The baphomet was scolding themselves constantly by that point, grumbling to themselves even as their hooves carried them around from booth to booth, trying each and every game, consistently adding to the evergrowing collection of plushies in their arsenal. The small blue jackalope plushie was the most recent addition, it seemed.
She saw them out of the corner of her eye--those adorable little bulb-shaped necklaces that twinkled and glowed with glitter and other stuff--magic, no doubt. Already one hung around her neck, but the sight of more in even more colors had the demoness grinning to herself.
"You know... I bet I could make a lot of great outfits with those," she said with a grin, a soft giggle soon following as she slowly began to make her way over towards the booth, counting out all the different colors, thus figuring out how many times she had to win to collect the whole lot of them.
Sadly for her, her luck with the game seemed to be particularly low, as even after nearly ten minutes, she found herself with only one extra necklace.
For a time, Braelyn simply sat, quietly enjoying her peppermint hot cocoa in peace as she watched the going ons around her. She was completely and utterly content in her own thoughts when suddenly a Freshling went passed, frolicking along happily only to pause a moment later, turning around to look at the geist.
Is that peppermint cocoa?
She blinked at the question, before smiling gently, nodding. "Yes, it is," she said, blinking then as the freshling pranced closes, lifting up the basket they held to reach inside, pulling out a bundle of candycanes a moment later.
"You should put one of these in there. It makes it even better! Happy Solstice!" They said before continuing off on their way, leaving the geist there blinking from confusion, but thankful nonetheless.

Mint loved festivals. The smell of baked goods, chocolate, and sugars wafted between the booths, and she outran her sister to get a glimpse of all the confections.
The squawking of familiars pierced the crowd, and everyone carried stockings stuffed with prizes in their arms. She was so excited that she figured first thing, she'd want a drink. Then she'd check out the games.
Something green and slippery was darting around in the punch bowl.
She scooped it out with the ladle, and looking both ways, stuffed it discreetly in her pocket.
With the toothy familiar "safely" (and Mytrax uses this in the loosest sense of the word) in her dorm room, the chimera decided she didn't have enough books and wanted more. So here she was again, braving the cold and possibility of running into daydreams, and tried not to shiver or shudder at the thought.

Verve nodded solemnly, or rather tried to nod solemnly. Which proved to be a futile effort as a smile was already creeping across her face, "You're gonna have to elaborate on your show stuff. I mean, my imagination's as good as the next Nightmare, buuuuut I've only known you for like a few minutes." The chimera leaned in close and motioned to throw an arm around Sprout, because personal space and boundaries? What's that? "I'm thinking maybe we can fix that. But for reals, how good are you with the glam-magic?"

Charmstar was feeling grumpy when his caretaker finally said they could go back. He was absolutely sure his friends had already gone home, or that he would miss them by now. He kept his frown all throughout the walk back to the festival, and his frown deepened when his caretaker (in a misguided attempt at Solstice Cheer) took a headband and plopped it onto the freshling's head.
The glare he gave the older nightmare made it very clear he was not amused.

Amihan had returned from her room, her stocking noticably lighter and emptier. The familiars that had taken a shine to her had been left behind as well, which freed her hands to take a bright-colored bracelet, with a stub that said she won a plushie. Wow, she was certainly forming a little herd of her own. Idly, she wondered if her brother might like them.

His first school event! The baphomet was excited as all get out but rather than simply going to the first booth he spotted, he took his time to carefully look at all available games and prizes and- Oh my Nine, look at that!
This time, Arya didn't notice when another familiar joined him so he didn't end up giving it away.

Nikora grinned at Malachi. "You seem to know a lot about familiars! Which class was this in?" She asked while petting the Salamander. "Are you going to start a big bitey bird family, Hailey?" She giggled when she saw and heard what was going on with the other girl. She paused and nodded when the crystal tag was brought up again. "Yeah we probably should." She then swiped another piece of candy.
Thankfully her dad walked by and took her familiar and the build up of stuff she got so she would be free to play more.

Shannon managed to snag some candy from a passing staff member. Can never have too much candy right?
Autumn had long since shimmied herself down the side of the booth and slumped, allowing the Kidden that she'd encountered to chew on the remains of a lollipop from her bag. She was getting so bored, it felt like she'd been waiting here forever! When would one of the caretakers pass by and take her back to the dorm? Or, better yet, where was that guy who worked at this booth? He had to be really lazy if he was slacking off like this! How would he know if prizes got stolen or not, too? It wasn't a good way of handling festival property!
"Ugggggh!" She heaved, her head thumping back against booth. "I hate waiting, it's the worst! I just want to go back to the dorm!"
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a caretaker appeared. Autumn quickly hopped up from her space on the ground and grinned. Finally, someone was coming to get her! ... Oh, but what if she was in trouble? That caretaker didn't look too happy...
"There you are, Autumn! I've been looking everywhere for you!" The caretaker said. "Gather your things quickly, please. You've got a very important meeting set up for you, remember?"
"A meeting? Is it bad?" Autumn asked, her eyebrows arching.
"No, no. It's nothing bad." The caretaker replied. "Someone very special is here to meet you."
Autumn tilted her head, but decided not to press further questions. She was heading off to where she wanted to go anyway, how long could this meeting take?

