Beldum loooked around happily. When he noticed the hand coming near his body, he gently pushed into it, as if greeting it. He then looked down at the blond haired girl, and deciding to make himself known, gently nudged her in the back.
"Oh, okay." Ryka told Jaeshan as he ran off. "Hey Beldum, do you want to.." She started to say, before she realized that Beldum wasn't there. "Beldum?" She asked, looking around. She saw, right behind the egg booth, a field. Her Beldum was hovering just above two trainers. She sighed and ran over. "Beldum!" She scolded, stopping right next to the two trainers. "I'm sorry if my Beldum caused any troub-" She stopped when the two trainers looked at her. "Kassie?! Keegan!?"

"Hmm? Ryka? Is that you?" Kasiya turned around at the sound of a familiar voice, the Beldum forgotten. The metallic Pokemon made a noise at being ignored, nudging Kasiya in the back. "Did you say Beldum?" she asked, turning around to avoid being prodded again. "Is this your Pokemon?"

"What?" Keegan gasped, feeling a touch of warm metal against his fingers. He let out a yelp, falling over backwards as he now saw the Beldum floating over near Kasiya. "A Beldum?!" he asked incredulously. "I can't believe it!"

((Or I could just not allow them to grow levels. I'm fine without confusion and pursuit. As long as they evolve before level 30.))
"Speedy little devil isn't he Sun?" Mag said to his pokemon. "Okay get in there and hit it with a Tackle!" Sunfire dashed at the pokemon. This time it ran right back using its tackle. The two collided. Sunfire because of his size did slightly more damage.
The Eevee rushed back and charged in for another Tackle. "Sand Attack!" Mag shouted. The Eevee blazed in and ran through the sand. His attack connected with Sunfire who cringed a little.
"Better use Wish. Then go in with a Tackle again!" Mag shouted trying to be careful.

Yet another boundary presented itself. Mike couldn't attack without hurting Ivy, and the Heracross was moments away from taking Proton out.
Too late.
The enemy Pokemon burst from the ground and smashed his body into the Magneton. It gave a labored cry and collapsed on the ground, screws and bolts flying all over the place.
Mike recalled his Pokemon and motioned for Nitro to make the next move. "Flamethrower!" He shouted as Nitro ran forward, expelling scorching hot flames at the Heracross.
The bug Pokemon took a major blow, staggering back, he couldn't take another hit like that. Confused and a little nervous, the boy hastily ordered his Pokemon to Horn Attack Ivy. He hobbled over and sliced the Ivysaur's side rather weakly.

Mitsu grinned. "Take 'em out Ivy!" Mitsu instructed pointing to the Heracross.
He winced slightly from the Horn Attack. He has recovered from the Giga Drain anyhow. He lifted the Vaporeon with his vines still attached to it with some effort. "Thanks for the Flamethrower Mike!" Mitsu said seeing as it slowed down the beetle Pokemon.
A moment later he brought it down on the already weak Heracross. He suffered a bit of recoil damage from being connect to the Vaporeon.
The ice melted and Ivy hopped away. "Synthsis!" Mitsu instructed seeing Ivy a bit tired. He absored some energy and was recovered in no time.

Sunfire focused for a second and then dashed toward the Eevee. It stood its ground and kicked up sand at Sunfire as Mag had. Wow. This is a smart Eevee. Sufire quickly moved aside from the attack. He pulled back his head and let out several small fireballs from his mouth.
"Sunfire!!! Was that an Ember? Sweet!" Mag said. The flames quickly reached their target and scorched it a little. The Eevee continued the fight with another semi-useless Tackle attack. Sunfire took the blow and repelled the Eevee a few feet.
"Try another Ember!" Mag shouted to his pokemon.

Black smoke poured out Nitro's nostrils, that last fire attack was a doozy, but he had enough juice for one more. He gave a thumbs up, Mike ordering another Flamethrower.
Heracross crumbled under the intense heat, The boy fuming. "That was my last Pokemon you loser!" He stomped on the ground, looking over at his girlfriend. "Come on honey, take them out!" He said between gritted teeth.

