Aurora flattened her ears as best she could so that Isaran could slip on teh necklace. When it was on it came to rest about an inch and a half done her neck. As it settled in, her fur began to cover the necklace and partially concealed the gem as well. Aurora sallowed a few times and mover her head about. "So that's what it feels like to wear a collar. It's not to tight; however I don't think it's going to come back off either,"Aurora said twisting her head to the side and back. "It'll do. Thank you," she said with a smile.

"Need what we can get," said Isaran, somewhat trying to play off the thanks. He pulled out a very strange-looking nut.
"What is that...some kind of nut?"
"Yes. A nut which, according to some ancient texts, increases the magical capacity...the amount of magic one can use in a day...of the consumer. For whatever reason, it seems that the nuts exist, but nobody's ever managed to find that kind of plant."
"So you want me to eat it?"
"Yes. It probably doesn't taste that bad..."
Raerin scooped the nut in his mouth and bit it with his teeth, which immediately crushed it to pieces. He then swallowed it. "It's not that bad, I guess," he said. "The texts or whatever may be right...I feel a little different somehow..."

Jade smiled as she hoped up onto Azriel's back. "I'm bored." she stated simply. Sure she didn't mind sitting around for a bit as everyone else did something, but now she was starting to feel a bit restless.

Azriel chuckles a little "Ok hold on" He says to his little friend and starts to buck about like a horse.

((I'm going to introduce my new character in the next few posts. Since I have two characters, I'm going to be using colors.))
Kalic limped towards a house. He smelled food there and the boy was hungry after fighting off one feral. The feral had been strong and Kalic was hurt badly. His leg hurt a lot and his arm was a bit bloody. When he got near the house, he looked at all the bodies of dead ferals. I wonder what happened.... I won't let myself end up like that... Better not use the door. Kalic limped over to a low window and peeked it.
Voila leaned back against the wall. She was bored, but it was nice to have sometime away from any chaotic events.

"We're better off resting for just a short while more, to heal the wounds as much as possible," said Isaran, pulling out military rations and several curative aids from the remainder of the bags, as well as a few odd knick-knacks reputed to be magical by various texts.
"That's good...I might take a nap," said Raerin, jumping off the table again.

Voila nodded and looked down at her arm. "Yeah that would be great. I could do with a bit more rest." She ran a hand through her feathers before walking over to a chair and sitting down.
Kalic didn't see anybody or much of anything. He was looking into a bedroom. Kalic grabbed a rock off the ground and broke the window with it. Then he quickly hoisted himself up and into the room.

Azriel hears the crash and sets Jade down "Stay here hun." He picks up his blade in his mouth and walks into the bedroom were the sound came from. He stood in the doorway looking at Kalic threatiningly. His posture was purly defencive, he growled "Leave us alone." knowing that if it was a feral it wouldn't understand.

Raerin heard the crash as well, his fur bristled and then he ran over to where it was about a second ahead of Azriel (who took longer because of getting his knives). He bent down and growled very low, only a mildly threatening gesture.
"Leave those two to it," said Isaran, verbally restraining the rest of them. If the intruder wasn't a feral (which was likely, considering most wouldn't bother with the window), he or she would at least notice something odd about a cat and a dog working together.

((Basically all you missed was Isaran giving everyone a few more goodies after your characters and now Kalic has broken a window and Raerin and Azriel went to investigate.))

Aurora was about to jump into action when Isaran spoke. She stood at the door way of the kitchen growling. She knew that she couldn't help much because of her bad leg, but she kept growling hoping that the sound of more growls would scare off the intruder.

Voila stopped herself from going when she heard Isaran speak. She watched the door, waiting for movements. A feral wouldn't attack already, would they?
Kalic glared at the two. He looked at Azriel. "Why should I? I'm looking for food and I thought that there might be some here." He was a bit surprised that they could speak and it felt good to hear another voice.

"Oh," said Raerin, straightening to a more normal posture. "Sorry, thought you might have been a feral..and we've had enough trouble with those..."
"C'mon, there's food in the kitchen!" He started running off toward the kitchen, then realized what he was doing and ran back and walked.

Azriel lowered his head, his ears perking as he hears the new creature speak. He doesn't say anything but turns and walks back to everyone sitting by Jade again.
