Takao was relieved to see Shion was still okay. He wasn't sure about how her bijuu were doing, but she seemed to know everything about being a jinchuuriki and he wanted to talk about the corruption he'd experienced earlier. However, he found himself tongue-tied as she asked Kagerou, "did he make it out?" His brow furrowed. He looked around, but it became clear who she was talking about. "Out of what? Did the Jashinists do the bad chakra pulse on him too? Kosei can help, he pulled me out of the corruption." Takao thought his suggestion was helpful, concerned about the Jashinists having tendrils of control over himself and the others who were sworn to protect the village - but could very well destroy it if they lost control of themselves and their demons.

KAITO
Kaito arrived at the Spire with Avalanche in tow. It didn't occur to him until he saw Captain Kos- er, the lightning lord Kenshin that it might not have been a good idea for the wanted vigilante to make such a public appearance. However, there were surely bigger fish to fry and the Sannin wasn't police captain anymore so...
Kaito held back, on the outskirts of the room with everyone else. He counted off the advisors with Shion, Kagerou, and Kameyo, but he didn't see the Arashikage present. Perhaps he was readying some announcement for them or trying to get a location on the Jashinists that had just attacked. Kaito traced the burns that were still present on the palms of his hands from his fight at the temples with the heathens, awaiting orders before returning to the temples to clean up after the massacre. Much of his time would be spent restoring faith from the religious communities in the government of Arashigakure, he was sure.

A hand raising to her ear, the kite mistress pressed a finger against the small device in her ear. "Right away Kenshin! The Core has updates! The village has stopped descending and is now location over the ocean. The assailants seem to be a cult of Jashinist. According to the reports all encounters with the cult ended in defeat on our end. It's still unclear but reports are coming in that all our hosts werre compromised in some way, including the Arshikage. A detailed report will be given to you very soon as we gather all the information. The core also request the Arashikage is labled a threat until he is found and detained. It is the Core's belief that the village suddenly falling was not the doing of the assailants, but of the Arashikage himself."

Techs active • Sharingan lens: insight, Piercing and Hypnotism • Solo flight • Kamui right eye 1 out of five posts.
Techs Used • Activation 1 ▰ Brawler's Nature [ Buraurā no seishitsu ] | Rank A The user is able to determine precisely what the opponent's stats are. In addition, they may ignore all of the opponent's stats for four posts.
• Activation 2 ▰ Flying Thunder God Technique [ Hiraishin no Jutsu ] | Rank S+ | Restricted Allows the user to create on contact a seal. This seal can be on anything including a weapon. The user may instantly appear anywhere the seal is. It costs five chakra to make a seal and eighty chakra to transport oneself to any of the seal's locations. The act of making a seal for Hiraishin does not take an activation. Requires being a Scholar class specialist. Additionally, this jutsu may not benefit from cost reductions with the exception of the Uzumaki.
• Activation 3 ▰ Stretching Blade [ Kakuchō Tsrugi ] | Rank B | Spiritual (x2) The user imbues their blade with chakra, giving a significant boost to their already lengthy reach. When swinging the blade for the next five posts, the blade's length is extended by fifteen feet. The chakra blade retracts and shifts shape slightly when the user would end an attack or might clip themselves or an ally.
▰ Dismembering Slash | Rank S+ | Spiritual | Supplementary (x2) The user charges their blade with chakra, imbuing any bukijutsu slash with devastating chakra that allows the user's weapon to become coated in their chakra. This chakra interacts with any object the weapon impacts during a collision separate from the weapon attack itself, allowing the user's attack to often go unchallenged by defenses in general. Additionally, when used against an unarmored target his attack is treated as one rank higher.
▰ Devil Fang | Rank A | Training The user is able to pay the cost of a technique twice once every three posts. Rieyar was surprised to feel themselves picked up again by some other healing technique, only for Musica to whip herself into a flurry of action. Their head spun for a moment and they glanced curiously at the others as they attempted to catch their breath. The girl gave them no time to do so properly however, setting off nearly as soon as she managed to get to her feet. "P-please! That seems very dangerous!" Unlike Musica, Rieyar was not a font of energy. Their call was a weary one, but they followed nonetheless, as compelled to provide assistance as they had been when they wandered into a fight they had no place in. The medic was beginning to think that leaving Kumoito was a bad idea, as conflicting a thought as that was.
They arrived, still slightly out of breath, towards the end of the newly minted Jinchuriki's arrival on the scene. "Ah, Mr. Kenshin." The child muttered, thinking back to the samurai attack on the Pale Citadel. That had offered them a way to not take part in the fighting, as the two forces clashed in the field. Though the fight, and its aftermath, was hardly what could be called a pleasant experience to have born witness to. Rieyar had spent some time assisting afterwards, mostly focus on the samurai who were getting less attention - much to the chagrin of the rest of the fort's combat medics. The civilian could not say they were overly fond of the man or his mannerisms, and encountering him again here amidst chaos felt like the Hyuga was some sort of omen of ill tidings.
Shion's words came first, and at first, Kagerou's only answer was to smile in her direction, softly and uncertainly, yet also in some kinship in the emotions she could hear within Shion's words. Though she smiled steadily, with that tempered amiability so very unlike Shion's forwardness, she felt the same way Shion did.
However, she did not answer. As she had expected, Kenshin's voice piped out not a moment after Shion's. Eyes moving to Kenshin now, soft gaze made sharp steadily and unflinchingly. He demanded answers. Kagerou would provide at the pace she felt appropriate for all present. His words were not without merit. Naturally, nor were his intentions. He could rest assured that his chakra would not be the only one stopping Arashigakure's descent into the ocean, had the village still been descending.
