I officially hate Microsoft again.
My loathing of them was quelled when I recieved my X-box some two years ago. It was a decent system, with some decent games. I refered to it as the "Console for people who can't afford a new computer". This because often, titles released on PC would then be ported to the 'Box.
And for a time, it was good.
Until yesterday, when I got the dreaded "Christmas Lights". The little green ring of light around the eject button began flashing RED as well. Now, as we all know, when something is flashing red, it's usually a bad thing. In the case of the X-Box, this indicates a HARDWARE FAILURE.
So, I called the customer support line, and the informed me that the only thing to be done now would be to send it in and get a replacement unit. Of course, this isn't free. It's $119 Canadian to get the new unit. Less that what was paid for the unit in the first place, but still awful expensive.
"But Phil, I thought you liked your X-Box," people said. Not when it costs me over one hundred dollars to fix, came the reply. So, what is the Phil to do? The Phil is going to take that 120 dollars, and buy himself a refurbished PS2 WITH a game from the nearby EBGames. Almost every person I know owns a PS2, so it will be easy to aquire games. As long as my parents agree to it.
So now, I've reverted to my natural state of two years prior. A self-hating Windows user. Next computer I buy will be a Mac, though.

Wow, in American money (don't hate me!) that's almost a hundred dollars. I didn't even know that microsoft built that in to the x-box. I am impressed. But then again on the other hand, that means they were probably expecting this to happen.
P.S. Your name is Phil?

Sith Lord Darth Moren I love the BESM system. As I told you guys earlier, my friend Jason is running a campaign using the BESM system. You know, the castle from hell? Anyways, we did character creation today, and my character is absurdly powerful. Probably the strongest out of everyone's. 24 strength. Becomes stronger when drunk. Fires an energy beam that deals 2d8+9 points of damage (average person has about 4 hp). Can control paper in a manner similar to Yomiko from Read Or Die. Can perform limited alchemy (1 lb of material at once). This includes turning water to wine, or in his case, sake. He's got an unholy love of shiny things, and flies into a rage when he loses shiny things, or upon hearing the words "pork chop zombies" Yeah, I'm insane. And for the record, this is all done a first level. Can you imagine what happens when he gets stronger? Heheh, I keep forgetting how powerful that is for an average campaign. Me and my freinds got bored with the system after a while so we started boosting it up untill we were ubserdly strong. Then when we played a regular campaign again we felt week and insignifcant the whole damn game. rofl

That sucks Sith. I've had my x-box a little over five years, I think thats how long it's been since those suckers came out or w/e. Haven't had trouble with it...well other then the cd tray door opening only when theres a cd in it or if i hit the door with my finger. No flashing red lights or nothing. I should have it checked out just incase though since I have a s**t load of music on it that I've long since lost the cds.

At least I'll have Melty Blood by tomorrow evening. That oughta cheer me up.
For those of you that don't know, Melty Blood is a fighting game by TYPE-MOON. An extremely well made fighting game.

I'm guessing it's a japanees game. From where I live in America we only get Final fantasy games, tekken and streetfighter, and the various anime nockoff games. Though we actualy get quite a few of the good classics turned sour like a new megaman game once a month or sonic but slow.

No, I just wish we got more games from other countries. Not just Japan I heard that Birtain has some great games to; they are the makers of Fable and Black&White after all. We do import some of them but alot of times the ones we do import don't get commercials and we never see them on the shelves.

Ah, I see. Come to think of it, I don't even remember what I meant by that, it just happened to catch me in a weird mood. o_0
And yeah, there's nothing wrong with more games from other countries. I'm not a hard-core gamers myself, but I can see where you're coming from. I'm personally waiting for the new Sonic game (for PS3 I think), cuz all the ones since Sonic Adverture 1 and 2 have pretty much sucked big-time. And yes, I still have my Dreamcast...

I believe I PM'ed you the last time you asked a few weeks ago. Just skim the most recent three pages or so and you should have a decent grasp of what's going on.
And please, if you really do decide to come back, which account you're gonna are you going to use because I can't change the roster every five minutes. Not to mention, it's unfair to the rest of us.
