Miyuki nodded at this, "Yup, it's all set. I'll probably end up adding things later, but that's later and isn't so serious that it has to be added now."
Besides, if she spent another several weeks on it, she might go crazy. It was a long time to spend on just one thing.

Lancaeriel's eyes lit up. "Do we get to see it?" she asked eagerly.
"How much can we do to our room to personalize it?" Cael asked at the same time, just as eagerly.
Unfortunately, because they spoke at the same time, Earendil couldn't understand what they were saying, but Shoneah snickered at the two of them.

Miyuki coughed as she tried to cover up a laugh, the two sounded like over grown children.
Lin tugged on Earendil's sleeve and told him separately what the two had asked so he wouldn't be lost as to why the girls were giggling.
"Yes, you all get to see it," Miyuki told Lancaeriel, "And however much you like, there isn't much, and the walls can be easily replaced."
Which sounded weird, but the walls were frames with paper screens on top. She could easily replace the screens if needed and keep the frames. Well, she had to keep the frames she had incorporated the Winter family's alarm system and security inside the tent as well. Since there wasn't anything keeping people out, just the elements.

Cael grinned at Miyuki, and there was a look in his eye that said, Just wait and see.
He was after all a very powerful magic-user, and that meant surprises.
At that moment, the flap of Daeron and Iorlas' tent opened, and Iorlas stepped out, Amir in her arms, with Daeron close behind them.
"It looks like we're going to be quite the group," Iorlas commented with a smile when she saw how many of them were there. "Miyuki, are you sure the hall is large enough for all of us at once?"

"The hallway width wise and fit two people side by side comfortably and it's a really long hallway," Miyuki replied, "There are actually more hallway than doors, just in case because I find we pick people up unexpectedly."
Of course, she could remove the end wall of the hallway and add more hallway or even a room, but it was better to not have to do that yet.

Iorlas's green eyes sparkled brightly with amusement. "Considering that's how you picked up most of us, I can't help but agree," she giggled. "Me, Lancaeriel, and by extension Cael; Amir, Shoneah, Eron ..."
Shoneah blinked at Iorlas. "That makes two people who can pronounce my name," she murmured, her tone bemused.
"Don't be surprised if there aren't any more," Daeron chuckled. "Now come, Miyuki, we're anxious to see. Lead the way."

Miyuki led the way back to the tent, it stood out against all the other tents. Not just because it was bigger, but because it looked to be intricately decorated. Runes were chained together to make a pretty design, though they were there to make it strong enough to withstand the elements and prevent anyone from setting it on fire, or poking holes into it.
"The best part is, you're safe in this even in a storm," she told them, "Though there's nothing to prevent strangers from going inside without permission, that hadn't been on my list of things to do."

"Well, at least we can hear them approaching." Daeron offered this small consolation with a smile.
"Most of us," Earendil murmured sadly.
"If you're concerned," Cael spoke up, "Lan and I could add some protection against intruders. We could make it so that only people of good intention could enter, though that's still not the safest ... the best we could offer is to make it so that only specific people could enter."
"And if we do have others join us," Lancaeriel added reassuringly, "we can adjust it to include them as well."

Lin patted Earendil on the shoulder, it was something he was still on use to after all this time. She was glad it was just his hearing, it worried her a bit. That if Earendil had been any more handicapped he would have become depressed.
Miyuki nodded, "I'd like that. I couldn't find any practical way to just have only specific people enter, and there was more information on the good intentions idea. Though that might be because that's what mom's family back home uses."
There were too many people passing through their gates and doors to make specific people practical. As long as they got a warning that someone that wasn't family was in the compound or in their home, that was fine by them.

Earendil smiled at Lin. He tried not to get her down, he really did, but sometimes he forgot to keep his disappointments to himself.
"Then we'll do that tomorrow," Cael nodded at Miyuki. "It will take some time, and we'll need as many people as we can to be there, and anyone we miss will have to be added afterwards."
"Well, let's see what the fuss is all about, shall we?" Daeron grinned and stepped forward, since no one else was, and held the tent door open for the others to go in.
"Miyuki, would you like to lead the way?" Earendil smiled warmly at his daughter. "It is your accomplishment, after all."

"Okay," Miyuki smiled brightly as she went in first.
She led the group into a large open room. There was nothing in there but the storage boxes. Now that Miyuki thought about it, she should think about trying to add a stove and oven, if she could do a forge, doing that should be much easier.
It was huge, but the traveling party had grown so large that she wanted everyone to be able to eat in the same place.
"This is supposed to be the dining area and kitchen, but well... there isn't much in here at the moment," Miyuki explained.
The floor was pale wood that matched the wall frames, making the paper screens stand out even more. If it weren't for the fact some of that wall seemed to stick out slightly, indicating a door, the doors would have been missed.

The others were all impressed by the massive room, and many of them were intrigued by the paper walls.
"What's on the other side of the paper?" Cael wondered aloud. "If you were to put your hand though, would you be in someone's room? Or is that the end of the plane, and there's nothing there?"

"You chose a Japanese design?" Lin asked a bit bemused by it.
It was fitting for Miyuki, it was just she was surprised that her daughter would choose such a Gaian design.
Miyuki motioned to the walls, "The design is the easiest to expand, since originally these designs were meant to separate one huge room into several, so it's easier for me to visualize if I have to expand again."
She paused and the added.
"But to answer Cael's question, the answer is both. This layout is more like a maze than one huge room. Each door entering into another aspect of the plane. So if you put your hand through the paper that is a door, yes you would end up in a hallway, or a room. Put your hand through a wall though, and there would be nothing."

"Neat," Cael grinned, eyes sparkling mischievously.
"It may be wise to make the doors slightly more obvious, then," Lancaeriel commented as she looked around. "I can sense where they are because of the magic beyond them ... but they are not very visible."
"There's one anti-intruder measure already then," Shoneah commented dryly.
"Is there a way to protect the walls so that Amir can't fall through them?" Iorlas asked worriedly. "When he's older it might not be a problem, but he's still quite accident-prone ..."

Miyuki looked thoughtful at that, the paper was already firm but she understood what her aunt was thinking. It was just one panel, which wasn't actually that common as far as wall designs went.
"I can change the frames to be several panel, which is more traditional design, the frame would keep him from breaking the paper, and the paper itself is pretty firm."
As for making the door obvious, Miyuki tapped her cheek for a moment.
"Have a different kind of wood frame for the doors, that too is more traditional," Lin spoke up, "Some door designs have a thick wood running the width where a groove would be put in so a person could slide the door open easily."
"Oh yea..." Miyuki nodded, "That would do too."