Kameyo... Kagerou, not even once, looked in Kameyo's direction. Even when she spoke up with her own question, the psychiatrist's eyes remained steadily upon Kenshin's steely visage, unfaltering yet pliant. Though, that wasn't to say she paid the Jiongu no heed. No, out of all of those present, even more than Takao, Kameyo held the lion's share of Kagerou's thoughts and, therefore, her observations, even if it was only with the peripherals of her vision. Ashamed as she was for having been unable to do anything but watch Toso leave, she was equally, if not more, concerned for the well being of the wife left behind. Kameyo, a sensor medic, would be observant by trade alone. Kameyo must already know Toso wasn't here, and to see the wife of the man she failed look like a lost child only increased the weight of Kagerou's guilt.
Takao expressed confusion, and again, more questions about Toso. Once the operative that accompanied Kenshin spoke her report, it was from Kenshin to Takao that Kagerou turned, catching sight of Kaito approaching hesitantly with a friend in tow. Speaking amicably, voice floating lightly in the tension that could be cut with a butter knife, Kagerou gave the representative chosen by Toso to seek out a replacement Arashikage priority, "The Jashinists did lay their hands on Toso and performed some sort of technique through that brief moment of contact. I do not know if that could be the bad chakra pulse you speak of Takao. Toso reacted... with some extremity to the attack. In the case that the Jashinists have placed their chakra pulse on Toso, hopefully severing the point of contact will be sufficient in preventing the corruption from lingering." Eyes moved to Kenshin. "As it is, I do not think we will be able to arrange a meeting between Toso-sama and Lord Kosei." Then, she looked to Shion and, finally, Kameyo. Addressing Kameyo directly, Kagerou spoke, "Lady Kameyo, Toso-sama is alive, but has left. He has surrendered the position of Arashikage, as I am sure he has intended to do for a while. To where he has gone, I do not know. He cast a technique over himself that made his face difficult to recognize, and I... Did not feel it my place to interfere any further, nor that I would be able to, given the circumstances. My apologies, for being unable to do any more. I believe... he has not wanted to be Arashikage for a very, very long time now. Possibly ever since he first took on the mantle." Her fingers clenched the clothes she held, the uniform that was simultaneously symbolic and necessary of the position of Arashikage.
Eyes turned back to Kenshin, then considered Takao. She may have hesitated for two or more back and forths between the two faces had she not seen Kenshin fly into a temper not too long ago. Besides, regardless of her thoughts on the matter, she would need his approval to proceed any which way regarding the succession of the kage position. Settling her sights on Kenshin after glancing at Takao only once, Kagerou explained further, "There is no excuse that can be made for the state Arashigakure has been brought down to by the attack of a mere handful of terrorists. Our leadership, or at least those present in the village, were entangled in an episode of the Arashikage's that demanded their immediate attention, which in and of itself was brought forth due to a negligence of the surgeon general to perform the duties expected of her." A brief glance towards Shion to confirm if what had been said was about what happened. Returning to Arashigakure after being alerted by her own informants of Toso's mental breakdown and then seeing how the beginning of the fight between those in the Arashikage's office and the Jashinists had unfolded, Kagerou figured that this was probably how events had run their course.
Continuing, her voice still holding to its melodic tilt, the green haired kunoichi put forth her unasked for opinion, " The Arashikage has already abdicated his position, and what is more, he has left behind the suit that gave him control over this village's flight and protection. Lord Kenshin, you are still sannin of this village, and thus hold one of the highest authorities in the absence of the kage. I know of your code and your justice. However, please, at least for the time being, hold off on placing a bounty on Toso's head. Certainly, you must agree that we have more important matters to attend to, and placing a bounty now will only distract from such matters. Honesty is the best policy, but we should not encourage a hunt of our prior kage. If anything, that should be a choice for the following Arashikage to make." An opinion and a request, for the only reason why Kagerou would be so forward and try to make her thoughts matter would be for the sake of a friend.
She breathed a sigh through her smile. Worry, for Toso and her own handling of this current situation, permeated the air she exhaled. To play it on the safe side, she should end her words here. However, she could not bring herself to be so flippant as to leave matters half done.
As mere surgeon general, she had already spoken far out of turn. She'd continue speaking outside of her authority with her last few words, "And as for who the next Arashikage will be... I wonder if, perhaps, we should leave the choice of the next kage to the next generation. Arashigakure is not hte same as it was even only 10 years ago, and... quite conveniently, we have one in our midsts who has done plenty of research already in regards to selecting an appropriate kage candidate."

SHIONxxxxxMORI The room was filling and Shion suddenly found the air growing very, very thin. The gaggle of concerned advisors and gawking villagers seemed to have no end. As the air flooded with the deluge of ‘where is he’s and ‘what’s going on’s, the girl couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. Her head spun, spurred on by questions she could not answer herself, asked by the one person she could not be around right now. Why did you leave, Takao? The question lingered on her mind ever since he initially fled. The village was in danger, but it was filled to the brim with shinobi capable of defending it. Toso was right in front of them, and he just left. Was he afraid? Was this just some act of vengeance for being welcomed back to the village after he previously ran? Shion opened her mouth to answer his question, but all she could muster was a look of uncertainty; uncertainty over herself, the situation, him... uncertainty over a lot of things.
The look Kagerou gave her should have served to ease that concern, but it honestly only made things worse. The look signaled he was alive, but then why was he not among them? Was he ferried away to some secret Kage bunker guarded by giant, military spiders in the middle of the Mojave desert? Was he ‘alive,’ in the sense that... well, he’s not exactly dead, but he could be better?
