*Tavin appeared in front of Cora, kneling down to make certain that she was okay*
Miss Cora.... Are you alright? I... I can't believe it... He's gone insane it seems..... A whole lot has definately happened since I left....
*Tavin turned to see Tacitus dodging to the side*
Please stay close to me, Miss Cora. I don't want you to get hurt.

*Tavin stopped to think*
Officer. Is it not a Captains sworn duty to protect his crew? And are you NOT under my authority by being here in MY Brink? You WILL follow my orders, is that clear?
((Mal, shall I put Tacitus out of commision for a bit, or are you okay with playing him? I can put him out of the story in a way Tac won't mind, I promise you that smile ))

But....
:::She bit her lip. Far be it from her to question an order...though she hated to think he came for her, and would cause so much trouble for everone else:::
::she sucked it up:::
Yes sir...
:::still it felt good to take orders:::

((Tac's busy and I didn't get the information. Don't game his character out of things, we need him to shoot up Malazar. xp ))
The old man takes off running. He had done all he could for the two on the floor and hopefully the shots would slow the monster and his massive gun down for long enough for him to switch to heavier ammo. He continues spraying Tacitus' hide as he runs, aiming for the chest and head. The extended clip finally runs dry and drops from the bottom of the Uzi. Malazar dives over the bartop and prays to god that this bar, like so many other bars in so many other inter-dimensional taverns, this one was a lot stronger than just wood. Of course, this place wasn't like any other he had been to before, he thinks as he hits the ground behind cover and rolls.

((I mean, who takes 45 minutes to write a goddamed email.))
((feh, you could have done something. Anyway, whatevah, as long as he can come back later because I wanted to either start or end his salvation here.))
*Tac lets out a roar that would shake any mere mortal man to the very soul as the bullets lodged in his hide are forced out, blood trailing down across his body, quickly replaced by a noxious black ooze. The weapon he holds clicks and hums briefly for a moment before he swings it around in front of him and makes a sweep through the bar. The weapon produces a whir as the barrels spin and a mechanical reloading sound accompanied by a small thunderclap as the 2mm projectiles fire forth at extremely high velocities. Tac seems to keep his arm steady and it looks as if he tries his hardest to not hit Cora while still aiming for Malazar and Tavin as he started to dash towards the darkness.*

*Tavin furrows his brows as Tacitus begins shooting. He glances over at the old man, but stays in front of Cora, too worried about what she would do if he tried to assist Malazar. As the bullets rip towards him he flashes in a furious blur of motion, frantically picking each bullet out of the air as if they were standing still*
Officer Cora, are you hit?
*Tavin drops the bullets to the floor and cracks his knuckles ready to charge to the offensive*

His bullets don't penetrate me, Captian...don't worry. I'm not so sure about Malazar though.

"So, Tavin, I see that your abilities here are quite superb. Grabbing 2mm mercury slugs from the air at speeds nearing mach 2. I must say, I am impressed. I must say though, A bit of a disadvantage I have found myself. You are lord and master here, a level play field it is not. What say you to a fight on neutral terms? Even all the three of you if you wish it. But if I am to claim my prize, wouldn't one think I should have it on a level playing field? Perhaps the prize can select what time in which she wishes you to die. My world or yours would be unsuitable, for we know them. Come my dear Cora, shall we find a world in which the old man and Tavin can die so that you may learn?"
*Beneath his de-evolved features there seemed to be a slight smirk as he knew that one way or another, this would incite some...interesting responces.*

:::Cora darted past the arms of Tavin, but she kept her distance:::
Officer Tac stop this! There is more to life than becoming one more selfless sacrifice...let this stop now. For Torment...please stop!
:::She repremanded him, without hate in her eyes, but with concern and pity:::
((OMG I can't believe you used the lyrics! You really do heart me!))

*Tavin appeared an inch in front of Tacitus, his eyes flaming red. He hisses as he speaks, rage apparent in his voice*
Tacitus.... Or whatever you REALLY are, know this. In here you have no dominion. In the outside I have none. What goes on outside is not of my concern. I can't control the fate of everyone. But in here, you will answer to me. I do not plan on running of with you in some duel. You obviously paint me to be more heroic than I really am. Begone before I am forced to take matters into my own hands.... Right here, and right now.

"I answer to no man. Outside of this place, I am a God. You sir, you are no hero, and as such I have never marked you as one. Tell me, I know you have sinned, for I can smell it upon you without even knowing your past, tell me how much you enjoyed sinning. Don't give me psychological mumbo jumbo s**t, but your base instincts and urges. Deep down everyone strives to sin. I am merely alive while the rest of you are dead. I tried to save Cora, but no longer. I will leave right here, right now, but only if Cora tells me to leave, not you."
*He leans over a bit to look at Cora as he continues.*
"Do you want me to leave Cora? Or do you still think you can save me?"

:::Sorrow filled Cora's eyes. She let go of her hate long ago. She realized that she could not fight fire with fire this time...:::
:::She looked to her Captain, hoping he knew what she had to do. I cannot let him go somewhere else only to cause more death and chaos...not if I have a chance:::
:::Cora stepped forward:::
I will not submit to your will. You know this, you have seen it, and I do not believe you are a fool to forget it. You know there is no hate for you in my heart. But if there is even a thread of love or respect or need for me in yours....
:::she walked closer. Dangerously close. No doubt in her, only hope. Inside she spoke. God, if you have not forgotten people like me, I need your help. She'd never prayed before...but then again, Cora never did or knew many things before she came here::::
:::She reached out her hand to Tacitus:::
Forgive yourself...I forgive you.

"Tavin, if you're so high and mighty here loosing the anti-magic a bit on my area so I can get into my pockets would be very very helpful."
The old man sounds okay, just a bit irked. His voice growls out from behind the bar, amid the clicking of glass.
