Never Again...Herald let out a breath as he thought about being a father. That was definitely something he didn't think he was cut out for. How were they supposed to have two children? How would he even raise them? What would they be like? Emma had apparently encountered at least one of them in a vision and Herald was very curious to know what he/she was like but had never asked. "Hmm..." was all he was able to say, not even feeling up to making a joking remark. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma took note in Herald's response and smiled slightly "Don't think about it too much... I'm not sure about it either. We will just wait and see when that time comes." she suggested, saying that as advice for him as well as herself. She recalled encountering Sarah then. She seemed to rely on both of them which Emma assumed was a good thing. That was a different time though. She wasn't sure how Emma would be parent wise here. She opened one eye and peaked up at Herald to see his expression. ☾

Never Again...Herald frowned in thought before looking down at Emma, seeing that she was looking back at him. "I suppose so," he replied, unsure what to think. "Which of our children do you see?' He asked. "What were they like?" Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma blinked in slight surprise, not expecting him to ask that question. "Uh..." she started before shifting on top of him, resting her chin on top of her arms. She thought for a moment "Her name was Sarah," she began, looking at Herald then. "She looked scared at the time. She was afraid of what would happen to you. She kept asking me if everything would be okay and if I would help you calm down so you wouldn't get hurt." Emma explained. "With that, I think she really cared about us." ☾

Never Again...Herald thought for a moment, reaching down and stroking Emma's cheek. "I see," he said, trying to envision what having a daughter would be like. He was drawing a total blank. "What did she look like?" He asked after a moment. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald gave a small smile. "Well I suppose it's obvious where she gets the ears and tail from then," he replied. He tried again to envision children, especially a daughter. But he couldn't. He had no idea how to raise kids, especially not a little girl. His smile turned to a frown again as he thought about it. I'm not cut out to be a father he thought to himself. Never Again...Herald looked down at Emma, accepting her kiss. "It's something I'd rather think about now than whenever it happens," he told her honestly. "Though if you wish not to discuss it, I understand." Strangely, it was one of those rare moments when Herald felt like talking about something. Even he wasn't quite sure why. ☽ Emma looked back at Herald as he asked how to be a family. She looked away then, obviously deep in thought. She had some memories of her childhood with her parents, barely though. "Um... to me you have to care about each other, be there no matter what, spend a lot of time together, and understand each other even through difficult events," she said, obviously just piecing together what she had seen to be the definition of a family over time. Something she had wanted. ☾