Then Kenshin opened his mouth. Why did Kenshin always have to open his mouth? To say Shion took deep offense to the way he berated Toso was an understatement. To say she enjoyed watching him order her own subordinate and herself would be just stupid. While the two occupied the same level of authority within the walls of CORE, he DID outrank her in the end. Toso had chosen to make him a Sanin, making him in charge. Instead, he had chosen to make her an advisor. Actually, he had done worse than that; he’d made her a filler position. “Militant Advisor,” that was her title, yet on all matters concerning the military, Toso had chosen to consult with a self-proclaimed emperor of a foreign land three degrees removed from the goings on of Arashi.
Had he ever genuinely taken her advise to heart? Of course not; why even ask a stupid question like that. If the squid had listened to her, Arashi wouldn’t be a floating wreck, constantly on the defensive back foot. Shion locked eyes with Kenshin as he laid down his ultimatum. Her fists clenched, knuckles turning diamond white under the pressure. The last few sparks of chakra she could muster crackled into sparks around her fists. He wanted a name? He wanted to fight? Fine then. Shion would be more than happy to oblige.
Shion willed herself to take a fighting stance, ready to defend Toso’s honor, but something odd happened. Rather than jump headlong into a fight she knew she’d lose for the second time that day, Shion found herself reflexively waiting for Matatabi to step in to stop her. Of course, nothing would come of this; Matatabi was lying dormant within her, sucked clean by Takumi. This left Shion in precarious situation of being stuck with with her own thoughts... a situation that hadn’t happpened in... well, ever. All that anger, the feline aggression she constantly struggled to keep in check was gone. While she wasn’t certain if this would be temporary, she didnt know; all that mattered is she had a clear head... She could think, unclouded, and her mind told her that... dear gods, Kenshin was right.
Of course, she still took issue with him asserting his power over the election of the new kage. He was the strongest among them, everyone knew it. To lord that power until he got someone he could trust... or use... was just sickening. The sparks around her fists picked up again and, just as Shion was about to speak her mind, she was cut off by Kagerou easing the room once again.
She told her piece, of how Toso had stepped down and left the village. A wave of relief washed over the firebrand kunoichi as the fears that she’d lost her oldest friend quickly left her body.
Shion loosened up, relaxing her stance, if you could even call it that. The white caps of her fists melted, giving way to her slightly sunburned complexion. ”She’s right, Kenshin. I know you... had disagreements with Toso. We all did.He readily ignored all of our advise to carry out his own selfish dreams... but this once, he’s making the right call.” Shion darted her eyes back to Takao. The newly relieved space where rage had just previously occupied filled with rage was immediately filled by the anxiety she had briefly pushed to the background.
Will he make the right call? Could he even make that call? What if he elected someone out of some twisted ulterior motive? What if he was working with the jashinists? The slew of questions gripped the girl in a breath-restricting embrace. But then, she saw it in his eyes. That genuine concern for not just the village, but her. It was Takao... she had to trust him, if not for good, then just this once at least. ”Go ahead,” she said, nodding to the boy. ”He put that choice in your hands.”
Miyuki was so thankful to have Thresher's good spirits surround her as the two traveled to the Spire. She felt forgiven when she hadn't even asked for it yet. Perhaps Thresher was right - she'd never known the Hoshigaki to lie - and Miyuki hadn't failed her... though it was a bitter pill to swallow, that she hadn't put Saiko down where he stood after he downed Thresher. "I am so glad I have you," she confessed as they finally entered the room where all the other shinobi were. She missed most of the prior conversation but caught the militant advisor talk about a choice to Takao, the jinchuuriki she'd seen corrupted just earlier that day.
Takao cleared his throat, and Miyuki noted that he seemed mostly okay despite the strange chakra stuff that occurred earlier. "Toso had entrusted me to find a candidate for the next kage. I had taken it upon myself to question his advisors and other high-ranking shinobi in order to get a better perspective. Kagerou, herself, even ran me down a list of available ninja for the role after I heard many different philosophies surrounding the role of kage.
"But I am sorry to say that... that I had come today to tell Toso that I... I didn't know. I didn't have an answer. No one in this village is perfect. I guess that's kind of the point, huh? There's no one who can approach Arashigakure's mosaic of members from different backgrounds and previous allegiances. I didn't find anyone who could do all of the things everyone asked for - there may be one person who fits one advisor's philosophy, but no one who meets all of them. And it... I failed him. Toso. Because I understand just how difficult this burden of predecessor is but the thing is that no one stood out as having all of these qualities, though everyone had a few of them.
"Maybe there simply isn't a perfect leader, ever. But I couldn't narrow my personal bid beyond the ninja in this room." He didn't meet anyone's eyes, but he did let his eyes fall on Kagerou, Shion, Thresher, Miyuki, Kaito, Musica, and Kameyo. "Everyone in this room could bring something different but they would all try. I think what finally did us in, it sounds like, is that Toso got to a point where he couldn't try anymore.
"I hate to think I'm disrespecting Toso's wishes... but I can't make this decision. The ninja in this room are your choices." He looked to Kenshin and stuffed his hands in his pockets, feeling a little sick.
