He felt himself growing nauseous as Kenjin continued talking. Great...all of this was going to make it that much worse. He had already known that Destiny didn't love him, but hearing it stated for the first time was like a dagger shooting through his heart. He shook his head to the offer of hot chocolate. "Thank you, but I don't think it'll make me feel any better. If anything, it'll make me feel worse." He brushed a little bit of hair away from his face before looking up at Kenjin. "...Have you seen Dawn lately?" he asked, thinking that Kenjin was being much too nice if he already knew what Kaiden had...had done.

Rio shrugged. "My mom let me do what I wanted. I really don't think she wanted to raise me because of how i came to be. But she still tried her best." He sat in the grass and some fireflies got scared up. "Atleast it never rains here."

Kenjin frowned more his eye brow arched. "Not since the ball and that was a week ago..." He said softly, his tone a bit worried. "Why? Has she gone missing too? I don't know what happened after my little episode with Dassan... I just came home with my new family..."

Catriona's brow furrowed softly, though not entirely out of pity. She took a few steps closer to Rio, cocking her head to the right. "Do you wish she had been more strict?" she asked, before she realized that he might think that she was staring at him. She blinked before transferring her gaze to the sky once again and lifting her staff a little. She turned it softly this way and that, a few stars following where she beckoned them. They were beginning to take a shape, though it was still unsure what.
Kaiden hopped up to his feet as soon as he asked if she had gone missing. "No, no, I...I just saw her not too long ago, in fact." He gulped once again, though he was sure that his nervousness was showing on his face. "That's why I...I-I just..." He stammered, completely unsure on what he should tell Kenjin. After a moment, he gulped one last time. "Something happened to the both of us at the ball. I have no idea what, but...suddenly, with my heart broken, I wanted nothing more than to get out my frustrations, get out what had been building up inside of me during the course of the ball..."

"Do you wish she had been more strict?" she asked, before she realized that he might think that she was staring at him. "Nah..." Said rio. "It was a good childhood. And mom was the best, she taught me to be good even though i made her life hell."

As soon as Kenjin had been tugged away, Kaiden had followed rather reluctantly behind. However, when he heard Kenjin yell for assistance, he picked up the pace. He had reached his side when Kenjin flipped Dawn open, and then froze. His face grew pale, and his own shimmers dulled a bit. ...Gods, Dawn, what have you done to yourself? he thought. He was frozen until Kenjin said his name, and then he crouched down and lifted Dawn fully into his arms. "Lead me to where you want her." he said seriously, unable to take his eyes off of Dawn's dull face.
Catriona nodded softly before she finished dashing stars here and there. There was a faint shimmering outline of a panther, one that shifted to a pale blue color like her hair. A panther was her favorite animal, after all, and she had never seen one in the sky. She felt that one deserved to be up there. She smiled a little before looking down at Rio again. "Do you wish you could do anything differently in your childhood?"

Rio nodded. "I wish i could go back and not be such a brat to everyone." he said grinning when he saw the panther in the sky. "That's my favorite animal.." he said.

"Really?" Cat said when he remarked about the animal, grinning widely at him as she nudged a lock of hair behind her ear with the tip of her staff. "It's mine too. I can't get enough about learning about them." She looked up at it again, resting her staff on her shoulder. "They're such beautiful creatures. I doubt there's anything lovelier than them."

Kaiden laid her feet on the bed before slipping a bit into the background. What had happened? What was going on? He looked up at Kenjin when he asked where Severus was. How does he know Severus? he thought with a furrowed brow before shaking his head. "No...hold on, I'll go and call him." He slipped out of the house and shot a wave of shimmer energy quickly into the air. As it flew up into the sky, it formed the shape of a large dragon, hovered high in the sky for a minute, and shot towards the Darsuin Mountains. Meanwhile, Kaiden had slipped back inside. "He should be here soon." He hesitated, looking down at Dawn. "...Do you know what's wrong with her?"

"No... that's why I wanted you to call Severus..." Kenjin said he then sat down in the chair he had next to the bed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I wish I knew what was wrong." He then stood up. "Stay with Dawn until Severus arrives, if she wakes up ask her what happened to her, I have to go find Twilight." Before he allowed Kaiden to answer he was already out of the house and off into the air.
Dawn gave a gentle groan, as she turned her head from side to side, squeezing her eyes shut before relaxing her face all together. She suddenly opened her mouth. "Kai...den..."

Kaiden had grown a bit antsy as soon as Kenjin left, and looked towards the door to wait for Severus. At the sound of Dawn's voice he nearly leaped out of his skin. He looked over his shoulder at Dawn and blinked a few times before he slowly drew closer to the bedside. "Yes? What's wrong?" he asked softly, though he kept his hands clasped behind his back.

"I used to make shadows of them to play with when noone else would." Said Rio. "They always faded away but they were the closest things to friends i had."
