Alice noticed that Mort was here. When did he get here? Is that Belladonna? When did she get here? When did anyone get here? I'm so confused. and she saw Mort trying to dunk Thackery. Didn't seem he cared if he made them, or he was trying to hard. She slightly laughed with her hand over her mouth. It was pretty funny to see him trying to dunk him.

DUNKING!
Target: THACKERY
Nothing Yet

Slightly frowning, Mort shrugged a little as he picked up the balls again and tossed, this time actually trying to aim like Freya had advised and as any other sane creature would; his shots got progressively better for this, but they weren't enough to dunk Thackery. "M'not sure. When talked with Herryk knew something was up, but d-didn't think stretched so far's that . . ." He waffled between telling her or leaving it at that, but if Belladonna was going to accompany them, then he figured she ought to know - so he did in a lower tone. "Freya thinks i-is fat, so won't eat as much anymore. Starting to show."

The sound of soft laughter made him turn his head, and Mort recognized the vampire who had visited before. He gave a little friendly wave.

Following the boil's lead, Belladonna grabbed the next three after him and tossed them, not even bothering to look. The game was fun, but she was doing so poorly that at this point it was more like just trying to actually accomplish something rather than winning. Hopefully there wouldn't be a repeat of Sparrow's booth, where the witch literally had to be carried off by her precious zombie.
"So is Herryk her boilfriend?" Belladonna asked, trying to clarify what exactly was going on. The first try was alright, the second was absolutely marvelous but when Belladonna tried for her third try, Mort leaned over and issued a set of words that only made her drop the ball.
The concerned face from before returned, only this time tainted with all sorts of confusion.
"Why would she think that? She's already so thin, when she hugged me it was like hugging a skeleton. Reapers shouldn't be that thin... She'll hurt herself!" Now the concern deepened and the witch almost stomped her foot in frustration. What could possibly make a person think that about themselves?!

Not wanting to be rude the witch also waved at the vampire girl, sure to splash a smile on her face as well.

She saw him wave to her after he had thrown a couple more object at the target to dunk him. He still didn't dunk him, but at least he was getting better than worse. She waved back gently.

Now, all she wondered what Belladonna and Mort were talking about. Probably something personal. She decided to stay out of their conversation. Though she could hear it, she decided to focus on something else. Terribly rude to ease drop, you know.

After her nap, Serafina decided to give the dunking game another shot. It looked like there was someone new in there... hey, she was game for it. Smirking, Serafina picked up some balls and began to throw them.

Being a bit ... determined to get herself some tokens, Serafina decided it would be worth it to give it another shot. Hey, she had gotten someone dunked earlier, even if it was much to their dismay--admittedly, she felt bad about that later, but hey, tokens--maybe she could get someone else dunked, and maybe their reaction wouldn't make her feel bad later.

...Hm...

Her aim seemed poorer. Maybe she was just tired? Hm... She'd give it another shot. Unlimited, right? What was there to stop her from just tossing more?

Ha! Serafina cheered as the final ball smacked into the button, knocking the boil off his seat. So she had managed to dunk two people today! Hopefully this one wasn't too sad when he came out or she might just feel bad...

But another token was good.

Mort nodded at her first question. "Dunno why," he answered the other. "But intend to find out. Herryk said happened a-after big minipet thing told you about . . ." Which in and of itself had ended in a fuzzy manner, so who knew what had happened?

"D'you mind helping? M'gonna need all can get to convince her otherwise."

Eyebrows stayed furrowed as the witch threw another set of balls, lips pursed as she watched them fall. The last throw was alright, but the first two weren't very good. The witch was rather bad at that... It was taking her altogether too long to dunk Thackery (sorry cute puppy!) and she was starting to get frustrated.
Why ever would getting turned into a minipet make one feel badly about themselves? It didn't really make sense, but often times these sorts of things never actually did. Not to anyone but the one experiencing it, which made it all the harder to help with...