Miyuki's hand tightened around Thresher's as she held her girlfriend close. She felt anxious about the indecision, about the weight of the village hanging over all of their collective heads. Things felt so heavy in the room, so Miyuki offered a final thought to help cut the tension. "It's not about the one person, right? Who stands at the helm of the village doesn't matter as much as the counsel they choose and the people they listen to. All of the people in this room have fought and would continue to fight for the goodness of Arashi despite any differences in philosophy. We'll be okay. We'll be okay because we have to be. I don't think you failed the Arashikage. Not anymore than the rest of us for letting things get to this point." She offered a small smile that Takao instinctively returned.

Lilou’s eyes shot open when noticing the that the area was reconstructed, a touch of irritation bringing a frown to her face as she noticed it was NOT the same process that the Arashikage used to repair damage sustain, meaning Toso wasn’t the one helping. Her eyes and knowledge told her that these repairs should have brought the Leyline mechanisms into action, though the light sensation of butterflies in her stomach that came from the Villages worsening descent was all she needed to know that they were not doing there function. Lilou wasn’t knowledgeable enough to figure a way to force the devices into action, her thoughts interrupted by the sound of Musica accelerating to her feet like some sort of high performance sport car and not a person who’d narrowly escaped Bifurcation as well as bleeding to death, though she did look rather rattled whilst made sense. Lilous’ expression of surprise would quickly shift into a warm greeting smile as if to say “Welcome back,” Lilou hands moving in response to Musicas’ words of thanks, clearly indicating a return of the same sentiment.
Getting to her feet at that moment with an arm extended toward the younger girl, wanting to make sure Musica didn’t fall over but surprisingly the young genin managed to stay afloat without the aid. Following the indication given by miss Knote did Lilou turn her head, blinking at the spectacle of it reforming but feeling little comfort as she knew that these people who were ejected from the village and died as a result could not be so easily put back together. Lifting a hand to give an affirming thumbs up, Lilou would quickly reanimate one of her Nomsters as the others and every weapon of hers littering the area disappeared in puffs of smoke all at once before she followed closely after Musica, making sure her big blue and fuzzy puppet stayed close to Reiyer in case they also had difficultly walking as Lilou didn’t know how effective her false summons healing were to have been.
Upon arrival at the party it became quite obvious emotions were running high, multiple important figures from within the village were here and if it hadn’t been for the sensation caused by the heavy weight in the room Lilou likely would have had something to say in respect to what she and those with her were forced to deal with, without any actual support. Lilou chose to stand behind Musica and let her big blue puppet stand behind and tower over herself. The topic at hand seemed a bit inappropriate all things considered, believing that they should be discussing and arranging relief, as well as behind calculating and identifying their losses considering how many people had been literally ejected from the village itself. A thinking frown formed on Lilous face as she crossed her arms and simply listened to what everyone was saying, simultaneously contemplating about all the information she was hearing in respect to what had actually happened and piecing what she could together, wondering what possible end there was from these actions.

▱▰▱Kenshin would briefly reaffirm Takao's initial statement to Shion regarding his ability to purify and restore the tailed beasts. "Takao's correct. I see that Matatabi is hurt. I can reverse the damage the Jashinist inflicted on her." There were many matters to discuss regarding the Jashinists that he would take the initiative on shortly. He looked over his shoulder to Freya and nodded. Now that he was assured that the village was no longer falling he could finally calm down and catch his breath. "Between realms? Toso is a bizarre fool but not one to be underestimated." Kenshin informed Freya but before he could give the order to retrieve Toso he would listen to Kagerou's words. When Rieyar greeted him he briefly bowed his head in acknowledgment of his presence. It was somewhat reassuring to see someone that brought him back to his Pale Citadel even if the sensation was ephemeral. All he truly wanted was to return to his citadel and spend days on those duties and enjoying his wife's company. Yet he had to dismiss these yearnings in order to focus on his service to this world. "It's Lord Hyuga. Lord Kosei is...an oxymoron." Kenshin's pleasantly painful longings for home were dismissed as he corrected Kagerou. Kosei was the surname he chose for himself when he was rendered illegitimate by his grandfather. When he was legitimized his true name, Hyuga, returned with it. Then he was allowed to take the title of patriarch of the Lightning Empire Hyuga clan and claim it ahead of his exiled father. "What we want is irrelevant in the light of what we must do. Toso never understood that." Kenshin briefly reflected on all of his sacrifices for the sake of his duty to society. Even in this instance, he had to fight the temptation to retire from the world into his mountain fortress because he had an obligation to protect the world from Jashin's hunger and the corruption of morals. Kenshin shook his head at Kagerou's request not to pursue Toso. "The rule of law is mankind's greatest achievement. The idea that no matter who you are your actions have consequences. Blacksmith, Arashikage, it doesn't matter." The sentinel's upper lip wrinkled as he shook his head and only stopped when he needed to speak again. His eyes were unyielding on Kagerou's face as he focused on her. "Your soft heart allowed Toso to escape. It's easy to be kind, what's difficult is to be just. I can see many people here who allowed their favoritism for Toso to bring us to this point. But I laud your admission of incompetence as that's how we learn to advance ourselves." He did not seek to punish Kagerou or anyone else for negligence but his objective was to bring Toso back. "Besides that, I need Toso to be brought into custody immediately as a practical matter. I'm on a mission to purify every tailed beast of Jashin. He's the one who created them and he seeks to use them to destroy our world and consume our reality. When the Sun was blackened and Utu killed Jashin became more powerful. He grows stronger every day that he feasts on Utu's universe and is planning to do the same to our own. The Jashinists have been given otherworldly power. I'm certain that you've all seen the threat we face. If I don't purify all of the demons then Jashin will be prepared to destroy the world." Kenshin spoke of this more audibly and looked around the area. He wanted every person present to hear his voice on the grave threat posed by the dark