Kibo sighs again, not wanting to say what he was about to say, but feeling that it was his duty to.
Kibo: Would you like to speak to them again? It's not that hard for me to conjure specific spirits. But sometimes it causes more trouble than it solves. So, would you, or not?

"i would kill you if you did. they despised pirates when they were alive and were murdered by pirates. it would be outcast by them for becoming one"

Kibo: Okay. Not exactly the "trouble" I was talking about, but trouble nonetheless.
A spirit runs up to him, carrying several large barrels of rum. Kibo points across the water to the ship, and the spirit nods, running to the shore, and across the water's surface.

"i have the mental scars of watching them die as well as..." she lifts her top just enough to show a long scar running horizontally across her stomach. "...this."

Kibo: Ouch. That must have been painful. But you're apparently a pretty good swordfighter, considering that's the only scar there.

"at the age of 12 there wasn't much i could do when faced, unarmed, by a fully grown pirate with a sword. i taught myself to swordfight after that, i was determined to kill any pirate that crossed my path. little did i know that i was to become one." she lowers her top, covering the scar again and smiles.

Two more spirits run past, carrying barrels of rum and other liquor.
Kibo: Destiny's funny like that, isn't it?

"it is indeed." she grins. "if my parents were still alive i'd be either married or engaged to some snobby important person with a rod shoved firmly up their backside" she laughs "i'm now thought to be dead as i ran, wounded, and boarded the first ship i could find as soon as my parents died."

Kibo laughs as Natasha describes her would-be husband.
Kibo: And that's how you ended up at Tortuga?

"well, that was the first time i ended up in Tortuga. I was petrified at first, being on an island full of pirates when my parents had been killed by one. it's now more like home to me"
