Ace watched as they all argued with one another. Now that he had been studying Pyro, it had now seemed like he was not al that bad. Telling by the way he had spoke, Pyro was just as lost as Katherine had been.
"I guess that he can come out of this forest with us. . . ." Ace muttered quietly to Jessica and Katherine. "But mabey we shouldn't teleport right away," he added, thinking he should get to know more about Pyro before leaving the forest instantly.

"If you trust people too easily then you're going to end up hurt." Jessica muttered in reply to Ace's comment. She still didn't trust Ace herself, but hey if something happened she would force Ace to be the one to fight Pyro instead of herself.
Turning to look back at Pyro, Jessica studied him for a moment with her bright blue eyes before finally speaking. "Fine." She announced, with that I-can't-believe-I'm-saying-this attitude apparent in her usual soft silky voice. "You can come with us on our way out of the forest." She explained to him before threatening. "You better not pull any tricks fire boy or you'll be sorry."

Ace felt somewhat relieved. It had felt wierd for him, being with only girls over the passed few hours. A guy was finally about to join them.
"Don't worry," Ace assured Jessica, noticing how careful she was with Pyro, "If he does attack, it'll be three on one."
Ace looked back at Pyro, noticing him still chewing gum.
"Okay, we are going to walk our way out, just to be sure that you won't attack Koi High," he told him, thinking if he should trust him.

Pyro chuckled. he looked up at Ace. "why would i attack the school that im living at?" he asked with a smile. he looked at the fire and spit his gum into it. he stood up and looked at the group.he put his hand in his hair on the back of his head. "it is fun to burn things, but its still dangerous. hey, do you guys want to see something cool?" he put his other hand into his shirt and pulled out his pendant. his pendant seemed to be glowing faintly.to Pyro, that ment that the two fire demons wanted out.without an answer,a bright white light emitted from his body, when it went away, instead was standing there was Balder, the fire demon. he looked around and at the others. "been trapped in a pendant for a few years and you end up in a place like this." his voice was deeper and rougher than Pyro's. then he looked at the three people. "i take it you all weren't expecting that." he chuckled with amusement.

Jessica stood there, no clear expression able to be detected on her face. She was not afraid of the demon that stood in front of her for she had been faced with much more terrisome beings. "You're not coming with us." Jessica said boldly, still standing there with her arms hanging loosely by her side and her blue eyes steadfast on the demon. "I'm not traveling with a demon." She then added, turning away from the others before she began to walk away.
Even after escaping the Alliance Jessica still held a grudge against all sort of demons, those of darkness being the worse.

Ace stared at the demon that was now standing before him. After Jessica finished talking to the demon, he quickly agreed with her.
"Er-" he started to say, but words seemed to be choking inside him. The demon had caught him by suprise, so without saying anything to it, he stayed close behind Jessica and Katherine.
It was not an explainable feeling to Ace. Only once had he seen a demon, which gave him his powers to control minds, and that was a terrifying experience for him, on a count of he was only twelve when it had happened. Now he was eighteen, and still feared the sight, smell, and sound of demons.

Balder shrugged like he was expecting that. "like i care. ill just burn down the trees until i can get out of here." the flames on his body were flickering and dancing like a dancer. Balder jumped up and lept over the three. when he landed on his two feet, he kept walking, charring the grass. he put his hands out and a huge flamethrower-like amout of flame came out. it burned all the trees in its path, until there was one long line of ash back to the school. Balder smiled wickedly and walked down the path, kicking up ash as he did so. "god i love my powers." he said as he walked down the path.he walked back to the dorms, a bright lite came from him after he left the forest and Pyro was back, he just kept walking back to his dorm.((exit))

"What the heck?! I don't give a damn if he's some demon that gives him no right just to burn things! It's his fault he got here in the first place." Katherine spat, glaring at the direction he was walking in. She kept mutterine things like 'no self control' and 'at least I use my powers for good'.

Ace turned around as he watched Pyro leave.
"Well, that was sort of random," Ace told the two girls and then laughed. He stared at the burning trail that Pyro had left.
"If we follow that trail, we should be out shortly,"

"That was odd and uncalled for." Jessica pointed out, continuing to stand there , staring at the path that the 'fire boy' had left behind. The stench of smoke had overtaken the scent of the forest, getting to the point where Jessica couldn't help but let out a few raspy coughs. Covering her mouth with her hand as she continued to cough, Jessica proceeded to observe their surroundings once more noticing that the flames seemed to begin to lick more and more trees. If they didn't leave soon enough then they would be caught in a full fledge forest fire.
Deja vu.
What was it will Jessica and being in forest fires?
"We might want to try another way..." Transportation. Right. She had forgotten about that nifty ability she obtained. However, a frown soon crossed her lips when she remembered that she had never attempted to teleport more than two people at a time before, and learning a new trick would be a stupid thing to do considering that there was indeed a fire nearby. "I can't telelport all of us..."

"What? You can't?" She asked surprised. "I guess I would never really know, I was usually the only one who teleported with you." Katherine added, thinking of how they would just leave Carter suddenly, he was such a confused little boy. "Could you take one of us then come back for the other?" She suggested, thinking it was a good idea.

"Oo good idea!" Jessica exclaimed, happily, smiling at her friend. "Um.. who first? I'm guessing you don't want to be left alone in the forest again, Katherine... right?"

Ace found this idea fine, only it would have been cowardly having to be transported out of a forest by a girl. And he hated it when someone thought of him as a coward.
"You can transport with Katherine. I-I think I'll walk my way out."
Ace was fully aware that it would have been dangerous, but he did not want to go back to the school looking like a weakling that's getting help from a girl.

Jessica crossed her arms, looking at Ace with that all-too-familiar glare she had given him at almost every moment upon their initial meeting. "He's being egotistical." Jessica pointed out. "He doesn't want to be 'saved' by me." She added, her tone being more cold. "What? Does that not impress girls?"
This isn't the time... She then told herself, in attempt to calm herself down. Stay here long enough and we'll all get hurt.