god. "And yet I've learned even more than that. Toso allowed Kagami Hari, the leader of Kogarashi, to escape. Then he raised her son, Satoshi, before he went rogue. Satoshi Hojo stole an airship from this village and has become one of the most craven and dangerous rogues in Arashi's history. He's been collecting Jashinist totems to summon the dark one into our realm. Thankfully, he's been unsuccessful. Yet we know that he's burned men alive with Amaterasu fire...and laughed as they screamed. Both Satoshi and Toso must face trial for what they've done." Kenshin emphasized Satoshi's surname to heighten his connection with Toso. He was also haunted by the disturbing facts he learned about the crow sage. Kenshin stopped his speech and narrowed his eyes on Kagerou once again. "We cannot allow these people to evade our grasp any longer. Look what terrors it's brought upon the world." He emphasized his point to Kagerou boldly. When Shion spoke up he was surprised that she was so willing to stand down. It appeared that she could see reason in the midst of Kenshin's points. "You're both wrong. Toso was chosen by the previous kage and the emperor. Now there's no kage and no emperor making the choice. As the highest-ranking shinobi, the law vests in me the duty to choose the next leader." He was grateful that Takao's words bolstered his point. Kenshin would not trust Toso's faulty judgment ever again. He was also not swayed by Kagerou and Shion who, in his view, failed the village. When Miyuki arrived and spoke up Kenshin pointed at her. "Approach me. Who are you? State your name and rank. What was your role during the Jashinist attack? Freya, use your intel to verify her words." The sannin of the Storm's glowing night blue eyes became pensive on Miyuki. As far as he was concerned, most of the village's leadership who surrounded him had not shown the requisite leadership skills necessary to meet his qualifications. He was not familiar with this person but he was becoming desperate in his search to root out the mistakes in the village's leadership.

When chakra is infused in a physical strike using gentle fist the chakra within the enemy's body is reduced at double rounded up to the nearest total. For example, if you use 100 chakra in an attack then 200 chakra is reduced from the opponent on contact. This buff does not stack with the Byakugan's gentle fist technique or the Piercing Accuracy PA. The ascension aura lasts for 10 posts maximally.
Active Effects Byakugan Status: • Inactive Tenseigan Status: • Active Human Sage Mode Status: • Inactive Reiken no Michi Status: • Inactive Gyuki Transformation Status: • Inactive Status Effects: • None
Personal Attributes ▱▰▱ Piercing Accuracy | The clansman is more proficient than his fellow clan members at striking tenketsu. One's gentle fist application allows them to reduce 1.5 times the amount of chakra spent in a juken strike instead of 1.25. For example, if one spends 100 chakra on a gentle fist technique, the attack robs the target of 150 instead of the 125 normal clansmen would reduce. ▱▰▱ Purest Lineage | The clansman's thoroughbred lineage allows them access to the Byakugan without the use of a hand seal, chakra cost, or activation. In addition, should they unlock the Tenseigan, they may have 50% less reserves to maintain it than other clan members and may also activate the Tenseigan without the use of a hand seal, chakra cost, or activation. ▱▰▱ Physical Prowess | The Hyuga gains a [2] point increase in any stat after mastering stage 3 of the gentle fist and another [2] points after mastering stage 6 for a total of [4] rather than [2]. In addition, the Hyuga gains [3] custom slots to be used exclusively for the gentle fist style and [1] taijutsu style slot. ▱▰▱ Genetic Palette | With intensive genetic therapy and strong blood, this character is able to possess more than one transplant. This allows the character up to two transplants total, of any of the three categories. ▱▰▱ Thundering Justice | Lightning-based techniques used by the Hatake are granted a concussive blast in the form of a sonic boom upon impact. This concussive blast has a range of five feet per rank of the parent technique. Those within the area of the blast have a knock-back effect applied if their body rank is lower than the parent technique. In addition, deafness is applied upon impact for two posts. ▱▰▱ Tsunami of Justice | Kenshin gains access to the water element. ▱▰▱ Ionic Blade | The user's bukijutsu and basic combat weapon strikes may be made complex to add their lightning element to the attacks. This causes tiered paralysis on contact equal to the rank of the technique it is paired with. ▱▰▱ Blessings of Valor | As a world-famous hero, you are forever bestowed with an extra reward in arc, timeskip, and guildwide events. ▱▰▱ Short-Circuiting Juken | For an additional amount of chakra that is half of the amount spent for the original technique, Hatake chidori raiton can be applied to complex juken techniques to inject the enemy's body with lightning. The Hatake's chidori raiton inflicts a tier of full-body paralysis that is equivalent to the technique's rank up to the second tier. This paralysis lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. Applying Chidori chakra to the Juken consumes a second offensive activation. ▱▰▱ Storm Sage | Lightning techniques cast while in sage mode and when enhanced by nature chakra burn brighter and inflict a tier of blindness that is equivalent to the technique's rank. This blindness lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. ▱▰▱ Stern Spirit | Reiken no Michi virtue states cost one rank less in stamina to activate and maintain. The stamina cost of the virtue states cannot be reduced beyond this. ▱▰▱ Raijin Drum | While in human sage mode, Kenshin is able to self-korabo one lightning technique, one wind technique, and one water technique into one three-times powerful truth-seeking orb. This consumes the chakra of the three techniques on his nature chakra reserves but only one offensive action. This can only occur once for every three posts. ▱▰▱ Conduction Mastery | Kenshin is able to self-korabo his lightning and water techniques more efficiently by paying 10 less chakra when one raiton and one suiton are combined. ▱▰▱ The Grand Order | Status effects affect the templar by [1] tier lower at a minimum of tier 1 when defending their religion's faithful and their houses of worship. This PA is only obtained by grand templars and is automatically obtained once that title is granted. ▱▰▱ Eye of the Storm | When using techniques or abilities based on the water and-or lighting element, including ranton and other bloodline techniques their rank is increased depending on the proximity to the user. When 20-25 feet from the user, techniques are increased by one rank in strength, when 5-10 feet from the user, techniques are increased by two ranks. ▱▰▱ Conductive Destruction | Ranton users are masters of their elements so one Raiton and one Suiton ninjutsu can be self-Koraboed for only one offensive activation. This ability can only be used once per three posts. If both Raiton and Suiton techniques are used in the same post then they are all reduced by 5 chakra per rank of the technique.
