Nojha ventured into the strange building cautiously. One area in particular didn't seem to be in as much disrepair as the rest. There was light coming from the doorway.
However, when he walked into the room, he was soon subjected to the source of the light.
Fire?!
Nojha didn't know he could move so quickly!
The run through the gauntlet was still brutal. He took several hits from flying incendiaries, and was even knocked off his feet as a particularly violent blast fired from a weird machine.
But he made it. Considering what he'd just gone through, Nojha was seriously considering ignoring his curiosity the next time he thought exploring would be an good way to spend his time.

This building couldn't make up its mind! Nojha wrapped his arms around him in thin defense against the cold. A giant fan was blowing incredibly cold air across the room.
If he didn't do something to stop it for a bit, he was going to freeze!
Taking a long stick of wood from a nearby debris pile, he threw it at the fan with all his strength. Only to have the fan send it right back to him. Reeling from the blow, it took several minutes for Nojha to recover.

Now he was burned, frostbitten, and bludgeoned. That fan was still blowing, however, and Nojha did not want to lose here. He grabbed another bit of wood, and tried again.
This time, he managed to throw it far enough. The strip of wood stood up long enough for Nojha to make it across the room. He almost welcomed the return of the natural heat of the building.

Until he saw his final obstacle. Intense heat came off the strange mechanism in waves. The way it rattled was also very unnerving. Nojha braced himself, and began his climb.
He was almost immediately thrown off his feet and onto a particularly hot part of the machine. It was excellent motivation to get back on his feet, and quickly.

He continued his climb up the steaming, rattling, hellacious structure.
There was a sudden loud concussion, followed by a wave of force that had Nojha grabbing the blazing hot structure to prevent being completely thrown off of it.

His hands were burned, and he was feeling the exhaustion from his earlier exertions. Looking back, he could see his robe was smoldering. Why was he even wearing this?
Seeming to prove his point, Nojha tripped over the hem and once again found his face making contact with a blazing hot piece of metal.

Back on his feet, Nojha took the time to rip the hem off his robe, and wrap the excess fabric around his head as extra protection against the heat, and his propensity to get too close to it.
Ow! Ow! Steam! Steam! The pain was excruciating as the jet of steam burst from the structure. Nojha scrambled to get out of the way.

Another explosion threatened to throw the exhausted boy off the sculpture. He wasn't sure how he managed to stay on, but he struggled onward.

His coordination was affected, and Nojha took another tumble. The fabric helped, but not much.

Nojha stumbled along the structure, one big ball of hurt. He honestly didn't know if he could make it.
The machine seemed to agree with him, and one last strong blast of steam threw him from the structure. Luckily, he blacked out before he hit the ground. When he woke up, he was outside the building, somehow in one piece.

Thean walked into the burning forge once more, ready to try and get another orb. She was feeling confident so she started across the testing room.
As she was walking through she got hit with a brutal shockwave. She fell with the burn and as soon as she stood up she got hit again. This was not going well so far.
Arriving once more to the forges, Carmus made his way into the heat- and of course, into suffering.