"Let's finish it Ivy! Razor Leaf!" Mitsu said already seeing the victory in thier grasp. The razor shap leaves hit the Pokemon immeadiatly KOing it. Mitsu smirked. "Looks like we win! Go find another fountain!" Mitsu said, a smug look on her face.
"Hmph! You an your boyfriend are SO rude!" she yelled pointing an acusing finger at the duo. "Mike's not my boyfriend," she muttered. It was getting old and she wonder why he hadn't objected either. The girl was about ready to stomp off the way she had come.

"Well, that was magnificent as always, but I gotta go get these bad boys healed!" With that he dashed off to the Pokemon Center, recalling all his Pokemon before they could even react. The crowd was thankfully sparse on the way so he didn't have to push people over. Mike slid through the door of the Pokemon Center nearly throwing his Pokemon at Nurse Joy.
"Sorry for the rudeness, I just feel something is off." He trailed off, falling back on the couch.

"Well that was odd." Mitsu said watching her friend dash off. "You ok Ivy?" Mitsu asked. The Pokemon nodded, but she recalled him anyways. She walked into the Pokemon Center and handed all of her Pokemon over, Karri included. "Something's off?" she wondered to Mike.

Jaeshan stomped towards the restrooms, after finding some directions, completed his business before setting out again. He trudged along with his hands in his pockets, not making eye contact with anyone. He did look up when he was suddenly nearly knocked over, but the boy who went rushing past him didn't seem to notice. At a second glance, Jaeshan realized it was Mike.
"Where's he off to in such a rush?" he asked no one in particular, deciding to follow. He arrived at the Pokemon Center a few seconds later, and entered in time to see Mike slump onto the couch, looking a bit worried. Mitsu was there too.
"What's wrong, Casanova?" Jaeshan asked, putting Bagon's Pokeball in queue for treatment, waving to Mitsu and then sitting down next to him.

Kilik looked at Koga and his Crobat. It stared down to Flareon, as if it were better. Of course, the boy thought, it probably is. "All right, Flareon!" he pointed at the Crobat, "let's hit it! Ember!" Small fireballs shot from Flareon's mouth three times.
"Crobat!" Koga made a symbol with his hands, "Dodge it and attack with Wing Attack!" Crobat maneuvered past the three fire balls and flew downward, flapping its wings quickly. Flareon took the attack dead in the middle of its head. Stumbling, the Fire-Pokemon stood back up.
"Attack with Ember! One more time!" Flareon attacked again, fire shooting from its body. Crobat was too close to have time to dodge, flying in circles.
"Crobat...attack with your Leech Life!" Kilik shut his eyes.
"FLAREON! Wait until its close enough..." the bat Pokemon was merely inches from the fox before...
"GO! Ember it now!" Fire struck Crobat's eyes, sending it the few inches to the ground. Koga took a step back.
"Crobat!?" Koga looked at the bat Pokemon. An attack that close really dealt the damage to it. Koga sighed and called back his Pokemon. The Gym Leader approached Kilik. "You've won. And..." he held out his hand to shake the boy's.
"Sir, I...I don't under--"
"You won because you and Flareon battled as one. Battling as one with your Pokemon is something few trainers feel now," he sighed, "There was one boy. He had a Pikachu. He battled with his heart, alongside is Charmeleon." Kilik shook his hand.
"It was Flareon who did the work..."
"You trained that Flareon." He released Kilik's hand and turned his back, "You may leave, apprentice." Kilik nodded and looked at his hand. A pink, heartshaped piece of metal rested in his hand.
The Soul Badge?! He thought. He placed it into his bag and turned to leave.

"Yeah, but don't worry about it." Mike attempted to disarm the situation by forcing a smile out. "I get in these little funks sometimes, it's nothing." He leaned back and sighed, the couch was really comfy. The sounds of the festival could be heard through the window, a match was one of them.

"If you insist," Mitsu said taking a seat next to him. She really didn't want to push the situtation, whatever it was.
She waved back to Jaeshan. "I thought you were with Ryka?" she asked him with a puzzled look.