Class Information First Class: Bukijutsu ▱▰▱ Expert: Rapier → The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. Weapon Specs ▰ Weapon Name: Getsuruitō ▰ Weapon Type: Katana & Rapier [ Reiken Spirit Sword ] ▰ Weapon Size: 38 Inches Total | 30 Inch Blade | 8 Inch Hilt ▰ Style Categorization: Medium Sword ▰ Weapon Weight: 3 lbs ▰ Stat Increase: +2 Speed ▰ Elemental Affinity: Lightning ▰ Description: Getsuruitō (月涙刀, Moon Tear Sword) is a legendary sword that was reworked and merged with the standard-issue Kumogakure Police Department officer rapier commissioned to Kenshin Kosei named Purity. The original form of the sword is a steel and dark blue katana with a bronze crossguard and dragonhead handle. It also has a rapier form that was refined from Purity and is entirely constructed from steel with a dark blue handle and basket hilt. The katana and rapier forms are the same size and constructed of the same materials. Getsuruito was considered a legendary artifact by the people of Seizan as it was wielded by an ancient general. When the rusted blade was awarded by the locals to Kenshin Kosei he discovered that it had the unique ability to merge with and empower one other weapon. When the katana was reworked to its fullest potential it had the abilities of his own weapon in addition to incredible lightning abilities. ▰ Ability Summary: Righteous Sword of the Sentinel [ Senchineru no Seigi no Ken ] | Rank E | Bloodline | Spiritual All forms of Hyuuga techniques including the gentle fist can be used through the sword for the 10 posts that this technique is active. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

KAMEYO
Kameyo hadn't realized it initially but she was trembling as Kagerou spoke about Toso's adverse reaction to the Jashinist's corruption chakra. She realized, distantly, that she wouldn't be able to rest until she understood the nature of this corrupt chakra. She had to know exactly what it was doing to Toso, what it did to him that it didn't do to Takao. Or if it would have done the same to him, and it only didn't because of Kenshin's prowess. She heard tiredness in Kagerou's voice as the good doctor explained that Toso had surrendered his title - or maybe that was projection - but she nodded as if she understood.
Her expression was painfully blank as Shion's words washed over her, and she wasn't sure she could forgive either Kunoichi for absolving Toso of abandoning her so immediately. It felt like absolution, at least. And it certainly felt like abandonment. She had braced herself, holding her arms as she had listened, but her knuckles were white as she squeezed and she still couldn't feel much of anything. They began speaking about a replacement and she knew the village needed a leader but it made her sick to her stomach that they had to move on immediately. They couldn't let the village stagnate above the ocean and couldn't leave the people without a face to look up to, but why was that? She had to. She had to haunt the Spire, now, as it was devoid of her Toso and she had no closure. She felt alive out of habit and nothing else.
Sick of the conversation from one moment to the next, she turned to a shinobi she'd had no prior contact with but which she knew was well-versed in the medical arts from her sensory technique earlier. "I know it's a big ask,' she said lowly to the ninja, "but this village would have experienced less trauma at the loss of the hospital if there had been slugs here. While that is my own fault, I would be honored if you would bear the burden of the slug contract along with me." She produced the scroll in her hands, opening the large scroll only enough to reveal her own blood signature and space for another. "The slugs have the power to heal more shinobi than any one ninja can do on her, or his, own." A small yellow slug peeked from behind her shoulder at Rieyar, one that had been summoned back in Takijinsei.
What was being said, well, it had an adverse affect on Rieyar. Probably more than those here would be used to from the people they interacted with. The goings on of Arashi were foreign to the healer, as one might expect, but even they could grasp the Sanin's severity. Both in terms of what had happened, and what the Hyuga was determined to see happen. Their vision tunneled on him as he spoke, and it felt like an unseen hand had snaked its way into their chest, grabbing hold and squeezing just hard enough to make breathing difficult. Rieyar was sure now, that they did not like the man and his particular fixation. His talk of justice and fancy jutsu could not undo the unseen damage. You could put buildings back together all you wanted, but people were a different story. They simply weren't that easy to fix. That didn't seem to concern Kenshin though, or if it did then the concern was dwarfed by his desire to pass judgement without contention. Ironic considering the basics of what had occurred that were graspable simply from overhearing a conversation. What of these wars and constantly simmering conflicts represented justice for Kenshin? And in that part what was indistinguishable from primal revenge? Rieyar had seen little but conflict since leaving Kumoito, and every step along their path seemed to draw them deeper and deeper into its clutches. This wasn't a village, it was a riptide and the lanky child was treading water at its edge.
