But she had enjoyed talking to him, even tho she was still a little worried about his relationship with Lorata. This was a festival tho, it was time to let go and have fun. Chiara stuck her muddy hand into the hay-pile and pulled up a handful of straws. Seeing the adult troll she had messed with at the beginning of the festival she held out her muddy, straw covered hand and said "Nice to meet ya!"

These mooncakes were much better than the recent ones she'd been making. Her gut told her they were perfect, but when she looked at the design-- Still, pressed too lightly. Vremea needed to practice more on that...

A familiar voice drew Ephias out from his reverie. Even without the strange manner of speech, he would have been able to recognise it immediately. He jumped to his feet, whirling to face the orangeblood. “Kei...!” he exclaimed. He caught himself just in time and swallowed the last half of her name. Though they might have been disguised, they could never be too cautious. “Ah... I guess so. M-mostly just focussed.” He shrugged. At a point when Lutrin was not in conversation with Frossa and gracing her with lovely trinkets found in the haystack, she continued her search. She engaged in less productive activities as well, such as braiding a wreath out of straw for SugarDad and placing it around his neck. He was a true harvestbeast now. The jubilee would be over soon. The thought was kind of saddening, wasn't it? Gnash really was having a lot of fun, meeting new trolls and doing silly lowblood things with vegetables! She thought maybe she could still win the needle prize, and rooted around the haystack. Her fingers touched something, and she grabbed it eagerly.

These were quite possibly the best cakes Gnash has ever made! Maybe she wasn't such a pathetic failure in all things after all. She proudly showed the booth owner, and pretty much anyone who would listen that she made very satisfactory mooncakes this time. She would always remember the fun she had here, for sure.

Gnash was distracted thinking about how, since the festival would be ending soon, she'd have to go find her lusus... and put in something rotting without realizing it right away. Of course, when the bubbling smell of rot permeated her sniffnode, she frowned. She was still going to eat it though, she'd worked too hard not to eat the delicious result!

He figured it was only getting easier and easier, with all of the hay being tracked out of the area, stuck in other kids hair and whatnot. Plus his lusus seemed content with eating some of it while he searched. Either way, the pile seemed smaller to him, which only gave him more resolve to search! And still not find anything. Well, maybe next time.