Speaking of help...
"Of course!" Belladonna nearly shouted, hands clenched together as she whirled to look at Mort. "She might actually listen more to a ghoul than either of you... Hopefully she's not hurt herself..." Of all things, that would be worst...

i feel bad for giving you all these notices D:

"Maybe . . ." Every little bit might help. Actually Belladonna was probably in a better position than him since she was actually pretty comfortable with her own body, whereas Mort still was happy to have several layers between him and the outside world. His tosses grew a little half-hearted.

"M'kinda glad festival's almost over," he mentionedwith a little sigh. "Need nice long sleep after this . . . Mrrr, not counting booth clean up n' bringing prizes to room." He groaned at the thought.

"Hopefully..." Belladonna added with a small frown, pink eyes set dismally on her throws. Still not expert at reading minds, the witch had a similar thought as Mort. It had taken her a long time to reach the point of being perfectly alright with herself, as she'd grown up with an older sister who continually demeaned her body. But it was completely possible to be happy with the way one looked, it was even something fairly easy if one put their mind to it. So with a determined huff the witch decided she would help in whatever way she could.

"Oh Hecate, me too. Its been fun, but the stress is starting to get to me..." It felt strange admitting, even to Mort, that she could reach any sort of limit. Normally she operated within the ideal that she existed without limitations. Nothing could get her down or stop her or even slow her down. But Fright Night? It seemed Fright Night was enough to give the witch pause, to slow her roll. "If you need help with your booth or prizes, let me know!" It was going to take her ages to transport those dress forms back to the Home Eek room, but thankfully her prize haul had yet to pop and were therefore vastly easier to carry back.
Her own throws were growing less and less steady, a bit weaker with each toss. Ugh~

Mort waved her offer off. "S'good, s'good, mechs aren't all that heavy for me . . . If anything, should be helping you cart off all those clothes. Anything to get away from Mom," he muttered, taking the balls again and tossing them underhandedly.

He even named them: Herp, Derp, and Hurrrrrr.

"So, ah, had fun?" he asked. "Aside from mishaps n' all that. M'glad you like Sal, by the way, he's been sorta great to hang around." Like a teacher, parent, and friend rolled into one for the zomboil, especially when it came to Lair things.

Oh my glob sorrriiieeee

"Right. Your Mother can probably help more than me." It had been too long a day for the witch to pretend she wasn't even a little resentful of the way Ramona had treated her. At least she'd taken to ignoring the witch toward the end, which really was a blessing. It certainly saved Belladonna the hassle of pretending to be nice.
As for mishaps, the witch refused to even consider those. There were just too many potentially bad things to have come of this night for her to even entertain those little wiggly worms of fear.

"Oh I adore Sal! He is certainly the kindest Horseman I have met. Did I tell you he told me he was his favorite ghoul? He did!" Obviously Belladonna quite favored the Horseman herself, for her eyes went a bit sparkly as she told Mort that. Besides, it wasn't often that people told her she was their favorite. It rarely happened!

There was something relieving in knowing that she had accepted the sage so openly - in a little way it meant she was embracing that new portion of his life he was going to have to contend with for now. "Really?" he said with a warm smile, equally glad Sal had taken to her so fondly; all in all he was very lucky on this front. "Good, good . . . Did you know you're favorite ghoul too?"

The ball tossing wasn't even given the proper attention - it was all mechanical for Mort at this point.

An excited nod was his reply as the witch tossed a few more tries at the target. Poor Thackery was surely bored by all their silly nonsense and lack of ability to actually hit something. The witch's tried were just jack awful, to the point that she was considering giving up simply because she was so tired and doing so poorly. And just as the last ball harmlessly bounced away Belladonna paused, her mouth caught partially opened as she had been preparing to say something.
Instead she turned to Mort, a little slowly, as pink flooded her cheeks. For a second she only stared at him, clearly caught off guard by his words but certainly flattered. After another second she smiled at him, warmly and as brightly as she could.
"I was not aware of that. But were you aware you are my favorite boil?"
