Darian took the leaf from Arelen. "Thanks," he said, "One question though. Do I chew it now, or after my leg's set and braced?" The elf smiled impishly. "Important to know these things. Medicine's finicky." He laughed.

She smiles, embracing him, and says, "Well, if you want it to work to it's fullest potential, you should just put it in your mouth now."
The redhead nods, "Medicine is finicky but this isn't medicine. It's just a natural chemical in the leaf that helps with medicine."
The doctor moves the elf's pant leg away from the wound, as well as his boot, so that he can get to the wound easier (without things in the way). He tries to be as careful as possible but he still has rough hands [not in a manner of rough as in not careful or slow].

Kitara sighs and says, "I don't want to leave her be but I don't want to get in between her and those that are following her."
Jay nods in agreement. She finally shrugs and starts walking towards the lobby, key in hand.
"How much can we do to help her, do you think?" she asks Lael.

Jay twitters - Are we going to see the end of our lives now? -
His companion shrugs and says firmly, "Then let's get going!"
They pass through the lobby, dropping off the keys and politely thanking the hotel keeper for the renting of the room (though they only got about an hour off of their feet - without sleep). They then leave the hotel and Jay flies ahead, trying to find Margem [or Sanyu].
"The question is: how are we going to find her?"

"Couldn't find a doctor without swordsman's calluses, I see," Darian said wryly. "Never mind, let's just get my leg fixed up." He placed the leaf in his mouth, rolled it around on his tongue, and gave the medic a thumbs-up.

The doctor takes the thumbs-up as an "a okay" and, deftly and quickly, moves the bone back into place. He uses a herbal plaster to the bone(s), the plaster binding the different pieces of broken bone back together so that the bone can heal. After closing up the wound, he sews it back up and splints the leg using the straight branches that the men found earlier.
He packs his stuff back into his bag and, standing up, nods.
"He'll be fine, as long as he doesn't do any strenuous activity, with or without the use of his leg."
Arelen smiles, touching the elf's shoulder. "How you doing?"

Kitara shakes her head, "I have no idea where she could be going. ...Margem's family and village have been destroyed. She could be going anywhere, for all that we know."
Jay whistles something and the elf nods. He flies off in one direction and she starts in the other way, splitting up the search between the two ways so that they are sure to find her.

Lael follows Kitara. "Smart. If we split up we have a better chance of finding her. But how are we going to know if the other person finds here?" she asks.

The blue-haired elf smiles slightly and says, "I can hear Jay's call farther than I can hear any other being's call. ....it probably has something to do with the fact that we've been travelling together for few years."
She continues on in silence, looking for a non-natural color in the environment.
"At least you're here with me because Jay can move faster when on his own, even faster than elves or cheetahs."

"Remembering why I hate breaking limbs," Darian said, using his good leg to pull himself off the ground. "Other than that, fine. Someone wanna get me a crutch, or do I have to find one and take the risk of the search qualifying as 'strenuous activity'?" He looked around the group, careful to keep his weight off his broken leg. Seeing that no one had moved, he looked at Arelen. "Your men really aren't good at taking hints, are they?"

Arelen whistles and the men nod, moving off to find a branch to act as a crutch for the wounded elf. She then steps up to him again and provides a shoulder/arm to lean on.
"Sorry..." she says, "They don't listen to everyone and they are definitely not completely under my control."
The red head laughs, "I might be awesome, but I'm not that good."

"Well, we'll be able to find him, at least. It's amazing that you can hear him from so far away," Lael responds, as she too looks for anything that may suggest Margem went that way.

"Better than me apparently. You think having just survived having a building fall on me would count for something. You know, the whole 'serve the one you're in awe of' thing." Darian laughed, and looked at the men more closely. "Then again, they are mercenaries, and my guess is you're where the money comes from."

Kitara hears a whistle from a while away: -She's not this way. I'm going to search a while longer but keep on the way you're going. She's most likely that way."
She nods.
Blinking, she turns to Lael, "Amazing but only through training and almost 'through hell and back', ya know? Like being kindred spirits or spouses. But I think that, for now, we're kindred spirits that are really close friends."
She plows onward, searching for the redheaded Margem.

The redheaded Arelen laughs, "Yes, you are to be approved of because of the fact that you survived a building falling on you. But what you survive doesn't mean that you are to be a great leader. Just hardy. Or else a quarter of these men would be able to be commanders."
She rolls her eyes, "And that would be a bad thing, trust me. Money comes first except in battle. Imagine the quarter wandering around on down time then falling into a war when dispersed? ... Not good."

"Well, yeah, they'll follow you loyally, until their service to you is ended," Darian said. "After all, if they quit in the middle of a job because someone offered to pay more no one would hire them. Bad for the reputation."
