<<
>>You could stick a knife ANYWHERE...thats what made it so great. Still liked guns better though<< Sorry lady, I'm not that kind of guy. I'm no ones bodygaurd. >>Unless he was ordered to be one by the cheif, but such cases were rare since he hated them so much. That and he was fired now<<

Sadly Magdalena had no idea about the 'wonderful hiding of knives' so she most likely just would dismiss that he had even said that. Instead she huffed, arms still crossed, watching him simply walked ahead of her, practically acting like she wasn't even here.
"Like you'd make a good one anyway..." She pouted again. "You sure know how to kill a girl's good mood."

Protecting is about having a good time. Its about making sure you are kept alive. >>he corrected, exiting the forest. He sighed and shook his head<< You're not going to leave me alone anytime soon are you?

He was blowing her off again wasn't he? It was getting actually depressing. She continued to pout. "Do you want me to leave that badly?" Had her ears not been so long and floopy, they would have visibly drooped. She sighed, this was just not a good day for her.