With a new fuzzy friend in tow, Milo continued his parade around the festival. There was still a lot to see, but it seemed he was getting hungry, so he decided to stop and grab another bundle of candy canes from a vendor. He felt like he'd already had these flavor before, but couldn't quite remember where or when he'd had them. It didn't matter though, candy was candy, no matter how many times you had it.
"Yum, this candy is blue-raspberry flavored! Wanna try some?" He said, offering a broken piece to his Fluffbug friend. To his surprise, the Fluffbug turned the offer down and returned to it's perch inside Milo's hair, eliciting a laugh from the mutant child.
"Okay, suit yourself! There's more for me, then!" He chirped, happily chomping down on the end of a cane.
Melanie's willpower against the temptations of sweets seemed to finally be working, but her willpower against the temptations of fluffy things she didn't need was weaker as a result. That black feather boa was just calling to her, like the song of a siren! The Goblin pilfered it from it's booth and scurried along toward the cafeteria, albeit embarrassed with herself. It would go great with her ballet costume, if she still fit into that beautiful little number by the end of the holiday season!
"Finally, I can smell good food cooking from the other side of this door!" She said, triumphantly. "Time to fill this belly so I won't eat any more sweets!"
London dragged himself over to the refreshment stand for a nice cup of tea after becoming a little too emotional over the plants at the stand. He had to do something to take his mind off these planters long enough for him to see other things. If he kept obsessing like this, he'd probably miss a performance somewhere, or worse, free food or other kinds of giveaways! He made a face and whined toward his mug, before shuffling toward a bench to read. He didn't finish that one story, right? What was it called again? The Mystery of the Timepiece. He rummaged through his stocking, tugged out the book, and continued reading. It wasn't the most interesting of books, but it was something.
Finally full after eating a cup of noodles, drinking a mug of hot chocolate, and eating two full sized bundles of candy floss, Zephyr started looking at the remaining trinkets that the festival had. There were more of those bracelets and feather boas, as well as some cute unique necklaces and stuff like that, but nothing really grabbed his interest for too long. However, not too far down the way from him was a booth that seemed a little out of place, and he wandered up to check it out.
"Ha-ha, these plants are so dorky! Who thought of this? It's got "teacher inspired" written all over it!" He laughed, plucking one of the blue planters off the table. "... Though they are kind of endearing. I could take care of something simple like this. All it needs is water, pruning, and sunshine, right? Super simple stuff."
"I'm hungry." Valerian whined, his arms swinging back and forth. "Is there anything good to eat, Dahlia?"
Of course, he meant candy, tons and tons of candy. He lived and breathed nothing but sugar, sweets, and caramel coated goodness. If it wasn't for the determination of his parents and his teachers, Valerian probably would have left his entire palate at candy alone. He did like some other foods, though, like french fries and burgers, but anything too elaborate was absolutely out of the question. He didn't eat spinach or kale, or any vegetable that wasn't mashed or hidden in a muffin where he couldn't see, smell, or taste it. But even then, Valerian seemed to know when something had a vegetable planted inside of it, it was like he had a sixth sense. You couldn't get much past this boy without him knowing. ... Except if you were a bossy, blackmailing big sister.
Dahlia, despite herself, was also hungry and patted at her stomach as it seemed to grumble toward her. Ugh, what was she supposed to get for her and Valerian that wasn't made entirely of sugar? Daddy had said no sweets, or... Maybe it was not too many sweets, but regardless, Valerian wasn't supposed to have a lot of candy! It made him hyper and he was barely tolerable right now! She knew that she couldn't handle him with any more energy than he already had.
"Uhhh, oh! I see a stand with little baggies, let's see what it is!" She chirped, tugging Valerian along. "Mmm, peanut brittle and peppermint bark! I'll get one and you get the other so we can share, okay?"
After relieving the librarian of a few more books, Miah found herself continuing off on her little quest to build quite the collection of plushies. In all honesty, could you truly blame her? The small stuffed creatures were positively precious and utterly to die for. It was harder to try and ignore all of the toys than to carry them.
"Oh gosh, look! There's a bigger one of these!" she squealed to her Cockatriel companion as she started towards another booth, hoping to win the giant Vespercat plushie if she could, which of course she certainly did.
Alright, Alis. No more plushies from now on. Now, if you get any more plushies... give them to Miah, or something. She'd probably like them.
A soft sigh fell from the Baphomet's lips as they tried to reason with themself, their head shaking as they began to make their way around the area again, trying to find something else to occupy themselves with other than just stuffed animals.
While perhaps not the best alternative, the small snowglobes were at least that: small.