The sharp, building pain of oncoming tears began as Kenshin turned his paranoia and desperation on one of the others. And then it broke with a low voice. Rieyar's face displayed a mix of apprehension and confusion as Kameyo spoke. They were quite unaware who this woman was, but what she offered was not considered lightly by the child. She seemed to misunderstand what Rieyar was, and why they were here, but a summon? The ability to do more? It was like a lifeline to the shore. Maybe with the ability to do more there was a chance that whatever disastrous consequences Kenshin was willing to set the village in the path of while pursuing the proper placement of blame might be counteracted more thoroughly than these had. "If it lets me help more, I'll... do anything." They hesitated as they spoke, glancing at the barely contained, simmering feud between Kenshin and the rest of this village's leadership. Rieyar was unsure what continuing down this path meant, and in the back of their head something tugged at them; suggesting the summons weren't a lifeline, that they were the snapped anchor of a rogue buoy, and grabbing hold would seal their fate. There was as much a tinge of selfishness to the desire to add their name as there was in Kenshin's demand that his beloved laws vested him with ultimate dictatorial power. This passed as quickly as it came though, and Rieyar signed their name on the contract with a determined expression on their face.

KAITO
Kaito's eyes widened at Kenshin's reveal about Satoshi, Toso, and Kagami. He'd almost died in the Kogarashi fight and finding out now that Kagami had amicably been released... Kaito couldn't believe it. All the destruction that woman had reigned on the entire shinobi world and Toso had adopted her son afterwards? "How could he do something like that?" He blurted out, looking to Kenshin with utter confusion. He looked to the faces of the other high ranking shinobi, wondering if they also knew. It felt like everything he knew was crashing and burning like Arashi had been about to. He couldn't believe Toso had raised Satoshi as his own after what Kagami had done to all of them.
In light of the horrible reality he was subjected to, Kaito had nowhere to turn but to his faith. He moved his left hand to hold Avalanche's as he took conscious deep breaths. Kaito's right hand curled around his necklace which was made of sensitive laurel branches to represent Evergreen. "Can we help with the purification?" Without conscious effort, his gaze flickered to Shion. He'd loved her, at one point, but she had rejected his desire to purify her of the demonic parasite in her body. Still, his request was out of earnest belief that ridding the world of demonic chakra or influences would save it.

tabAs more and more people filed into the room, Thresher was suddenly struck with the sheer magnitude of the attack on Arashi. She’d known, at least on some level due to her own Sage senses, the scale of the invasion. But the amount of devastation was something the Hoshigaki even considered. To bring the village down? To fight against people that hosted demons like nothing? There’s no way that anyone could have even been prepared for this. For some people the realization of the strength of their opponents would make them feel better, because how could they have been stopped. But for Thresher, it only infuriated her more. It really drove home just how powerless she’d been and how weak she truly was, after so much time training.
Kabutowari weighed heavily on Thresher’s back as Kenshin spoke about Toso and his shortcomings. About his son, her target. It wasn’t until Miyuki squeezed back did Thresher realize just how hard she was gripping the artist’s hand. Thresher mumbled a soft apology before loosening her fingers. Hearing her girlfriend speak up so clearly, in a room full of strangers, made Thresher’s heart swell. Back in the Stormcloud district, a simple month that felt like a lifetime ago, Thresher wondered if Miyuki had the guts to be a shinobi.
But seeing her speak made Miyuki seem larger than life to the sharkwoman, as she commanded the attention in the room. Thresher gave Miyuki an encouraging grin when the artist looked at her, accompanied by a nod and a gentle push forward by her back. “'Er name’s M’yuki Ukyo,” Thresher’s chest puffed out with pride as she jumped at the chance to brag about her girlfriend. “And she’s twice the ninja as anyone in this room.”

▱▰▱ Surf or Swim | Walking on or submerged in water, Hoshigaki can dodge for one rank less in resource and their speed is boosted by [1] at E-C body rank and [2] at B-S+ body rank. They are also able to use bloodline techniques with somatic gestures.
▱▰▱ Sharkskin | When the Hoshigaki's blade makes contact with a target, they absorb chakra equal to the defense used. They can also start with an additional [2] bukijutsu styles.
▱▰▱ Aquatic Mastery | The user's suiton techniques may be doubled in size for no additional cost. This does not effect the strength of the user's suiton techniques. In addition, should the user's water ninjutsu or clan techniques interact with another suiton technique, the user's technique steals one rank of chakra from the opposing technique. If this overpowers the opponents technique, this technique continues on it's path normally.
▱▰▱ Can't be Tamed | The clan member is able to use bukijutsu while in half/beast mode, and natural weaponry (fangs, claws, horns) can be used, logically, in lieu of formal weapons. Their resourcefulness in beast form translates into their anthro/kemonomimi form, allowing them to use bukijutsu for one rank less cost (does not stack with other bukijutsu reductions).
▱▰▱ Unleash the Beast | The clan member is unforgiving in their strikes. Taijutsu techniques of the user may apply one tier higher trauma status at the following ranks. E-C Rank: Tier 2, B-A Rank: Tier 3 and S-S+ Rank: Tier 4. The user may use clan techniques through animalistic vocalizations but this takes just as much time to mold chakra as handseals.
• Sharkskin is tough and jarring to others so any physical contact made with a Hoshigaki results in tier one paralysis on the limb that made contact with the Hoshigaki. • Bukijutsu costs [10] less resource to use at every body rank, maxing out at 60 less at S+, always to a minimum of 5 resource paid per technique.
▰ Ogre's Grip [ Oni no Haaku ] | Rank S | Training Through their rigorous endeavors with their mighty weapon, the practitioner has developed immaculate upper body strength. Because of this impressive development, the user needs only a single hand to wield large sized weapons.
▰ Fallen Strength | Rank A | Training The user's monstrous strength allows them to wield their hammer with a single hand, freeing their second hand for various tasks. Techniques of this style along with basic combat weapon techniques for this style of weapon are able to be used with a single hand.
▰ Flame Breathing Pattern [ Kaen Kokyū Hōhō ] | Rank D | Training The user is accustomed to the unique and various breaths that it takes to preform physical attacks as well as to channel chakra. This allows the user to passively detect when an offensive action is about to occur, giving them a [1] point increase in agility per body rank of the user. Additionally, once every three posts, the user is able to defend against an offensive activation without utilizing an activation.

Miyuki was surprised when Kenshin turned to her and spoke directly. She almost lost her voice for a moment, but thankfully Thresher's response covered for her lapse. She exhaled a laugh at the Hoshigaki's praise but sobered immediately upon meeting Kenshin's piercing white gaze. "My name is indeed Miyuki Ukyo. I am a Chunin, though the paperwork for that is a little convoluted as I received two separate Chunin promotions. My role was to assist other shinobi in apprehending Saiko, the Jashinist who summoned the large statue that crushed the hospital. While I have information about his prowess that can help in the future, I must admit that all of us failed to bring the Jashinist in. I suppose you must know that given that you cured Takao of his corruption, courtesy of Saiko, but I also suppose you did not see me there because... because when Saiko put Thresher down and fled the village, I took her to find a healer... but there were none around. I had barely a moment while we were in newfound safety before your Tenseigan restored the village and also brought her back to me. All I did was help in delaying Saiko long enough for him to need to flee and seeking a healer for Thresher. Immediately after she was healed, we came straight here to assist the Arashikage with whatever his plan was."
She looked down at her feet for a moment, hand still entangled with Thresher's. "I know the escape of the Jashinists is disappointing but the team I fought alongside with witnessed this strange man and all of his abilities along with me and I am confident we can compile a comprehensive file on Saiko in order to bring him and the others to justice. I know your critique of the Arashikage must apply to us as well for our failure but I can confidently say that the shinobi I fought with are competent enough to scour Heaven and Earth for them."
"A sannin deserves the title of lord, no matter their family or lineage," Kagerou softly explained, words squeezed into some small space of the conversation where they would neither intrude nor beg for a response. She understood her place, and had her own priorities in these circumstances. After retaining her own unyielding gaze until Kenshin had to turn away to frantically work on righting on righting and catching up on the affairs of his choice, Kagerou turned to Takao and offered him a smile, followed with words of appreciation, "Thank you. You might not think it much, but narrowing the field of candidates from countless to just seven is commendable by itself." In the meantime, one hand motioned for her clone to come to her side, and upon their arrival, she passed Toso's old clothes into their hands.
"Lady Kameyo," the green haired doctor turned to the petite jiongu, calling for her attention between the words she shared with the golden eyed medic, "... and Shion." She'd leave those words lingering in the air, waiting for both to give her their attention at their leisure. When the time was convenient, she'd make her request, "I must attend to matters at the hospital. If you don't mind, whether it be in person or through clone, may I request for the two of you to accompany me?" followed by a small bow out of respect for both women. A light step to the side, her clone semalessly filling in the space she left with a step of its own, and a glance behind her would guide the pair to the direction of Arashigakure's medical center.
She did not agree to the way Kenshin handled matters, and his unfair assessment of Toso left her with more than a few words. However, by his own philosophies and his own perceptions, the former chief of police was correct. Toso never truly was able to completely let go of himself for duty, no matter how hard he tried. Kagami had been a criminal that started a devastating, short-term war, no matter if she spent the rest of her life atoning for those sins. Satoshi was just an innocent babe and Kenshin a man with the benefit of hindsight that Toso did not have, but such things would not bring back the lives taken by the crow boy's hands. Perhaps, of most immediate importance, this was not the time argue the finer points of Toso's efforts in office. This was the time to recognize that Kenshin was of reliable mind. A sound decision maker who would choose what he thought best for the village. That was about all anyone could ask for. With the choice left in such hands, Kagerou did not find her direct presence necessary, and if it was not necessary, than their were other matters she would rather attend to personally.
Though, as she left her clone in the meeting, she wouldn't be wholly neglectful of the matters at hand. The clone-gerou, sensing this, tilted her head in thought as she surveyed her surroundings. In particular, giving a thoughtful glance between Shion and Kenshin. Righting her head, the Kagerou copy retained the original's amicable smile and offered, "Lord Kenshin, While not CORE, I can verify the information provided on Miyuki Ukyo. The summary of accounts she presented also matches with what is known of her abilities and temperament from my research on the potential kage candidates. If you desire to continue your search past her, I would strongly advise that you consider Takao's advice. You've spoken with him, so you should have noticed, beyond the bias you have against Toso-sama, that Takao's thoughts have merit and he has done his research, separate of any opinions Toso might have on the matter."
The clone paused, hesitated, uncomfortable with the idea of speaking any further. It was a matter that would be unnecessary to pick at. However, considering how Kenshin had expressed himself earlier, if she wanted her words to carry any weight, she felt the additional clarification was necessary.
"That being said, do please spare me with any further accusations of favoritism simply because I side with the man Toso picked. Had I let my favoritism control me, Arashigakure would have been kage-less for months now. That seat was destroying its last owner, but the fact of the matter is, none of those around Toso were willing or able to take the seat from him when he would have happily offered it, be it to his advisors, sannins, or captains."
